Aktifitas Ekstrak Biji Hutung (Barringtonia Asiatica) terhadap Hama Kutu Daun Aphis Craccivora pada Tanaman Kacang Panjang

A research was conducted to analysis the activity of water seed extract of Barringtonia asiatica against a pest Aphis craccivora on string bean. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the insecticidal activity of water seed extract of Barringtonia asiatica against mortality of Aphis Craccivora and damage intensity on string bean. The mortality bioassays were conducted by a leaf-feeding method. Damage intensity on plan was assessed by procentation of damage leaf plan. The results showed that the water seed extract of B. asiatica possessed strong insecticidal activity against Aphis Craccivora. The extract at concentrations of 25 g/l – 100 g/l yielded a simple preparation which could kill 20% - 77% Aphis Craccivora. The extract B. asiatica at its a concentration reduced damage intensity 10% - 16%.
