<![CDATA[Abstract: The public perception showed that there are some reasons why people choose to be ‘white voters’. They were no longer trust to the local government and care to determine the next leader. They did not support the regional head election and concern about the state life and local development anymore. They threw away the given opportunity and had the negative perception of pragmatic and apathetic white voters. Governmental distrust is the main reason why the voters were unwilling to participate in politics. Key words: public perception; political participation; white voters Abstrak: Persepsi masyarakat menunjukkan adanya berbagai alasan warga untuk menjadi golongan putih, yaitu: tidak percaya lagi terhadap pemerintahan, tidak mendukung pemilihan kepala daerah, sikap acuh terhadap penentuan pemimpin berikutnya, tidak peduli dengan kehidupan negara dan pembangunan di daerah, membuang kesempatan yang telah diberikan, serta ada pula persepsi negatif dari golongan putih apatis dan pragmatis.
