Abstract

This research and development (R&D) aimed at creating an Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) based module for seventh-grade global warming material that has good feasibility and readability. The research process involves preliminary studies, planning, draft development of the product, initial field trials, and revisions based on trial results. During the initial field trial stage, an assessment of the module's feasibility and readability was conducted. The data sources for this research include experts and students. Data collection was carried out using feasibility assessment sheets, readability question sheets, and readability questionnaires. The results of the module feasibility assessment yielded an average final score of 88.25%, interpreted as excellent. Similarly, the results of the module readability test showed an average final score of 88.44%, also interpreted as excellent.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) find improvement of science literacy of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 01 Bajeng, Gowa Regency who were taught using structure inquiry learning model and who were taught using conventional learning model, 2) the effect of structured inquiry learning model on improving science literacy. The population of this study was all students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 01 Bajeng, Gowa, totaling 9 classes with a total of 309 students. Sampling was taken using a purposive sampling technique to obtain class VIIIA as an experimental class with a total of 29 students and VIIIB as a control class with a total of 29 students. The results showed that 1) the science literacy competency of students who were taught using a structured inquiry learning model on the material of “Light and Optical Devices” increased with an average N-gain score of 0.54 in the medium category. Students’ science literacy who are taught using conventional learning models has increased with an average N-gain score of 0.40 in the moderate category, 2) there is an effect of structure inquiry learning model on improving the science literacy competence of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 01 Bajeng

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the profile of digital literacy skills of prospective science teacher; and (2) whether there are differences in digital literacy skills. This research method is ex-post facto. The population in this study were all prospective science teacher students in Department of Science Education at Universitas Negeri Makassar in the odd semester of the 2022–2023 academic year. The sample was selected using proportionate stratified random sampling techniques, totaling 206 people spread across batches 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. The non-test research instrument in the form of a questionnaire consists of 10 statement numbers based on the three dimensions of digital literacy skills proposed by Ng (2012), namely technical, cognitive, and socio-emotional, which are analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics with one-way ANOVA test analysis. Based on the results of the descriptive statistical analysis of the digital literacy skills of prospective science teacher are in the medium category. Based on the results of an inferential statistical analysis, there are significant differences in the digital literacy skills of prospective science teacher at Universitas Negeri Makassar based on batch.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the significant influence of the application of Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategies on students' cognitive abilities in Biology subjects at SMAN 1 Tanjung Brebes. This research is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The subjects are teachers and students, while the object is the application of Active Knowledge Sharing strategies to student learning outcomes. The population was all 288 students in class X of SMAN 1 Tanjung Brebes. The sample was 36 students in class X.2 as the experimental class and 36 students in class X.1 as the control that selected by purposive sampling method. The data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires, documentation and tests. Based on the results, it was found that the cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class that used Active Knowledge Sharing strategies were higher than those in the control class that used conventional learning. This is proven through t test which shows that  that there is a difference in improving student learning outcomes between classes that use Active Knowledge Sharing strategies assisted by Google Classroom and classes that do not use Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategies at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Brebes in biology learning virus material.
