<![CDATA[AbstrakDilaporkan seorang wanita usia 24 tahun di rujuk ke RSUP DR. M Djamil Padang dengan keluhan utama sesak nafas sejak tiga hari sebelumnya. Sesak nafas disertai oleh pembengkakan pada leher, wajah dan dinding dada. Pada riwayat penyakit sebelumnya didapatkan ia telah menderita asma sejak masa anak-anak.Diagnosis ditegakkan sebagai emfisema subkutis akibat eksaserbasi asma berat. Penatalaksanaan terapi berupa pemasangan kateter abocath no.14F yang telah di modifikasi subkutan.Pasien di rawat selama empat hari, kemudian dibolehkan pulang.Kata kunci: emfisema – asma – IV kateterAbstractTwenty four years old female patient admitted to the hospital with symptom of dyspnea since three days before entered the hospital. Dyspnea was accompanied by swelling in the neck, face and chest wall. She had suffered of asthma since a child.Patient was diagnosed as subcutaneous emphysema due to severe excacerbation of asthma.
