Abstract

The mining industry in Indonesia plays an important role as the source of state income and the part of industrial progress of a nation. The majority of mining industry in Indonesia is an open pit., including clay mine that mined by United Tractors Semen Gresik Ltd in Temandang Village, Tuban. An open pit is a mining method that is directly exposed to the free air because it is above the earth’s surface. Therefore, weather factor greatly affects the productivity of the open pit apart from the factors of work effectiveness and material hardness. The result of the study showed that Temandang area has rainfall 135 mm/month. The average of the small production was 76.000 tons per month, so it becomes the researcher’s attention to analyze how great the rainfall influenced the production decrease. To achieve the production capacity target, an analysis by using linear regression equation, in which equation formula of the best statistical test result is as follow : Log P = 0,5025 x [ log {(Pr x JK)1,99 x (CH)-0,001}] + 0,0013. The calculation result by the mathematical model equation above showed that the effect of rainfall on production decrease was very small. Thus, the working hour and productivity greatly affected the production. So, if the production needs to be increased, then the working hour must be increased

Abstract

Location of research situated in the village Karangdawa, district Margasari, Tegal Regency, Central Java. The location of the research is the exploration Licences PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk., with commodities limestone. This research is aimed at mengetahuikualitas, batugampingserta reserves and resources geotechnical model based on the geological model. Geotechnical models also determined based on the model of rockmass used slope stability analysis as a model to design the mine pit. The methods used in this research include field work in the form of observation of outcrops of rocks and develop the sample, as well as laboratory analysis in the form of analysis of petrographic analysis and XRF using the sample surface, analysis of physical and mechanical properties of the rock mass classification, as well as rocks based on Geological Strenght Index (GSI) uses a secondary data in the form of core data drilling. Analysis of the stability of slopes in this study using the method of limit equilibrium (limit equilibrium method). Interpretation and correlation of data indicating that the drilling core location stratigraphic research is composed by three units of rock: limestone, batulempung, as well as sandstones. XRF analysis results and modeling geology suggests the quality of limestone meet cement raw material standards as to the amount of 13,180,000 tons of limestone resources. The geometry of the slope resulting from the analysis of the stability of slopes of which are: single slope height of 10 meters, the angle of slope of a single 80-degree slope, the slope of the overall 48 degrees, 50 degrees, 60 degrees, 54 degrees, the wide level of 8.31 meters. Limestone reserves estimation is determined only on the basis of consideration of the mine pit design and ultimate pit limit which is limited by the territory of IUP. Backup tertambang (mineable reserve) limestone amounted to 7,477,000 tonnes.

Abstract

Water pollution is a thing that can affect the environment, especially on health and hygiene environment around. Sub Keluang Regency Musi Betung South Sumatra known to have oil drilling wells of the Earth where illegal do not fit a common standardization is done, so worried about polluted areas the surroundings. This research aims to study and know the impact of environmental pollution due to the illegal drilling by local people, as well as provide information research results to the Government and the police to cooperate in enforcing laws that have set. To find out which level contamination using a research method that is mapping rivers and wells include deskipsi the physical characteristics, such as water color, flavor, odor, retrieval example of a sample for the analysis of physical-chemical content of the water, and the projection of the level of public health. The result of the physical identification of the water as much as 8 samples were declared contaminated. Sampling see the provisions on physical changes on either the river or the well, the results of the analysis of physical-chemical water, found many chemical compounds which exceed standard pH obtained ranged from 6.25- 8.16 and types of groundwater salt (31-464 mg/L TDS), increase the value of pH and TDS is assumed to be due to saltwater waste results from drilling for petroleum is illegal, and the presence of chemical compounds, either the main or excessive accessories in water then it can affect health, which that is evidenced by the results of the projection of the level of public health from the years 2016 to now that continues to decline. referring to the decision of the Minister of State for the environment number: 115 the year 2003 on guidelines for the determination of the Status of Water quality by the State Minister for the environment using STORET method with a score of 16 (polluted medium).

Abstract

Ngawi regency has large potential of mining resources. However, there is no detailed data in mining arearegulation to optimalization of mining resources in Ngawi Regency. This research focus to identify miningresources in Ngawi Regency and making mining zonation used GIS aplication. Ngawi Regency Mining zonationmake with weighting and scoring in mining parameters than processing with overlay method. Based on thisresearch, Ngawi has 6 potential distribution mining resources, tehre is : Clay, Andesite, Limestone, Hard Soil,Sandstone, and Breccia. In Mining Parameters Ngawi Regency have 9 Parameters. Ngawi regency miningzonation can be divided into can be permitted to mined in 197 location, can be permitted to mined with certaincondition in 91 location , and can’t be permitted to mined in 254 location.

Abstract

This research about water quality testing on unconventional mining land in Merawang District,Bangka Regency to be used as a water source for fulfilling daily needs for the surroundingcommunity.Sampling is done by purposive sampling by taking into account the considerationof the condition and state of the landscape from the research area. The sample points weretaken as many as 2 samples with different conditions where sample 1 was obtained from thewater under the results of the dominant tin mine tailings in the form of sandstone and claystones and sample 2 from the water under the results of tin mine tailings in the form of kaolin. The taking distance from the two samples is close to about 5 Km. From the results of fielddata collection and laboratory analysis, the pH value in sample 1 was 5.71 and sample 2 was5.57, TSS had a value in sample 1 of 7 mg / L and sample 2 of 8 mg / L, while the TDS valuein sample 1 was 92 mg / L and sample 2 was 8 mg / L. Whereas from laboratory analysis ofdissolved metals obtained values in sample-1 and sample-2 in the form of copper (Cu) havethe same value of 0.0153 and lead (Zn) 0.0531 while sample-2 value of lead dissolved metal(Zn) is 0, 0977. From the chemical and physical parameters and analysis of dissolved metalsif based on the Minister of Health Regulation No. 416 ,1990 about Water QualityRequirements and Supervision and Government Regulation No. 82, 2001 aboutManagement of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control is still classified under the qualitybook and is determined by the value of the Pollution Index based (IPj) on the Decree of theMinister of Environment Number 115,2003 about Guidelines for Determining the Status ofWater Quality. This method is used to determine the level of pollution relative to permittedwater quality parameters. The results obtained indicate that the water quality in the twosamples is categorized as inappropriate (light polluted) as a drinking water qualityrequirement because it has a pollution index value for designation (IPj ) sample-1 was 2.15and sample-2 was 1.86.

Abstract

Tailing deposits at the ex-tin mining area in Bangka and Belitung Island has a large number of economical residual minerals. This study is to identify tailing characteristic and its potential mineralogy and elements based on shallow hand boring (Auger) samples, along streamline in the west part of Sambung Giri Hill. Every coordinate sample plotted on the base map. Laboratory analysis using Stereo Microscope for identifying mineral characteristics, and geochemical analysis using XRF for identification of the presence of elements. The tailing deposits has laterally grain size gradation to downstream, composed above 94% sand fraction, and a small amount of shale and granule fraction. Quartz mineral presence more than 90%, followed by iron oxide (hematite), clay, zircon, cassiterite, ilmenite, monazite and tourmaline minerals, showed low consistency in lateral spatial except quartz, with its Rare Earth Elementh (REE) composition is Cerium (Ce), Lanthanum (La), Yttrium (Y), Neodymium (Nd) and Samarium (Sm).
