The International Journal of Disaster Management (IJDM) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice in disaster management, disaster risk reduction, and resilience. The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and professionals to address contemporary disaster risks and their implications for communities and society. IJDM publishes original research and scholarly contributions covering disaster risk reduction and management; disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and reconstruction; disaster governance and policy; disaster and risk communication; early warning systems; hazard, vulnerability, and risk assessment; community-based disaster risk reduction; climate-related hazards and adaptation; community resilience; indigenous and local knowledge; social, cultural, and psychosocial dimensions of disasters; disaster education and capacity development; geospatial and technological applications; resilient infrastructure; and interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches to disaster studies.
