Abstract

The communication method of Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation (SBAR) are effective communication techniques that aim to improve patient safety. This study aims to analyze the application of SBAR communication to nurses to improve the safety culture of patients who are part of the service at A.W. Sjahranie Hospital, Samarinda, Indonesia. This study used a cross-sectional design with a population of 452 people spread over 14 service units. The sample size was 77 people. Variables in this study were SBAR communication methods and patient safety culture. The instrument used to assess the application was the SBAR communication method in the form of an observation sheet for the procedure for reporting patients' conditions during handover while collecting data on variable patient safety culture used a questionnaire from the agency for Healthcare Research Quality (AHRQ). Data of SBAR communication technique variables were collected using the observation method, while the patient safety culture variable was collected by distributing patient safety culture questionnaires. Data were analyzed using a Chi-Square test. The results of this study showed that nurses who used the SBAR communication method had a better patient safety culture (p = 0.000). The conclusion is the SBAR communication method to nurses can use to improve patient safety culture in the hospital. Keywords: SBAR communication method, Patient safety culture

Abstract

The adolescent is a transition period from childhood to adulthood, signed by rapid development in physical, mental, emotional and social. Earlier sexual initiation by the adolescent, increasing the risk to get sexually transmitted diseases, unmeet need, teen's pregnancies, and unsafe abortion. The younger adolescent sexual intercourse, the greater the risk of transmission of infectious diseases through sexual transmission. In Indonesia, the age of adolescent who had premarital sexual intercourse was 9-24 years old. Prevalence of unmarried boys who had to have sex is 8.3% and girls are 1%. This study aims to know the determinants of resilience adolescent for not doing premarital sexual intercourse. The results show that adolescent's survival cumulative proportion is about 92.6% and age mean of sexual debut is 15.8 years old. Factors associated with adolescent's survival not to have premarital sexual intercourse are sexual arousal behavior (AHR: 7.7; 95% CI: 5.2-11.3), drunk with alcohol (AHR: 1.5; 95% CI: 1.1-2) and kissing. The association between kissing and adolescent's survival rate is different in each time unit (year). Need enforcement to give earlier education about adolescent's health reproduction, not just as formal education in high school, but also in the family and adolescent's community to prevent premarital sexual intercourse among adolescents. Abstract

Multidrugs Resistance Organisms (MDROs) resulted by unsuitable antibiotics using and calculated 700,000 deaths per year of bacteria immune that predicted 10 million people killed in 2050. Documentation of MDROs in hospitals is a way to identify non-compliance antibiotics during treatment with periodically recording method of antibiotic. Web using become a facility to recorded antibiotik used and the method was developed in this research. Study document used that related MDROs in hospital of web model development, the study results are discussed with users of the system. Discussion results written into data needed table to identified the development web model. Normalization the databases and connecting between existing entities in the database into the Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), it becomes a whole model database on the web model. The simulation results revealed that web models designed to identify patients with MDROs risk are effective to use especially for routine hospital data recording. Abstract

Rhodamin B is dangerous for body due to its ability to improve oxidative stress on various reproduction tissues on female. However, there is no significant scientific proof that Rhodamin B exposure influences VEGF and the number of arteriole on endometrium. VEGF and arteriole is crucial to angiogenesis process of endometrium. This study aimed at finding out the effect of EVOO on Expression of VEGF and Arteriole number of female Rattus Norvegicus of Wistar Strain exposed to Rhodamin B.Keywords: Rhodamin B, Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO), Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), Arteriole
