<![CDATA[Study on repellency of Vitex trivolia stem bark combined with DEET in the lotion formula to mosquitoes have been done. Extract of V. trifolia was combined with DEET to produce the lotion. The combined lotion is brown, no odor, with pH of 6,7. This lotions are not irritated, gaves emulsion type of o/w (oil in water) and homogenous, stable during 3 months observation. The effective repellency to Aedes aegypti mosquitoes of combined lotions are 78.8, 83.9 and 84.3% for 5% methanol with 1, 3 and 5% b/v of DEET, respectively. The time protection of the combined lotions are 9.2, 116.3 and 169.0 minutes. ABSTRAK Telah dilakukan penelitian uji aktifitas repellent nyamuk dari lotion kombinasi ekstrak metanol batang Vitex trifolia L. dan DEET. Hasil ekstrak batang V. trifolia dikombinasikan dengan DEET dibuat dalam bentuk lotion. Lotion kombinasi ini berwarna coklat, tidak berbau, pH rata-rata 6,7. Lotion ini tidak merusak kulit, mempunyai tipe emulsi m/a (minyak dalam air) dan merupakan sediaan yang homogen, sangat stabil selama 3 bulan masa pengamatan. Hasil uji daya tolak efektif lotion terhadap nyamuk Aedes aegypti, masing-masing 78,8 ; 83,9; dan 84,3% untuk lotion kombinasi 5% ekstrak metanol dengan 1% DEET, 5% ekstrak metanol dengan 3% DEET dan 5% ekstrak dengan 5% DEET. Sementara lama proteksi rata-rata dari lotion kombinasi tersebut secara berurutan adalah 9,2; 116,3; dan 169,0 menit.]]>
