Abstract

This research was conducted to design an Android-based Smart Home application user interface that is easily understood by users to control the system and test the User Experience on the smart home application design. The data collection methods used were questionnaires, observations, and literature studies. For the system development method using the Linear Sequential Model / Waterfall Model method. Applications used in making designs and smart home applications include Android Studio, Sublime, Xampp, Adobe Xd, and Adobe Illustrator. The testing methods used include Usability testing and Usability Measurement using the USE Quistionnaire. This research produces a Smart Home application design that can be used by users to easily control the system.

Abstract

Technology that continues to develop always provides new changes in improving the quality and performance of a company. Booking tourist tickets is one of the businesses that requiring the right information technology assistance. This business requires high mobility, fast information distribution, fast customer service, and real-time communication between branches or cities. Through this travel ticket application, users can find out the destination tourist locations in detail, order tickets online, and make ticket payments digitally to make it easier for tourists to make transactions. The data states that from 21 respondents, or 47.6% of the people of Pemalang city, they have difficulty when ordering tourist tickets in Pemalang City. Some people say that there are sometimes long queues in purchasing tickets, so it takes a long time, Difficulty in queuing when buying tourist tickets, especially on weekends, and too long queues make you lazy. So the author makes the design of the Prototype of the Travel Ticket application to make it easier for tourists to order tickets. The application prototype design process is carried out using the User Experience Lifecycle method. The design method is carried out using the wheel method initiated by Hartson and Pyla by paying attention to usability and user experience. This method has four stages, namely analysis, design, prototype, and evaluation. Usability testing on the Travel Ticket application is carried out using the System Usability Scale method..

Abstract

In the midst of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 in Indonesia, there was a change in the tendency of customer behavior to process shopping transactions, especially at minimarket outlets. With the implementation of physical distancing, customers are required to shop as effectively as possible to avoid accumulation in outlets. Company management must make a strategy to respond to changes in customer behavior. In this study, Business Intelligence and Market Basket Analysis methods were developed, namely Apriori to analyze customer behavior by analyzing sales transaction history. The results show that the Business Intelligence dashboard can display data in the form of graphs and tables, making it easier for users in the analysis process. In addition, the Association Rule using the Apriori method produces support and confidence values ​​as a description of interrelated products, so that merchandising parties can easily make decisions. The results of the blackbox test show that the application developed can be accepted by the user because all user needs can be completed by the application

Abstract

Chicken eggs are a type of egg that is easy to find and favored by many people. So that the community's need for chicken eggs is needed to meet the needs of animal protein sources and their daily nutrition. This study analyzes the application of the K-Means Clustering Algorithm Data Mining on the Layering Poultry Population in Indonesia. The source of data on the population of laying hens in Indonesia is obtained and collected through the website of the National Statistics Agency. The data used is from 2016-2020 which consists of 34 provinces. The data will be grouped into 3 clusters, namely high, medium, and low population clusters. Data processing is done manually in Microsoft Excel and assisted by data mining tools, namely Rapidminer and Orange. The results of the data processing show the same results, namely 1 province for the high population cluster, 3 provinces for the medium population cluster and 30 provinces for the low population cluster. The purpose of this study is for the government and breeders to pay more attention to the number of laying hens in Indonesia based on clusters that have been carried out to maintain a balance in the number and stability of egg prices in the community.

Abstract

The Institute for Courses and Training is a non-formal education that provides various special training to educate students' skills. However, there are things that often become obstacles for prospective students, namely being confused about choosing courses according to their preferences. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to design an online course application with a recommendation system for the Content-based Filtering method. In addition, this research also applies the cosine similarity algorithm to determine courses that are similar to the course history that has been accessed by the user. The dataset used to run the recommendation system algorithm was taken from the Kaggle website entitled “Udemy Course” with a total of 3,682 records. The final result of this research is an online course application that can provide course recommendations based on the highest similarity value from the cosine similarity algorithm.

Abstract

Foreign Citizens are recorded in a government agency, namely the Class II Immigration Office of Tanjung Balai Asahan in the field of Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement. The information available at the Immigration Office is limited to data in the form of tables containing information from the foreigner, so that when the data increases, it will be difficult for officers to search for foreigner data. Therefore, we need a geographic information system regarding the distribution of foreigners. This research uses Leaflet, and Quantum GIS for map visualization. The existence of this geographic information system can provide information about foreigners to the public in order to socialize the presence of foreigners, and can also report the presence of foreigners who have not been registered, and can support immigration services for the supervision of foreigners.

Abstract

On yearly basis, many new students coming from outside the city who plan to continue their education in a new environment or place. Because of this, the need for housing also increases proportionally, especially in the areas that are close to university institutions. But often due to the limited information confused the prospective and new coming students in finding the housing to live on. Therefore, the author intends to develop a boarding house web application that can provide this information and connect the boarding house provider with the boarding house seeker. This is also very flexible as it can be accessed anytime and anywhere as long as it has an internet connection. The author applies the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology during this research process. At the end of the research, a boarding house web application will be produced where the boarding house owner can promote their housing and the boarding house seeker can find the desired housing with all the information listed inside the application. From this research, the author concludes that the boarding house application is needed at this time. And the application of XP methodology is very suitable because of the short period of research and of course because the XP methodology is very structured.

Abstract

Science and technology is experiencing rapid development and progress in the world of education. One of them is technology in learning media. Language recognition in children needs to be improved on the media. The purpose of this research is to build interactive learning media for the introduction of IMAI languages (Indonesian, Mandarin, Arabic, and English) to broaden students' knowledge of languages. With the existence of learning media packaged with animation using Adobe Flash, it can also attract students' interest in learning languages. This learning media uses the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) development model with 6 stages. The result of this research is an interactive learning media for the introduction of the IMAI language (Indonesian, Mandarin, Arabic, and English) at the elementary level with material aimed at grade 3 elementary school students

Abstract

PT. Sinergi Indo Prima is a company that supports employment services or called outsourcing. Services included in the outsourcing are security guards, administrative staff, factory workers, drivers, sales promoters, and cleaning services. As for looking for prospective workers PT. Sinergi Indo Prima Medan has a problem, namely the system is still manual, data input only uses Microsoft Excel or does not have a professional decision support system in selecting prospective workers who meet the criteria, so that the prospective workers to be distributed are not in accordance with the competencies of the areas of expertise assigned to them. required by companies in need. In this study the author uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) development method, using the C5.0 Algorithm, with the support of Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools using the Java programming language based on Android Studio, Microsoft Visio and Umlet to design the interface. The results of the design of the recruitment selection system for outsourcing prospective workers is an application called AKSIP which is used for the data selection process for prospective workers in each job category, while the results of testing data from 6 job categories using the C5.0 Algorithm achieve a success percentage of accuracy value of 94%
