Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of live streaming and celebrity endorsers on impulse buying among skincare users. This research was conducted to the users of skincare products with a total sample of 130 respondetns using purposive sampling techniques and applying descriptive quantitative-based research methods with data processing involving the use of statistical analysis methods through the SEM-PLS programme.  The results of this study reveal that the live streaming variable (? = 0.242 p-value <0.01) has a positive and significant effect on impulse buying among users of the skincare products and celebrity endorsers (? = 0.418, p-value <0.01) have a positive and significant effect on impulse buying among users of the skincare products. Thus,H1 and H2 are accepted. From a theoretical point of view, the results provide a new angle that combines live streaming content and celebrity endorsers in increasing customers' impulse buying, where the more often audiences see, hear, and absorb information about skincare products delivered by celebrities, the more likely they are to make impulse buying

Abstract

Organizational commitment is very important for organizations in order to improve organizational performance. Employee organizational commitment can increase or decrease. Knowing the factors that influence organizational commitment is the key to solving the problem of decreasing employee organizational commitment. This research aims to determine the influence of transformational leadership and Secretary support on employee organizational commitment through empowering psychologists as an intervening agent and structural distance as a moderating variable. Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 276 civil servants who worked at the Regional Apparatus Organization of Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. The research uses a quantitative approach. The data analysis method used is a structural equation model using the Smart-PLS device. The research results show, 1) Transformational leadership and support from the Secretary directly have a positive and significant effect on psychological empowerment. 2) Transformational leadership and psychological empowerment directly have a positive and significant effect on Organizational Commitment, while 3) Secretary Support and Structural Distance do not have a significant effect on organizational commitment. 4) psychological empowerment fully mediates the influence of transformational leadership on organizational commitment, and also mediates the influence of Secretary support on organizational commitment. 5) Structural distance moderates the influence of transformational leadership on employee organizational commitment in the Bintan Regency Regional Apparatus Organization. And also moderates Psychological Empowerment of Organizational Commitment, but does not moderate Secretary Support for Organizational Commitment. The results of this research recommend that practitioners and leaders in the Bintan Regency Regional Apparatus Organization be able to improve transformational leadership competence in inspiring followers, and encourage the Secretary to accommodate opinions from subordinates, include subordinates in the planning process and increase employee organizational commitment.

Abstract

Prediction of student academic achievement is a very important research area; this can be seen from the many researchers who conduct research in this area. To make predictions, a machine learning model is needed. Along with their parameters, the majority of machine learning models have associated hyperparameters. However, knowing the right mix of hyperparameters is essential for robust model performance. A methodical procedure called hyperparameter optimization (HPO) aids in determining the appropriate values for them. In this study we compared four hyperparameters tuning techniques, namely HyperOpt, Random Search, Optuna and Grid Search. The results of the hyperparameters from each of these techniques are then used in machine learning algorithms to predict student academic achievement. Validation uses the 5-fold cross validation method while performance testing uses Mean absolute error. From the experimental results it was found that the hyperparameter technique The best method for predicting student academic achievement in machine learning models is gridsearchcv.

Abstract

One of the corporate actions carried out by companies is mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This research aims to examine the impact of merger and acquisition (M&A) announcements on stock returns of banking companies listed on LQ 45 for the 2011-2021 period. This research uses the event study method, with 3 banking companies from 8 merger and acquisition (M&A) events, with an event window of 91 days, namely 45 days pre-announcement, 1 day of announcement and 45 days post-announcement. The results of this research show that the market responded positively to 8 merger and acquisition (M&A) announcement events. The benefit of this research is for policy makers to stimulate stock prices with the help of various announcements from their corporate action strategies. Investors will be helped in understanding stock market mechanisms in making wise investment decisions before reacting to corporate actions. Meanwhile, policy makers are interested in influencing stock prices and investors are interested in the composition of risk-return parameters in their portfolios. This research will act as an important investment tool for both.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between gender inequality and GDP development in several fields, such as health, education, economics, and employment. A panel random effect regression model is used to analyze the data in order to achieve this. This study found that economic growth in South Kalimantan is negatively and significantly affected by gender inequality in education, as indicated by the average ratio of school time. According to the life expectancy ratio, the gender disparity in health has a small but favorable impact on economic growth in South Kalimantan. When the per capita expenditure ratio is used to examine economic disparities in South Kalimantan, a negative and significant effect becomes apparent. Gender imbalance in the workplace considerably retards South Kalimantan's economic growth, as seen by the ratio of women to males in the working force.

Abstract

This research discusses the influence of the application of audit technology on audit efficiency and accuracy in manufacturing companies in Indonesia. This research uses a type of quantitative research with a survey approach with the method used is saturated sampling/census, with a sample of 26 manufacturing companies in Indonesia. This research data analysis technique uses PLS software version 3.0 (Partial Least Square). The results of the research showed that the application of audit technology had a positive and significant effect on efficiency with a statistical t value of 31.066 > 2.055 and a P-value of 0.000, this means that techniques for implementing audit technology such as audit information systems , big data analytics. , and AI (artificial intelligence) technology can significantly improve the efficiency of the audit process. This technology allows auditors to conduct deeper analysis of transaction data and complex patterns, identifying anomalies or potential risks more quickly and precisely. The application of audit technology has a positive and significant effect on audit accuracy with a statistical t value of 76.415 > 2.055 and a P-value of 0.000, this means that accurately, audit technology can also minimize human error in the audit process, because it can carry out automatic testing and broader analysis of available data. This increases the accuracy of the financial reports produced, which is one of the main objectives of the audit process in supporting transparency and public trust in public companies.

Abstract

In the era of Artificial Intelligence, this study seeks to analyze and recommend an effective learning model for fostering converts in Padang City. Using a qualitative literature review method, the research examines various learning models relevant to the socio-cultural context of the Minangkabau community. The findings highlight the need for a holistic and multidimensional approach in supporting the learning process of converts. Models such as andragogy, constructivism, cooperative learning, contextual learning, problem-based learning, experiential learning, and transformative learning have been identified as particularly effective. In addition to the selection of learning models, key factors that determine success include the quality of educators, the relevance of learning materials, and the presence of a supportive learning environment. The integration of Minangkabau local wisdom is also deemed essential in helping converts comprehend Islamic teachings in a culturally sensitive manner. Furthermore, the research emphasizes the importance of psychosocial support, including emotional and social assistance, throughout the development process. Given these findings, the study proposes the development of a comprehensive, phased curriculum, the provision of intensive training for converts, the creation of contextual learning materials, the incorporation of advanced AI technologies in the learning process, the formation of support networks, and the establishment of cross-sector collaborations to enhance the learning experience.
