Abstract

Technology has infiltrated human life in many ways. One of the most common technological developments is social media. Not only for the general public, but also the political world is inseparable from social media in this era. For political actors, social media is a platform to contain positive support. But with the ease of stemming positive images, it cannot be denied that social media can also be a boomerang that can damage their political image at any time. This paper focuses on discussing the Demokrat Party's political communication in shaping its political image, especially on social media platforms. By using a descriptive method, namely taking sources from other literature. In this paper, the use of social media by the Democratic Party will be presented. Furthermore, in terms of the political communication used, it can be concluded that social media also plays an important role as a campaign platform and in building the party's image.

Abstract

A large amount of public opinion and negative issues about The Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi in various conventional media and digital media has resulted in the rise of media crisis issues around him which are controversial in society. To mitigate this, The North Sumatra Province Communication and Information Service (Diskominfo Sumut) The institution that oversees regional public relationsis trying to continue to build and maintain a positive image of The Governor of North Sumatra. This study aims to explain The role of digital public relations, reveal The obstacles faced, and examine how content management is carried out by human practitioners of The North Sumatra Diskominfo. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with four informants from The North Sumatra Diskominfo. Data collection techniques were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was obtained from data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study prove that there is a digital public relations role for North Sumatra Diskominfo through media monitoring activities, podcast broadcasts, and live streaming on YouTube and Instagram accounts @infosumutku, as well as buzzers to fight haters. The obstacles experienced were in the form of The attitude and behavior of The Governor of North Sumatra who was firm and to The point so that they became targets for press bullying to be published as negative news. The use of digital media is also carried out on social media, Tiktok, to gain The support of The millennial generation and generation Z.

Abstract

The World Cup soccer event held in Qatar generated various responses from various audiences in Indonesia. This research aims to examine the direction of online media news framing in Indonesia related to the event by taking the subject at CNN Indonesia online media. The research method uses the analysis method of William A. Gamson's analysis method which includes various framing devices and reasoning devices to analyze the direction of CNN Indonesia's framing in covering the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. This paper is included in descriptive qualitative which is to find out CNN Indonesia's views factually and accurately. The object of research on the World Cup in Qatar took several news on CNN Indonesia within two months to be analyzed. The results showed that CNN Indonesia in reporting the 2022 World Cup has a perspective that is more inclined to use metaphors elements in framing devices to package interpretations of various events related to the 2022 World Cup and often uses elements of appeals to principles in reasoning devices.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyse how the political communication strategies of local parties towards the implementation of Aceh peace and the impact of political communication strategies of local parties in the implementation of Aceh peace. This research uses the theory of political communication strategies that are ethical, elegant and professionalThis research uses qualitative research methods. The research informants came from local political parties, representatives of Aceh Nanggroe Party, MoU Helsinki peace negotiators and Aceh peace activists who have information about the object of research with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the political communication strategy is through the control of legislative and executive seats by the local party Partai Aceh and Partai Nanggroe Aceh, aims to initiate both policies and regulations (Qanun) and to increase the bargaining value in communication and policy to the central government towards the Aceh government to realise the points of the Helsinki MoU, Secondly, the full control of the legislative and executive seats by the local party (Partai Aceh and Partai Nanggroe Aceh) and reunited in one command of the Free Aceh Movement, the management of the local government runs according to the expectations and ideals of the Helsinki MoU, in addition to giving birth to Qanuns and decisions that have a direct impact on the people of Aceh.

Abstract

The Korean drama film business is in high demand worldwide, particularly among women. This community enthusiasm will affect the tourism industry by increasing the number of international tourists visiting Korea and increasing the popularity and distribution of Korean-style technology, food, apparel, and other products. In the eyes of the world, the country's reputation is improving; they have succeeded in disseminating their identity through popular culture. This study seeks to determine how K-Drama, a product of South Korean popular culture, has contributed to the growth of the Korean Wave in Indonesia. The data were collected using a qualitative study approach to describe Korean pop culture's impact on Indonesian society's routines. In this study, the interpretivism research paradigm was utilized. Purposive sampling technique Purposeful sampling, often known as an assessment or expert sample, is a non-probability sample type. Given the substantial support from the government, the conclusion reached is that Korean pop culture has the potential to dominate global entertainment.

Abstract

Brands are widely recognised as a company's most valuable asset to consumers, which is why brands are important to consumers in their search for product differentiation and uniqueness, as well as in their decision making when choosing products and in increasing consumer confidence in those products. In this study there was a population of 114 respondents, but the researcher took a sample of 100 respondents. The results of this study explain and show that Holland Bakery has created a good brand image among the general public. Based on the results of the calculated and processed questionnaire, consumers choose Holland Bakery as their first choice when buying food products such as the products offered by Holland Bakery, especially bread.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing communication strategy of the Medan Tribune in the face of media business competition in the digital era. The theory used in this research is the 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) marketing communication strategy from Kotler combined with SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats). The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects in this study were the team involved in the marketing communication strategy of the Medan Tribune, namely eight informants. The results showed that the marketing strategy of Tribun Medan entering the digital era was carried out by producing news content made in print, online and social media-based multi-platforms as well as building an online news portal filled with fast, accurate, interesting, and different written and video reports to get public trust, then create a digital activity program and develop a Tribune Event Organizer.
