Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the value of the indicator of food security levels, to assess food security levels, and to understand the indicators that most affect food security levels in the bungo county of the jambi province. The basic method for this study is the institutional survey of taking secondary data to agencies in order to know the food security index. For data analysis using multiple liniear analysis. The accuracy of the model is tested using statistical tests, namely the t-test, F-count and coefficient of determination adjusted for R-sq. Studies indicate that there are 3 unequal indicators for food security: households with a proportion of 65% spending in their total coin income is quite poor (21.42%), women's education over 15 years of age (10%) and the health-care ratio of people to very low population densities (2.75). And the other 6 variables that have been consistent with the country's high surplus ratio of consumption to food production (0.038), people who live below the world's poverty line are resilient enough (10.11%), people with no access to electricity with extreme resistance (4.25%),Residents with no access to clean water in highly resistant conditions (39.39%), highly resilient predatives (18.24%) and highly resilient life expectancy at birth (99.74%).The food safety index in the bungo district is in a very resilient state with an index of 0.06. The indicator that particularly affects food security levels is the ratio per health-care to population density.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Trichoderma sp., And Streptomyces sp., On the production of garlic plants. The research objective was to obtain a combination of biological fertilizers, which are suitable for the cultivation of local Indonesian garlic plants. The study was started by making a suspension by taking the inoculant Trichoderma sp., And Streptomyces sp., Using ose, then put it in a liquid medium and incubated for 5 days. Inoculation of Trichoderma sp., And Streptomyces sp., was done by pouring it into the planting hole area of 5 mL each of the garlic plants according to the treatment consisting of control (without suspension); giving suspension of Trichoderma sp .; Suspense Streptomyces sp .; and Trichoderma sp. + Streptomyces sp. Data were analyzed using the F test, treatments that had a real effect were further tested with the Least Significant Difference Test at the 5% level. The results showed that the treatment significantly affected plant height, dry tuber weight, and tuber diameter. The highest average for all observation parameters was found in the fungus Trichoderma sp. + Streptomyces sp., While the lowest average was in the treatment without the fungal suspension for all parameters of the observation.

Abstract

Availability of pepper seeds continuously, good quality, and free from stem rot disease is still limited at the farmer level. This study aims to determine the composition of the planting medium and the best concentration of organic fertilizers in spurring pepper seeds' growth. The study was compiled using a two-factor factorial design based on a randomized block design. The first factor is the media's composition for planting sand, compost, and soil in 5 levels, namely 1:0:1, 1:1:0, 1:1:1, 1:2:1, and 2:1:1. The second factor is applying liquid organic fertilizer (POC), made from forage. It consists of three levels of concentration, namely POC 10 ml, 20 ml, and without POC (control). Fifteen treatment combinations were repeated three times. The results showed that the combination of POC and the composition of the planting medium could stimulate pepper seedlings' growth. POC 20 ml/liter and the composition of the media of sand + compost + soil 1:1:0 and 1:1:1 resulted in the best shoot lengths, namely 13.91 cm and 13.23 cm, respectively. The planting medium of sand + compost + soil with a composition of 1:1:1 was able to spur the emergence time of pepper cuttings faster, namely 19.13 days after planting, and the number of leaves was higher, namely 5.40.

Abstract

The reproductive process's success is mostly determined by the conditions of the male and female who are married. Male quality is determined by testicular size, libido, and, most importantly, semen quality. One of the factors that determine testicular size and libido is nutrition. Moringa is a type of vegetable that has excellent nutritional content. This study aimed to determine the effect of Moringa leaves on scrotum circumference and libido of Bali cattle. This study used 12 male Bali cows with a bodyweight of 150-200 kg aged 2-4 years, divided into two treatments: cows without Moringa leaves and cows given Moringa leaves. Moringa leaves (room dried) were given as much as 0.1% of body weight in the morning for 13 weeks. Data were collected once a week. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed using SPSS with the T-Student Independent Sample test. The results showed that cows given Moringa leaves were not significantly different from cows that were not given Moringa leaves (control treatment) in the initial seven periods of the study (P> 0.05). Still, after that period (weeks 8-13), there was a significant effect. very significant (P <0.01). In contrast to the libido, the scrotal circumference size of Bali Cows given Moringa leaves was significantly different from the control treatment (P <0.01). This means that Moringa leaf supplementation can increase the scrotal circumference and libido at the 8th week of Moringa leaf supplementation.

Abstract

Soil fungi, which produce hormones that occupy the rhizosphere ecosystem, have roles as agents to promote plant growth. This study aims to isolate rhizosphere fungi in mahogany in the Experiment Forest of Universitas Hasanuddin, and identify the fungal isolates obtained based on morphological characters. The research began with rhizosphere soil sampling, isolation, and identification based on morphological characters. The rhizosphere microbial isolation on mahogany stands in the Unhas Educational Forest obtained 18 fungal isolates with varied morphological characteristics, both in colony color and elevation. Microscopic observations resulted in 4 genera, namely Rhizopus, Gliocladium, Trichoderma, and Aspergillus. The results showed that there were superior fungi isolates that could produce growth hormones and could be applied to forest plant seeds. The formula with these select fungi can give the seeds optimal growth in forest plant seeds.
