Abstract

West Bangka Regency is an area located in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, has unique and potential natural resources, and has a coastal ecosystem, namely mangroves. The condition of mangroves is still damaged due to their utilization and management that pays little attention to sustainability aspects. Mangrove rehabilitation carried out in Teluk Limau Village, West Bangka Regency as the main factor preventing abrasion and increasing the economy of coastal communities by planting along the coastline. The purpose of this study was to determine the survival rate and success rate of mangrove rehabilitation and to determine the environmental parameters that affect the survival rate of mangroves in Teluk Limau Village, West Bangka Regency. This research was conducted in July-September 2022 in the Mangrove Rehabilitation area of Teluk Limau Village, West Bangka Regency. Determination of the station using purposive sampling, while for the sampling technique using the transect method squared with a size of 10 m x 10 m. The results obtained are the survival rate of mangroves (Survival rate) ranging from 11.1 to 79.7%. The highest survival rate occurred at station 1 of 79% and the lowest at station 3 of 11.1%. The results obtained indicate a survival rate in the low category or failure in planting. Plant height growth increased by 0.86-1.79 cm/month and leaf growth increased by 1-2 leaves/month. Parameters that affect the survival rate of mangrove rehabilitation is the sand substrate.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism defined as tourism that takes full account of economic, social and environmental impacts, this is a factor that supports the use of local resources at Tuing Indah Beach, Mapur Village to make the future of tourism more viable and provide economic and social benefits for community. This research aims to analyze what internal and external factors can influence the development of facilities and infrastructure at Tuing Indah Beach and analyze development strategies based on SWOT analysis at Tuing Indah Beach. Thebeach infrastructure development strategy uses an aggressive strategy, while the beach infrastructure development strategy uses a turn around strategy. This is based on calculations from the analysis results which show that tourism facility development activities are at the coordinate point (0.2063 ; 0.3475), namely quadrant I with the prioritized development strategy being (SO) Strength Opportunity, namely development by utilizing existing strengths and optimizing existing opportunities. Meanwhile, the development of tourism infrastructure facilities is at the coordinate point (-0.2078 ; 0.2111), namely quadrant II with the prioritized development strategy being (WO) Weaknees Opportunity, namely development by minimizing weaknesses so that we can take advantage of existing opportunities.

Abstract

Batu Belubang Village is one of the villages in Central Bangka Regency that has marine resources, one of which is tofu clams (Meretrix meretrix) which have economic and ecological potential and economic value. Tofu shells are animals that belong to the bivalve class that have a smooth and shiny shell, have a color and pattern on the outside surface of the shell. The purpose of the study was to determine the density, distribution pattern and relationship of tofu clam density with environmental parameters in the Batu Belubang Area. The study was conducted from May to June 2023 using survey methods and purposive sampling. The results of the study showed the highest density of tofu clams (Meretrix meretrix) in the Lower zone as much as 709.88 ind/ha and the lowest Middle zone as much as 570.99 ind/ha. The distribution pattern of tofu shells in the Upper zone obtained station 1 (0.17) with a clustering pattern, station 2 (-0.38), station 3 (-0.23) and station 4 (-0.33) uniform patterns. For middle zone station 1 (0.13) and station 3 (0.09) with a clustering pattern. While station 2 (-023) and station 4 (-0.33) pattern uniform. While the lower zone of station 1 (0.11) and station 2 (0.45) clustered patterns. For station 3 (-0.63) and station 4 (-0.23) the pattern is uniform. Based on the results of the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) test, salinity parameters that affect the density of tofu shells.
