Treatment of cardiovascular diseases tends to be expensive and requires long-term therapy. Investigation about the effect of pumpkin seeds on prevention of endothelial dysfunction of blood vessel has never been reported yet, accordingly, bodies of research are required to know its effectiveness. This study aimed to analyze the expression of Vascular Cell Adhesion Molecule (VCAM) in male Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) with hypercholesterolemia supplemented with pumpkin seeds extract (Cucurbita moschata Duch). This was an experimental laboratory study with randomized post-test control group design. The independent variable was pumpkin seeds extract, and the dependent one was expression of VCAM. Data analysis employed chi-square test to test the difference between control and treatment groups. Study results showed that there was significant difference (p=0.000) between VCAM expression in group-K2 (positive control) as compared to group-K1 (negative control) and group-K5 (treatment group-dose 3) α=0.001, whereas no significant difference was found between that of as compared to group-K3 (treatment group-dose 1) α=0.125 and group-K4 (treatment group-dose 2) α=0.05. The study showed reduction of VCAM expression in treatment groups consisted of male Wistar rats with hypercholesterolemia supplemented with pumpkin seeds (Cucurbita moschata Duch) extract. Keywords: Pumpkin seeds, VCAM expression, hypercholesterolemia

The objective of this study was to assess the difference between 0-6 months of exclusive breastfeeding status in breastfeeding mothers who received Moringa leaf extract and Moringa flour. Intervention study with double blind with randomized controlled. implemented in Maros regency of South Sulawesi. A total of 70 nursing mothers and infants were sampled, 35 intervention and 35 controls. purposive sampling based on the inclusion criteria. Material of intervention in the form of Moringa leaf extract and control in the form of Moringa leaf powder, encapsulated in the same color and weight. The data were analyzed statistically with T test. Generally 25-year-old research subjects (53%), primary school (56%), daddy labor (54%), generally had 1 infant (70%), and family food expenditure above 70% (57%). Maternal characteristics did not differ significantly between groups. The results showed that the infant's nutritional status based on the Z score of body weight by age (WA) at 4 months of age was significantly different (p = 0.030) and was not significantly different (p = 0.062) at 6 months. Infants' nutritional status based on Z score of body length by age (HA) was not significantly different at age 4 and 6 months (p = 0.339 and 0.265). Keywords: Moringa extract, Infant, Nutritional status

The Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) is one of the methods to perform cervical cancer test by applying acetic acid. The huge number of cervical cancer cases in Indonesia has worsened because more than 80% of the cases that have been brought to hospitals were already in an advanced stage. The aim of the research is to analyse the variable influence: projection, self efficacy and intention toward the decision to perform early detection of cervical cancer with the VIA test. The research design was cross sectional. The population were women of childbearing age in Pematangsiantar and the samples size were 245 respondents selected by multistage random sampling. The variables were projection, self efficacy intention and decision. The statistical analysis was Structural Equation Modelling. The results of the study were: 1) self efficacy affects intention (p= 0.000), 2) projection affects intention (p= 0.000), 3) intention affects decision (p= 0.000). The models of projection, self efficacy and intention take effect on the decision to perform early detection of cervical cancer with the VIA. Keywords: Self efficacy, Intention, Decision, Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid

From the result of the research showed that the implementation process of PMTCT program influences the development of PMTCT program in every year and will cause positive impact for both health worker and pregnant woman. In the process of PMTCT program implementation was influenced by several factors, such as, there were factors that support from the implementation process of PMTCT program as well as heading off the factors. From these inhibiting factors, several strategies were used to support the PMTCT program. Based on the research, it is necessary to conduct further research on the implementation process of PMTCT program Keywords: PMTCT (prevention of mother to child HIV transmission); Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

Prognosis of cancer depends on variables, other factors, the stage of cancer, the biological warfare and general conditions when the cancer is diagnosed. Social status, economic status, and demographic issues choose in determining the stage of cancer when the patient first comes to the hospital. The purpose of this study to examine the role, nutritional status, and family history with breast cancer patients in Dr. Soetomo hospital. The study conducted in this study was a non-reactive or non-intrusive method. The sample in the analysis using simple random sampling with sample size of 95 patients. Does not contain the effect of variables associated with grade of breast cancer with p-value 0.795. While for variable of nutritional status and family history with cancer to breast cancer level with p-value 0.033 and 0.005. The p-value in the fitting information table was 0.003 model which contains not only the intercept that was not displayed. The value of Nagelkerke 0.157 or 15.7% means that variable cost, nutritional status and family history with cancer can be used only by 15.7%. From the existing variables was 2 significant variables, namely nutritional status with p-value 0.033 and family history with cancer with p-value 0.005. While time did not significantly influence breast cancer rate with p-value 0.795. Keywords: Grade of breast cancer, Age, Nutritional status, Family history
