Abstract

ABSTRACT                This research is a survey research that aims to determine the characteristics and level of feasibility of ponds for seaweed cultivation (Gracilaria sp) based on physical parameters (temperature, salinity, depth, brightness, phosphate, type of substrate, tidal amplitude and protection) and chemistry (pH, dissolved oxygen, Nitrate). The population in this study was the existing pond area in Panyiwi Village, Cenrana Subdistrict, Bone Regency, the sample as many as 8 points / observation station was determined using purposive sampling method based on the location and water source of the pond. Data collection time is done twice, morning and evening. Research data obtained by observation, direct measurements in the field (temperature, salinity, depth, brightness, dissolved oxygen, pH and protection) and laboratory analysis (phosphate, nitrate, and substrate type) were then analyzed using the weighting method. After obtaining the score value of each parameter at each observation point, then the assessment is feasible (S1) with a range of 68-87, quite feasible (S2) with a range of 48-67, and not feasible (N) with a range of 27- 47. So that obtained the results of each station in the morning, stations I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII entered in quite decent categories (S2) and each station in the afternoon namely stations I, II, III, V , VI, VII, VIII also included in the category of quite feasible (S2) except on station IV it was in the category of not feasible (N) dry ponds due to low tide.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to know actual land suitability potential for Tea (Camellia Sinensis L. Kuntze) in Pasui Sub watershed, Saddang upstream watershed. The method of this research is random stratified sampling on 58 land units with take 9 samples. From the research summarizes suitability class are suit enough (S2) spread on 6 land units width it is 70,91 ha. Marginal suit (S3) spread on 47 land units width it is 13376,14 ha and not suit (N) spreads on 5 land units width it is 61,85 ha. Conclusions from above that potential to grow tea crop in Pasui sub watershed, Saddang upstream watershed are three class of suitability, Suit enough (S2), Marginal Suit (S3), and Not Suit (N). Most Heavy limiting factor are temperature, nutritions retention in case base saturation and erosion hazards in case slopes.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The results of the study show that the supporting factors in Lembah Hijau tourism objects are very supportive for further development, while the shortcomings that need to be considered and taken seriously so as not to hamper the development of the Green Valley. In addition, the strategies that need to be taken in the development of the Lembah Hijau tourism object are new innovations and cooperation in the three main elements, namely managers, government and society.

Abstract

ABSTRACT                This study aims to find out how changes in mangrove forest area and how the density of mangrove forests in Panikiang Island changes from 1998 to 2018. Analysis of changes used is the analysis of remote sensing images. The image used is satellite imagery LANDSAT 5 TM acquisition 1998 and LANDSAT OIL imagery acquisition in 2018. The guided classification method with the maximum like-lihood method is used to determine changes in mangrove forest area, while for non-guided classification using NDVI formula.                The results obtained in 1998 mangrove vegetation covering an area of 6.93 hectares experienced changes in land cover to non-vegetative mangrove and elsewhere on the island became 3.24 hectares of mangrove vegetation. Changes in the area of mangrove forests from 1998-2018 were 3.92 hectares. The density of the Pannikiang Island mangrove forest in 1998 with the class of meetings decreased by 34.56 hectares, the density class increased by 23.67 hectares and the density rarely increased by 7.2 hectares.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine : Contribution of turmeric powder industry business income to family income in Gunung Silanu Village. The population of this study as all the turmeric powder industry in Gunung Silanu Village which amout to 1 unit. The target in this study was 19 workers and an industrial owner of turmeric powder in Gunung Silanu Village. Data collection is done by using observation, interview, and documentation technique. The data is analyzed quantitatively – qualitatively. The result of this study indicate that : The contribution of the turmeric powder industry business income to the income of the workforce family is included in the medium category with a percentage of 21,76 percent, which proves that as much as 78,04 percent of the family income contribution to labor is obtained from outside the industrial business

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the feasibility of milkfish ponds in the village of Lakuan. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained directly from the field and the results of laboratory analysis while secondary data is data obtained from the Meteorology and Climatology Agency of Sultan Bantilan, Toli-Toli Regency. The method used in this study was purposive sampling. Based on the 6 sampling points determined based on the size and distance of the pond from the sea, the results obtained were temperatures ranging from 29,8 – 31,5ºC, dissolved oxygen ranged from 4 to 9,3 mg/l, the pH of the water ranged from 7,1 to 15, salinity ranges from 15,2 - 25 ppt, brightness ranges from 55,5% - 73%, ammonia ranges from 0,003 – 0,010 mg/l, phosphate from undetectable up to 0,018 ppt, soil texture between sandy clay - clay, soil pH ranges from 4,2 – 5,4, organic matter ranges from 3,78 – 4,78%, slope of 2%, mangroves are completely absent, seed availability is lacking, tides are 2,44 m, rainfall 1989,4 mm/year, the dry month amounts to 2 months, the river border is ± 1,000 m, the construction of the pond is in good condition and quite good, the depth ranges from 43 – 78,5 cm and the accessibility is sufficient. After analyzing the data using scoring, the results of this study indicate that the condition of milkfish ponds is in two categories, which are feasible and less feasible.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to find out and analyze changes in land area of settlement, land use and settlements turns into a factor that affected it. The method used is the analysis of remote sensing and descriptive analysis. The results showed that extensive settlements in 1993 was 307.03 Ha and in 2018 is 1653.34 Ha. Then it can be inferred the vast increase of land due to land use change shrub, open land, moor/fields, ricefield, and the body of water into the neighborhoods with the factors that affect that is the high rate of population growth amounted to 5.74 percent and affordable land prices as well as the completeness of the infrastructure in Somba Opu.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to: to determine the physical properties of soil and the chemical properties of soil after extracting bricks to be made into rice fields. The variables used in this study are soil texture, Ph tanh, soil drainage class, effective soil depth, soil CEC, air temperature, rainfall and slope. Sampling in this study using Matching techniques. The results showed that the Gentungang Village can be divided into five (5) land units. Based on these land units, the land suitability for paddy fields is obtained according to the marginal class. Land suitability class for paddy fields in Gentungang Village especially in the sampling area is obtained by two land suitability classes namely S3-nr4 and S3-rc2nr4. Each land suitability class can be repaired according to the heaviest limiting factor, phosphate content, except soil texture cannot be done repair. Soil characteristics in the Gentungang Village are divided into two (2) namely physical and chemical properties. The physical properties include the drainage class is rather slow, the soil texture is moderate to slightly smooth, and the soil depth is> 50 cm. Meanwhile, chemical properties include CEC (> 16 and ≤ 16), pH H2O (6-7), Nitrogen content (low-medium) and Phosphate content (low-very low).
