FOCUS AND SCOPE Jurnal Pertambangan is intended for researchers, academics, and practitioners from the field of mining and energy resources. Contributed articles may be focused on the field of mining, covering both minerals and energy resources (coal, oil, gas, and geothermal). The scope of the journal covers all aspects of exploration, operation-production, occupational health and safety (K3), mining environment, reclamation, post-mining activities, community development and empowerment in mining areas, as well as mineral and energy economics and management. Exploration Exploration is an activity to obtain detailed and meticulous information about the location, shape, dimensions, distribution, quality, and estimated resources/reserves of minerals and energy. Operation-Production Production operations are activities that include construction, mining/extraction, mineral processing and/or refining, development and/or utilization, including transportation and marketing. Mineral and Energy Economics and Management Studies and applications addressing economic feasibility, project evaluation, mineral/energy commodity market and trade, resource governance and policy, supply chain and logistics, cost optimization, investment analysis, asset management, and risk management across mineral and energy sectors. Reclamation Reclamation is an activity carried out throughout the stages of the mining business to organize, restore, and improve the quality of the environment and ecosystems so they can function properly according to their intended designation. Post-Mining Activities Planned and systematic activities continued after part or all of the mining business activities are completed, aimed at restoring the function of the natural environment and social functions according to local conditions throughout the mining area. Community Development and Empowerment Community empowerment comprises efforts to improve the capacity, social welfare, and sustainable livelihoods of local communities, both individually and collectively, in areas surrounding mining and energy operations.
