Abstract

Plant growth producing agarwood Aquilaria malaccensis species grown as a monoculture in the Banggai regency derived from seeds imported from West Kalimantan, in the area of provenance this species can be grown well. This study was to observe the growth rate of Aquilaria malaccensis species with different climatic conditions from the origins. This information is expected can support the development of forest plants agarwood producing in different areas in Indonesia. The parameters observed in this study is diameter and plant height. The measurement of the diameter and plant height conducted every month starting from June 2013 until may 2014. Ancillary data is rainfall and temperature data. The analysis used is simple correlation coefficient analysis (Pearson Correlation) to compare between in diameter, plant high with rainfall and temperature. The results showed that the growth rate of diameter period June 2013 until May 2014 of 0.43 cm while the high growth rate of 14.5 cm. The high growth rate was not correlated with rainfall and temperature, neither the growth rate of diameter with rainfall. While the growth rate of diameter with temperature shows a significant correlation
