Abstract

KINETIKA REAKSI PELARUTAN TEMBAGA DARI MALACHITE KE DALAM LARUTAN ASAMSULFAT. Penelitian untuk mempelajari kinetika reaksi pelarutan tembaga dari malachite ke dalam larutan asamsulfat telah dilakukan melalui percobaan dalam skala laboratorium di Pusat Penelitian Metalurgi LIPI, denganmenggunakan reaktor gelas kapasitas 1 liter, dilengkapi dengan pemanas listrik dan alat pengaduk yangdigerakan oleh motor listrik. Dari hasil percobaan diketahui bahwa 95,63 % tembaga dapat dilarutkan ke dalamlarutan asam sulfat konsentrasi 7,5 % dari bijih malachite ukuran -100 mesh, pada temperatur 60 °C selamawaktu reaksi 2 jam, dan kinetika reaksi pelarutan mengikuti model reaksi yang dikontrol oleh proses difusidengan energi aktivasi 41 Kkal/mol. AbstractA research to study the reaction kinetics of copper dissolution from malachite into sulfuric acid solution hasbeen done through experiments in laboratory scale at Pusat Penelitian Metalurgi LIPI, using 1 liter capacityglass, equipped by heater and stirrer which is driven by electric motor. The result of this experiment is95,63% copper can be dissolved into sulfuric acid solution 7,5% from ore malachite -100 mesh, thetemperature is 60 °C during 2 hours, and reaction kinetics of dissolution follow the models of reaction thatcontrol by diffusion process with the activation energy 41 Kkal/mol.
