<![CDATA[Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui keefektifan model quantum teaching dengan media power point ber-link video peristiwa alam pada pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks berita terhadap siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Semarang, (2) mengetahui keefektifan model direct instruction dengan media power point ber-link video peristiwa alam pada pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks berita terhadap siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Semarang, (3) mengetahui lebih efektif mana antara model quantum teaching dengan media power point ber-link video peristiwa alam pada pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks berita terhadap siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Semarang atau model direct instruction dengan media power point ber-link video peristiwa alam pada pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks berita terhadap siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Semarang. Penelitian ini ini menggunakan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kemampuan menulis teks berita menggunakan model quantum teaching dengan media power point ber-link video peristiwa alam lebih efektif dibanding kemampuan menulis teks berita menggunakan model direct instruction dengan media power point ber-link video peristiwa alam.

Abstract
The purposes of this research are (1) to discover the effectiveness of the quantum teaching model with power point media linksworld incident video on the teaching of writing a news text to the students of class VIII in 8 Semarang state junior high school, (2) to discover the effectiveness ofthe direct instruction model with power point media links world incident video on the teaching of writing a news text to the students of class VIII in 8 Semarang state junior high school, (3) to discover more effective between the quantum teaching model with power point media links world incident video on the teaching of writing a news textto the students of class VIII in 8 Semarang state junior high schoolor the direct instruction modelwith power point media links world incident video on the teaching of writing a news textto the students of class VIII in 8 Semarang state junior high school. This research used the randomizeddesign research nonequivalent control group design. The result of this research is the ability to write a news text usedthe quantum teaching modelwith power point media links world incident video is more effectively than the ability to write a news text used the direct instruction modelwith power point media links world incident video.
