<![CDATA[ABSTRAKBayi berat badan lahir rendah berpotensi menyebabkan terjadinya hipotermi. Jika tidak diatasi akan menyebabkan kematian bayi. Konseling perawatan metode kanguru merupakan cara yang efektif untuk meningkatkan perilaku ibu dalam memenuhi kebutuhan bayi dengan berat badan lahir rendah. Tujuan penelitian adalah menjelaskan pengaruh intervensi konseling tentang perawatan metode kanguru terhadap peningkatan perilaku ibu yang memiliki bayi berat badan lahir rendah.Design penelitian menggunakan Pro eksperimen one-group pra-post test design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sample 15 responden. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar kuesioner dan observasi serta bookleat. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon (α < 0,05).Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai p = 0,001 (α < 0,05) pada pengetahuan ibu yang berarti ada pengaruh intervensi konseling terhadap pengetahuan ibu tentang perawatan metode kanguru, nilai p = 0,001 (α < 0,05) pada sikap ibu yang berarti ada pengaruh intervensi konseling terhadap sikap ibu tentang perawatan metode kanguru dan nilai p = (α < 0,05) pada tindakan ibu yang berarti ada pengaruh intervensi konseling terhadap tindakan ibu tentang perawatan metode kanguru.Intervensi konseling mampu meningkatkan perilaku ibu menjadi lebih baik dalam perawatan metode kanguru. Konseling perawatan metode kanguru sebaiknya ditetapkan sebagai komponen dalam standar operasional prosedur perawatan bayi dengan bayi berat badan lahir rendah. Kata Kunci : konseling, perilaku, metode kanguru, berat badan lahir rendah  ABSTRACT A low birth weight baby has a risk into a hypotermy, if we did not overcome it, the baby would be death. Kangaroo care method is an effective way to care the needs of infants with low birth weight which the most fundamental are the warmth, increase breast milk, protection of infection, stimulation, safety and love. The purpose of this study to explain the effect of counseling intervention on kangaroo care method to increase the behavior of mothers who have low weight birth baby.The reseach used pra experimental one-group pre-post test design. The sample was taken by purposive sampling, 15 respondents. The research instrument used questionnaire and observation and a bookleat also. Analysis of data used statistical test of Wilcoxon (α <0.05). The result showed p = 0,001 (α < 0.05) in the mother's knowledge, which means there was the effect of counseling on maternal knowledge about kangaroo care method, p = 0.001 (α < 0.05) in the mother's attitude which means there the effect of counseling on maternal attitudes about kangaroo care method and p=0.001 (α <0.05) on the actions of the mother, which means there was an influence on the actions of counseling mothers about kangaroo care method. Counseling can improve the ability of the mother to be better in kangaroo care method.
