<![CDATA[ABSTRAKSalah satu penyebab kematian bayi terbesar adalah bayi lahir kurang bulan dan bayi berat lahir rendah. Sedangkan penyebab kematian BBLR adalah masalah nutrisi karena belum maturnya fungsi organ pencernaan. Pemberian nutrisi melalui ASI pada BBLR tidak mudah, karena masalah reflek hisap dan menelan belum ada atau kurang, energi untuk menghisap kurang, volume gaster kecil, sering terjadi refluk dan peristaltik usus lambat. Perawatan metode kanguru bermanfaat dalam pemberian ASI secara langsung karena bayi selalu berada di dekat payudara ibu, menempel dan terjadi kontak kulit ke kulit sehingga intensitas pemberian ASI lebih sering dilakukan dan sangat dianjurkan pada bayi prematur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa pengaruh perawatan metode kanguru terhadap keberhasilan pemberian ASI. Desain penelitian ini adalah pra eksperimental satu kelompok pra tes-pos tes desain. Populasi penelitian ini adalah BBLR yang di rawat di ruang NICU RSUD Ibnu Sina Gresik. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 19 responden yang diambil secara purposif sampling, sesuai kriteria inklusi. Variabel independen adalah perawatan metode kanguru dan variabel dependen adalah keberhasilan pemberian ASI. Data dikumpulkan dengan lembar observasi dan intervensi perawatan metode kanguru dilakukan 3 jam selama 2 minggu. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon sign rank dengan tingkat signifikansi pada p<0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum dilakukan perawatan metode kanguru keberhasilan pemberian ASI rata-rata 3,11 dan sesudahnya rata-rata 4,79. Sedangkan tingkat signifikasi p=0,00 yang berarti ada pengaruh yang bermakna inervensi PMK terhadap keberhasilan pemberian ASI pada BBLR. Pendekatan dan penjelasan terhadap ibu lebih ditingkatkan lagi, sehingga ibu lebih menyadari tentang pentingnya perawatan metode kanguru pada BBLR. Institusi rumah sakit khususnya bidang keperawatan dapat menerapkan perawatan metode kanguru ini sebagai standar operasional prosedur untuk merawat BBLR khususnya dalam pemberian ASI.Kata kunci : Perawatan metode kanguru (PMK), Air susu ibu, bayi berat lahir rendah.ABSTRACTThe main cause of neonatal mortality are premature birth and low birth weight, kangaroo mother care is now suggested to care premature infants. One of the causes of death in low birth weight infant is disturbance of drinking, which accurs because the maturity of gastrointestinal organs function, breast feeding in low birth weight infant is not easy, often there is failure due to suction and swallowing reflexes have not exist or less, energy to suck less, small gaster volume, frequent reflux and slow bowel peristaltic. Kangaroo mother care makes it easier for mother to give breast milk directly because baby always near mother breast, sticking and skin contact occurs to the skin so that the frequency of feeding so much more often. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of kangaroo mother care to the successful of breast feeding in low birth weight infant. The design of this research was pra experimental one group pra test-post test design. The population were low birth weight infant at NICU RSUD Ibnu Sina Gresik. Sample used were 19 respondens taken by purposive sampling, suitable the inclusion criteria.The independent variable was kangaroo mother care and the dependen variable was successful of breast feeding. Data were collected by observation chart and kangaroo mother care intervention the conducted three hours for two weeks. Data were analysed by using Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with significance level at p < 0,05. The result showed that kangaroo mother care was effective for the successfull breast feeding on low birth weight infant with a significance level of p=0,00, Where before kangaroo mother care intervention the average breast milk value 3,11 and after kangaroo mother care intervention the average breast milk value 4,79. The approach and explanation of the mother is further en hanced, so that the mother is more aware about the importance of kangaroo mother care on low birth weight infant.
