Abstract

The high intensity of erosions at the rivers upstream which are rivermouthed into the Segara Anakan Lagoon, as sources of the materials which are causing the sedimentation on the lagoon systematically. Based on smear slide analyses and major element contents, source of the sediment which is deposited in the lagoon floor, was predicted as the volcanic products. This condition is supported by the existence of non biogenic materials such as quartz, mica, ferro-oxides, manganese oxides and tuff in the lagoon. Beside that, the existence of major elements such as SiO2 (36,6 – 51,4%) Al2O3 (13,38 – 24,70%), and Fe2O3 (8,69 – 30,6%), is particular element indicators of volcanic products. The lithology in the survey area are volcanic products such as Jampang Formation and Panutuan Formation. Jampang Formation consist of volcano breccia, tuff intercalated with lava and sandstone, claystone, napal intercalated with conglomerate. Panutuan Formation consist of sandstone, napal and tuff, Formation Members of Tuff Napalan, Panutuan Formation, which are spread on the basinal area of Citanduy, Cibeureum, and Ciseel rivers which are rivermouthed into Segara Anakan Lagoon. Key words : smear slide, major element, Segara Anakan. Abstract

Limestone outcrops of the Tacipi area is an ideal carbonate platform part of Neogene East and West Sengkang Basin that are located in the south part of Sulawesi, precisely in western of Bone city. The limestones of this area, outcropping mainly on the north-south oriented hills such as Temapole, Anadara, Tamping, Lappa, etc., are the best reef example in the Tacipi area, as the reef itself, its debris and detritus can be distinguished in the field. Throughout the ridges and pinnacle in Tacipi field the limestones are predominantly homogenous boundstones on the top and detrital bioclastic packstones with local grainstones, and wackestones at the bottom. There are four major reef zonation indentified pacth reef, barrier reef, fore reef and lagoon. The extensive freshwater leaching of fossil fragments and calcareous cement give the preservation of biomouldic and vug pore spaces.

Abstract

Environmental study of the Tögi Ndrawa Cave by means of pollen analysis has been carried out. The interpretation is made based on the occurring pollen types as guide, the resulted pollen spectra, and curves exhibited in the pollen diagram. Combined evidences obtained from the palynological, geological and archaeologi cal studies provide the basis for the interpretation of plant ecology of shore and further the vegetational history of the marine area. In the meantime, plant ecology itself is concerned not only with plant communities but also the interaction among the plants involved, and their environmental factors. Keyword: Environmental, Pollen Analysis, Tögi Ndrawa Cave Studi lingkungan GuaTögi Ndrawa, Pulau Nias, telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis polen. Abstract

Core drilling had been carried out in three locations such as in Brondong Village (BH-01), Pasekan Village (BH-02), and Karangsong Village (BH-03). Those three cores are similar in lithology consist of clay. They are correlated based on fragment content, such as fine sand lenses, mollusk shells, rock and carbonate materials which discovered from different depths. Single side band of shallow seismic reflection recorded paleochannels in E sequence at the north and the west of investigated area. It’s predicted the north paleo channels were part of Lawas River or Tegar River, while the west paleo channels were part of Rambatan Lama River. Microfauna content of all those three cores indicated that from the depth of 0.00 meter down to 25,00 meters are Holocene/Recent, from 25,00 meters to the bottom are Pleistocene which were deposited in the bay to middle neritic environment. Key words: Core drilling, seismic interpretation, Cimanuk Delta Pemboran inti dilakukan di 3 (tiga) lokasi yaitu di Desa Brondong (BH-01), Desa Pasekan (BH- 02), dan Desa Karangsong (BH-03). Abstract

Biogenic gas within a deltaic deposition environment in the Kapuas rivermouth of West Kalimantan occurred in fine to very fine quartz sand reservoir of shallow boreholes of having the depth of 1-12 m below ground surface. This reservoir is covered by peaty layers of semi-impermeable property. During high tide, gas bubbling took place in the water column above the ground of these semi-impermeable layers. Utilizations of biogenic gas had been done succesfully. These works were carried out through drilling, piping, gas storage and installations for gas stove and gas electricity generator of 500 watt capacity at chief village house as an example before widely used to the local community. Keywords: Biogenic Gas; Deltaic Deposition Environment; Kapuas River; west Kalimantan, Utilization.
