Published by Universitas Tidar
Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is an e-journal published by Universitas Tidar. The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) reviewers. Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through initial review processes by Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to peer reviewer (Mitra Bestari) and will go to the next selection by the double-blind review process. After that, the articles will be returned to the authors to revise. These processes take a month for a maximum time. In each manuscript, peer reviewer will be rated from the substantial and technical aspects. Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by editors according to reviewers comments. Peer reviewer that collaboration with Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is the experts in the linguistics, literature, and their teaching area and issues around it. They were experienced in the prestigious journal management and publication that was spread around the nation and abroad.

Abstract

Tuturan permintaan maaf (apology) dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui perilaku penuturnya. Analisis tuturan permintaan maaf seseorang, dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui berbagai aspek perilaku orang tersebut, sopan santunnya, kepekaan sosialnya dan juga sifat dasarnya. Dalam kajian ini, analisis apology dilakukan dengan media transkrip drama “Sound of Music”. Sebuah drama tentang pola asuh anak dalam keluarga dengan single parent berlatarbelakang militer. Terdapat banyak sekali persinggungan karakter dalam drama ini sehingga apology nya dengan mudah dapat diketahui dan kemudian dianalisa. Pada akhirnya dapat disimpulkan bahwa apology yang dituturkan oleh seseorang dipengaruhi dengan kuat oleh kedudukan penutur dan pendengar, jenis kesalahan dan sifat penutur. Semakin peka dan halus sifatnya, maka semakin sopan pula tuturan apology nya.  Keywords: Tuturan apology, perilaku penutur apology, pola tuturan apology.

Abstract

Berbicara adalah keterampilan aktif yang dikuasai dalam mempelajari bahasa setelah keterampilan mendengarkan. Keterampilan mendengarkan dan berbicara tidak dapat dipisahkan karena proses tersebut meliputi kemampuan mendengarkan dan berbicara. Mengajar keterampilan berbicara tidaklah mudah. Guru dilengkapi dengan media dan aktifitas untuk menjalankan proses belajar mengajar menjadi lebih hidup dan menarik. Ada banyak aktifitas yang mungkin diterapkan yang fokus kegiatan pembelajaran pada peserta didik. Salah satunya adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif dan kolaboratif.Situasi dan kondisi siswa dan kelas juga sangat memberikan pengaruh yang cukup besar.Keywords: speaking, cooperative learning, collaborative learning, student-centered activities.

Abstract

Dalam menerjemahkan sebuah novel, perubahan tema-rema terjemahan dapat mempengaruhi hasil terjemahan, terlebih lagi dari sisi keluasan makna yang dinilai dari segi keluasan makna secara tekstual. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskrispsikan variasi keluasan makna secara textual di The Curious Case of Benjamin Button F. S. Fitzgerald dan Kisah Aneh Benjamin F. Chotimah  dan untuk mendeskripsikan kategori variasi keluasan makna secara textual yang sering muncul (2) untuk mendeskripsikan teks yang memiliki derajat keluasan makna secara tekstual lebih tinggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data diambil dari novel The Curious Case of Benjamin Button oleh F. S. Fitzgerald dan terjemahan dari novel tersebut Kisah Aneh Benjamin oleh F. Chotimah. Pengukuran variasi tematik menentukan tingkatan  keluasan makna tekstual yang terdapat di novel terjemahan. Kesimpulan yang bisa diambil (1) variasi secara umum terjadi di variasi skala 1 dan yang paling sering muncul adalah variasi skala “0” (2)ditemukan bahwa 65.76% dari keseluruhan data mempunyai kesamaan derajat keluasan makna.Kata kunci    : variasi tematik, variasi keluasan makna secara tekstual, penerjemahan, sistemik fungsional,

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) mendiskripsikan teknik penerjemahan dan (2) menjelaskan dampak penggunaan teknik penerjemahan terhadap hubungan interdependensi dan makna logiko-semantik dalam klausa kompleks Parataktik. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif – kualitatif dengan menerapkan purposive sampling. Sumber data adalah klausa kompleks dalam cerita pendek Mowgli’s Brother dan versi terjemahannya berjudul ‘Saudara-Saudara Mowgli’. Teknik analisis data menggunakan content analysis. Dalam penelitian ini, ditemukan 8 teknik penerjemahan yaitu teknik transposisi, teknik harfiah, partikularisasi, generalisasi, amplifikasi linguistik, amplifikasi, reduksi, dan peminjaman. Dampak yang disebabkan dari teknik tersebut adalah 21 klausa kompleks parataktik mengalami pergeseran sedangkan 43 klausa tetap. Teknik yang bedampak terhadap pergeseran adalah teknik transposisi. Penerjemahan yang tidak mengalami pergeseran disebabkan oleh teknik harfiah. Pergeseran bisa saja terjadi dalam penerjemahan untuk memudahkan pembaca khususnya anak-anak memahami teks. Kata Kunci: Klausa Parataktik, Teknik Penerjemahan, Pergeseran Penerjemahan, Cerita anak.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the skills of Teater Kenes SMPN 4 Yogyakarta in performing the drama with the “Role Playing” method. This method is one of the various methods used in the study of Drama Performance. One of the advantages of utilizing this method is to help students in solving their personal problems. Role Playing provides the opportunity for students to determine their personal problems, then do some experiment in various ways to resolve the problems when it occurs.This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of the research is Teater Kenes, SMPN 4 Yogyakarta involving 10 students. This study consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation of the learning activities. Analyses are performed with a qualitative descriptive technique that is supported by quantitative data. The validity of the data obtained through validity (processes, products, democratic, and dialogue) and reliability.The results shown that the method of Role Playing can improve playing skills in Teater Kenes SMPN 4 Yogyakarta. The ability of the students in role-play before their implementation of measures categorized is considered as Below Average Category. However, after the implementation of the action during the two cycles, the ability of the students in the drama belongs to Good Category. It is based on the observation of students from Pre-Action with the arithmetic mean value of 17.6 (29.33%), the first cycle of 21.1 (35.17%), and the second cycle the average value of count to 37, 6 (62.67%). The ability to play drama of the students from Pre-Action to the second cycle is increased by 20 (33.34%). Moreover, the process of learning to play the drama is also increased. Prior to the implementation of the action, the students were not stimulated to play a role, less active, and were hesitate to make a move so that the target is less than standard. After the implementation of the action, students become more daring, active in learning, and they are not hesitate to make a move, even they are able to improvise. It can be seen from the observation during the learning process of Pre-Action with the arithmetic mean value of 7.6 (38%), the first cycle of 9.6 (48%), and the second cycle the average value of count to 17, 2 (86%). Thus, the process of learning to play the drama of Pre-Action to the second cycle is increased by 9.6 (48%).Keywords: dramatic play, role playing, teater kenes SMPN 4 yogyakarta

Abstract

Dysgraphia is one of the groups of children with education special needs. Dysgraphia patients are children who have difficulty in writing or expressing thoughts and feelings into written form. Dysgraphia children can not construct words well and can not coordinate their fine motor (hand) to write. The most common cause is a neurological disorder, the disorder in the front left part of the brain that is associated with the ability to read and write. Children experience an imbalance between the ability to remember and muscle motion in writing letters and numbers. Teachers who do not understand the disorder dysgraphia,  often blaspheme child as a child stupid, lazy boy and bad boy. Dysgraphia children simply are not skilled writing has nothing to do with cognitive abilities. Perhaps he was a clever child. Therefore, teachers need to understand the symptoms of dysgraphia aspects, characteristics, and type of disgrafianya, then find the right strategy to help children dysgraphia in writing. Strategies that can be used by teachers is a pre-write strategy starters, tracing letters, write in block letters and cursive writing. With the right strategy, it is expected that children dysgraphia can write normally.Keywords: dysgraphia, learning to write, elementary school

Abstract

Alas! A space, in this case the urban forest, primary considered as public domain which presence is potentially significant as the established-natural-ecology is read but a subject, or valuable entity by investors who want to take over the site to be used as a commercial enterprise promoting economic benefits. The former even tend to deny the historical values and issues on earth-conservation. The complexity of the struggle to win the dispute between the investors, brings the notion of the anthropocentric agenda with local inhabitants over an area which is home to scarce vegetation and indigenous animals, as well as water spring at the heart of Malang City becomes the main awareness excavated by Ratna Indraswari Ibrahim through her work, Lemah Tanjung. Through the perspective of Postcolonial Ecocriticism, the particular point presented in this paper is how Ecological Imperialism is narrated and presented in the novel? The discussion found several indications that Lemah Tanjung, the name of the disputed-place is attributed to and positioned as an alien or other which should not be maintained. It is exploited due to the ‘development’ by investors, teamed-up with the bureaucrat. Abstract

Guru penutur asli Bahasa Inggris dan non-penutur asli Bahasa Inggris masing-masing memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan. Namun, bagi siswa yang mempelajari Bahasa Inggris sebagai Bahasa asing, guru non-penutur asli memiliki kelebihan. Setidaknya, ada empat faktor kelebihan yang hanya bisa di kuasai oleh guru non-penutur asli, yaitu pengetahuan dasar, komunikasi yang efektif, pemahaman kesulitan dan kebutuhan siswa, serta pengaruh multi-budaya dan keanekaragaman. Berdasarkan faktor-faktor tersebut, bisa disimpulkan bahwa guru non-penutur asli memiliki peran yang lebih penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan ber-Bahasa Inggris siswa.Keywords: NESTs, NNESTs, EFL, Learning
