Abstract

An impression can be interpreted as a psychological feeling toward a product and it plays an important role in decision making. Therefore, the understanding of the data in the domain of impressions will be very useful. This research had the objective of knowing the performance of K-Nearest Neighbors method to classify endek image impression using K-Fold Cross Validation method. The images were taken from 3 locations, namely CV. Artha Dharma, Agung Bali Collection, and Pengrajin Sri Rejeki. To get the image impression was done by consulting with an endek expert named Dr. D.A Tirta Ray, M.Si. The process of data mining was done by using K-Nearest Neighbors Method which was a classification method to a set of data based on learning data that had been classified previously and to classify new objects based on attributes and training samples. K-Fold Cross Validation testing obtained accuracy of 91% with K value in K-Nearest Neighbors of 3, 4, 7, 8.

Abstract

Number of Journals in Indonesia is quite a lot and various disciplines. Until March 15, 2018, registered 50,889 online and print ISSN by Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI). The government through Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Republic Indonesia (Kemenristekdikti) set regulated on journal index, that is Science and Technology Index (SINTA) assigned to rank quality content and management divided by six categories called S1 to S6 which of the data is taken from Google Scholar and Scopus. This research applies S1 that these journals are accredited “A” by Kemenristekdikti and or index by Scopus. That’s data is shown ranking by sorted based on h-index and citations. S1 shown that journal which has highest h-index uncertain have highest citations too, even some have zeroes. That’s data on S1 become strange and awkward when compared with S2 to S6 because some value of h-index and citations S1 is lower than S2 to S6. This research focus to find how strong correlation or impact h-index toward citations using linear regression. The test result shows that value of Multiple R = 0.78 indicates the correlative is very close, a value of R Square = 0.61 indicates the impact of h-index toward citations achieve 61% and the rest 39% affected by others factor.

Abstract

Manufacturing company is the company that produces household appliances based on plastic / plastic houseware, this company has applied information system but there is often problem in sales department that is when processing of data discount, data obtained wrong and not according to which have been determined. Therefore, the author is given the task to audit the information system on the company. The author uses the COBIT and Balance Scorecard framework, the COBIT domain used is the Plan and Organize (PO) and Acquire and Implement (AI), in the PO Domain the author uses PO4 sub-domains (Define the IT Processes, Organization and Relationships) Communications management aims and direction) and PO 9 (Assess and Manage IT risks) whereas in AI Domain used is AI4 (Enable Operation and Use), Balanced Scorecard Perspective used in this research is Internal Business Process, which focuses on business process assessment company and business goals have been in line with IT goals. The results from this research is still many deficiencies that exist in company especially at risk management of IT proven and IT risk management that have not managed maximally so that can be developed in the future.

Abstract

This paper analyzes some research results related to patient telemonitoring system. The main objective is to collect many useful information for telemonitoring implementation and its development in the future. Telemonitoring system is focused on fall detection that generally occur prior to critical condition. There are 14 research results that discussed in this paper which have been published from 2013 to 2017. Those researches are grouped into three types i.e. intrusive, non-intrusive and mixed. Analysis is done on aspects of the comfort, complexity, cost, accuracy, and coverage. Furthermore, based on those information, a study of application feasibility is done for elderly patients in Indonesia. The result shows that the non-intrusive method using the camera or access point are the most appropriate system for the elderly fall detection.

Abstract

Electronic devices are supported by a switch that is used to turn the device on and off. Manually pressed switches with distances between remote switches to cause less efficiency in saving human time and manpower. This can be solved by building a system to control electronic devices automatically. The system uses human voice commands to turn on and off electronic devices. The command will be processed into text by the Google Voice Speech Recognition library. The Android app sends human commands that have been processed by Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller. Commands are obtained after the text and data in the database are processed using the Markov Model algorithm. Communication between Android smartphone and microcontroller will be designed through a WIFI network. This system is tested based on noise level with data accuracy level with noise 0-45 dB and obtained 65% result. Based on the test response time obtained that the noise level 0-45 dB obtained results of 5.41 seconds. Based on the test results from the scenario, it can be concluded that the lower the noise generated, the better the system will also respond to commands. From the test suitability get value X = 1, meaning that the system is suitability with error rate 0. In testing accuracy to view status function get value 0 with error level 0. Testing of Markov model algorithm yields the calculated 0.125 algorithms manually and code for each command

Abstract

The development of the era demands quality human resources. For that need to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to be ready to compete in the world of work. Vocational High School has many skills programs. Examples of skills programs in Vocational High School are Computer Network Engineering, Audio and Video Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building, Drawing Techniques, Motorcycle Engineering, Installation and Power Engineering, systems that can assist in the decision-making process of prospective students. The grouping system will be created using the Fuzzy C-Means method. Grouping majors using fuzzy c-means algorithm is expected to help prospective students choose majors from the many majors that exist. This is done so that prospective students do not experience difficulties in learning activities, can develop optimally and is expected to work in accordance with the expertise that has been owned, so that ultimately can improve the quality of output and outcome of vocational education. The results obtained in this study in the form of data grouped based on 3 clusters, so that prospective students can choose the majors in accordance with the selected cluster.

Abstract

This research compared the performance of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) inverter and multilevel inverter in terms of their output voltage and current total harmonic distortion (THD). The inverters were designed to have the output voltage of 220 V at 50 Hz. The input voltage for both inverters are 400 VDC. For PWM inverter, the PWM technique utilized was sinusoidal PWM (SPWM) and for multilevel converter, the number of voltage level is five with diode-clamped topology. The study included circuit implementation, analysis, and THD calculation, all of which were carried out through simulation using PSpice software. In controlling the SPWM inverter output, the adjusted parameters included amplitude modulation ratio, frequency modulation ratio, and filter components’ parameters. On the other hand, the firing angles of the switching components were designated as controlling parameters in multilevel inverter. From the study, it was found that the best THD values of the designed SPWM inverter are 4.2% (voltage) and 1.7% (current), while those of multilevel inverter are 27% and 11%, for voltage and current, respectively. Thus, it can be concluded that SPWM inverter is better than 5-level inverter for the application in solar panel due to its lower THD. In our study, 5-level inverter did not satisfy the THD requirement specified in IEEE 512-1992, i.e. 5%.
