<![CDATA[AbstrakSeorang anak berumur 6,5 tahun yang menderita Fibrilary astrositoma dibawa ke rumah sakit dengan keluhan utama kaki kanan lemah sejak 2 minggu sebelum masuk rumah sakit, diplopia, dan kejang. Diagnosis berdasarkan CT-scan dan biopsy. Terapi suportif dilakukan sebelum pembedahan. Pembedahan terdiri dari 2 tahap, pertama berguna untuk menurunkan tekanan intrakranial dengan VP-shunt dan kedua untuk pengangkatan tumor. Reseksi tidak dapat dilakukan sehubungan dengan lokasi tumor. Tatalaksana dilanjutkan dengan radioterapi sebanyak 20 kali dengan dosis total 5000 Gy. Pasien meninggal 1 minggu setelah diperbolehkan pulang, hal ini disebabkan oleh herniasi. Kesimpulan, Fibrillary astrocytoma mempunyai prognosis buruk, karena sifatnya yang cenderung ganas walaupun mendapatkan terapi yang adekuat. Kata kunci : Fibrillary astrocytoma, VP-shunt, radioterapi.Abstract A girl 6.5 years old with Fibrillary astrocytoma was taken to hospital with chief complain right leg weakness since 2 weeks before admission, headache, diplopia and seizure. Diagnosis based on CT-scan imaging and biopsy. Supportive therapy was given to maintain before and after surgery. The surgery contained 2 phase, the first is VP-shunt to decrease intracranial pressure and the second is tumor resection. Tumor resection did not completely because of tumor location. The patient died caused by herniation after 1 week, when the patient allowed go home. Conclusion.
