Abstract

Geoelectrical is one of geophysics methods which is used to investigate the early stage in the shallow exploration. The research is conducted at Bledug Kuwu with Schlumberger configuration method containing the two points of potential electrodes and the two points of electrical current electrodes. The equipment used in this research are OYO model 2119C, GPS, meter roll, cable as current and potential electrodes. The purpose of the research is to identify the spreading pattern of salty zone at Bledug Kuwu. The distribution pattern of salty zone is characterized by thickness of 1.55 to 71.9 meters and rangeresistivity of 0.055 to 0.460 Ωm. At west of large Bledug, the salty zone is detected at the depth of 5.0 to 10.0 meters and 30.0 to 50.0 meters. Meanwhile at east of large Bledug, the salty zone is detected at the depth of 5.0 to 15.0 meters and 40.0 to 60.0 meters. The salty zone spread from north to south at both west and east of large Bledug with resistivity of 0.05 to 0.50 Ωm at depth of 5.0 to 50.0 meters.

Abstract

REDUCTION AND LEACHING PROCESSES. Indonesia has a large source of iron ore which is quite tempting for the purposes of exploitation in form of raw materials as well as for the production of pig iron. However, not all sources of iron ore are proved useful since not only because the present of deposit is scattere dinamounts of less significant but also because it contains element of tin oxide compounds with iron like ilmenite or FeTiO3. However,ilmenite can actually be used as a source of titanium metal which is much more valuable than Fe it self. In order to recover the Ti from their respective compound it is required the release of strong bonds between the atoms in the compound. This paper reports the recovery of Ti oxide of ilmenite containing iron ore which was obtained through a combination of carbon reduction and acid leaching processes. Carbon reduction of iron ore was carried out through mechanical milling between iron ore and carbon with a ratio of 1:1. This was successively followed by a sintering at a temperature of 1000 oC employing a heating rate of 10 ° C/min for 0-3 hours. The reduction process has resulted in the formation of 27.83wt% TiO2. In order to improve the recovery level of TiO2, further reduction process was conducted through an HCl leaching. This successive stage produced fine powders in the form of deposits. Based on our quantitative analysis, the recovery of TiO2 increased to a level of 73.73%.

Abstract

The effect of current density on thickness and crystal structures of the coatings in the electroplating of nickel on copper has been investigated. The electroplating of nickel was conducted at a voltage of 0.5 V for 10 minutes with varied current densities of 0.3 mA/cm2; 0.6 mA/cm2; 0.9 mA/cm2; and 1 mA/cm2. The nickel coatings werw tested by thickness measurement and crystal structures determination. The experimental results showed that the thickness of the nickel coatings increased as the current density increased. The XRD characterization of the nickel coatings revealed the diffraction patterns for cubic structures with orientation of (111) and (200). As the current density increases, the crystal with (111) and (200) orientation tends to be formed more lagely.

Abstract

Identification of temple sites have been performed on the Bukit Carang region atAnggrasmanis, Jenawi, Karanganyar, Central Javausing the geoelectricity resistivitymeasurement with a dipoles configuration method. This method can determine buried sites around the site groundwork. Software Surfer ver 8.0 and Res2dinv ver 3.30b are used to analyze the mapping data and the sounding data, respectively. This research foundelevenanomalies structured andesite’s rock with resistivity of935-1511 Ωmwhich is considered as temple sites.

Abstract

Solution of the harmonic oscillator equation has a goal to get the energy levels of particles moving harmonic. The energy spectrums of one dimensional harmonic oscillator are analyzed by 3 methods: path integral, hypergeometry and operator. Analysis of the energy spectrum by path integral method is examined with Schrodinger equation. Analysis of the energy spectrum by operator method is examined by Hamiltonian in operator. Analysis of harmonic oscillator energy by 3 methods: path integral, hypergeometry and operator are getting same results ???? = ℏ???? (???? + 1 2)

Abstract

Investigation of landslide slip surface has been conducted at Salaman Sub village, Pablengan Village, Matesih District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province by using dipole-dipole array geoelectrical resistivity method. Data processing were using Res2Dinv version 3.45 (semi demo version) software. The interpretation result showed that at the research area was found lithology consist i.e. clay, wet clay, sandy clay until claysand, sand until breccia. The slip surface is a wet clay layer with resistivity value range from 19.3 Ω m to 36.6 Ω m, for one section was found with depth of 1.7 meter until 17 meters, and for two section was found with depth of 8.9 until 16.4 meters.

Abstract

The interaction of two nucleons in the form of protons and neutrons as a bound system in the local potential, known as the deuteron, has been investigated. Two-nucleon interaction potential field through the core will produce a nuclear force where the force between nucleons is generated by the exchange of mesons. One of the members of the group of meson particles is pion. Pion can be chargedπ + ,π -or neutral,π 0. Interaction potential form of the simplest is the exchange of one pion potential (OPEP), V OPEP , which has a radially independent of Yukawa potential. In this study, the first step taken is to perform discretization of the OPEP potential expression coupled with the equation of the boundary conditions due to the influence of interaction distances. The next step is to implement a programming technique to obtain the value associated with the potential influence of OPEP in the deuteron, the magnitudes of the static deuteron, such as a pion distance exchange, and mass estimates pion involved in this interaction.

Abstract

Iron (Fe) doped titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films have been successfully deposited by using spin coating technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) were employed to characterize the microstructure and crystallite morphology of the films. It was indicated that the rutile crystal orientation appears due to increasing annealing temperature of the thin films. Furthermore, increasing annealing temperature of the thin films yielded an increasing of porosity value which is related to the application on gas sensor films.
