Abstract

PT. IMK is located in Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan Province, which is engaged in gold and silver mining with an area of 47.940 hectares contract. The purpose of this study is to assess the reclamation activities that have been done in the Serujan Pit. The implementation of reclamation in PT. IMK begins with the stage based on the decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number : 1827 K/30/MEM/2018 on the guidelines of good mining engineering regulations. The parameters used in assessing the success of reclamation are land utilization, revegetation, and finishing. The results of the success criteria derive the score value and the weights used as the basis of the assessment. Based on the results of the reclamation assessment obtained by the total value of 93.33%, with a good category (reclamation results are acceptable).

Abstract

Coal mining by PT. Tambang Bukit Tambi uses an open pit mining system where one of the factors that can affect mining is water that entering the mining area, so water control must be carried out, one of the ways is by using mine dewatering system. The purpose of this study is 1) To know the debit of water entering the mining area. 2) To design a pumping plan 3) To create an ideal sump design for handling water that entering the mining area. Based on the research, the daily discharge is 32,243.36 m3 / day where the water discharge that can be released by 2 Kenflo XA 125 / 40B pumps is 640 m3 / hour in 50.38 hours and the water control effort is made a sump that must accommodate water amounting to 19,427.26 m3 and after the calculation is obtained a trapezoid-shaped sump design with size length and surface width of 63.7 m, length and width of the base of the sum of 60.9 m and depth of 5 meters.

Abstract

The main effect of hauling using dump trucks are effected by haul road, machine condition, and weather. The purpose of this research to analyze the connection between CBR, rolling resistance and soils bearing capacity with dump truck velocity use linear regression methods by mathematical model approach. Dump truck velocity as dependent variable (Y). CBR, rolling resistance and soils bearing capacity as the independent variable (X). Based on this research, rolling resistance has a negative effect to dump truck velocity. Dump truck velocity decrease 0,13 – 0,14 km/h by 10 lbs increase of rolling resistance. CBR dan soils bearing capacity have a positive effect to dump truck velocity. Increase 5 % of CBR and 0,34 kg/cm2 soils bearing capacity can increase dump truck velocity 0,48 – 0,66 km/h. To increase dump truck velocity, the minimum CBR value on the haul road is 15 % and soils bearing capacity 6,79 kg/cm2 with a maximum rolling resistance value of 40 lbs.

Abstract

Difficult access to the field in Central Sulawesi causes the process of identifying prospects for mining minerals requires a relatively large time and cost. Therefore, the remote sensing approach can be carried out as a preliminary study to determine the distribution of hydrothermal alterations that characterize the presence of mine minerals. This study utilizes Landsat 8 imagery to obtain the distribution of alteration minerals, especially the group of ferrous mineral oxide and hydroxide minerals, clay and carbonate minerals and Ferromagnesian minerals. The method used is composite (RGB) 4/2, 6/7, 5 and 4/2, 6/7, 10 to detect the distribution of alteration minerals. Whereas the Density Slicing method uses 4/2, 5/6 and 6/7 ratio images to detect Ferrugitation, Ferromagnesian, clay and carbonate minerals. The results of the analysis showed the distribution of iron oxide and hydroxide minerals (Ferrugination) dominated the area in alluvium and opiolite rocks. This alteration distribution is interpreted as a prospect of further studies of the presence of mining minerals such as nickel and iron. Whereas ferromagnesian minerals, clays and carbonates dominate in conglomerate and limestone rocks.

Abstract

Open pit mining will create a change in the environment and leave a former mine (void). A void that is left at the end of mining activities without any utilization planning could potentially cause an unwanted impact on the environment. The final hue of the mines in this study is limited to land allocation, and surface water quality. The research aims to assess the use of a former mine (void) for sustainable development. The results of this research show that the former mine (void) could potentially contribute to sustainable development. The community empowerment Program around the mine in utilizing the former mine holes is crucial for the continuity of the local economic drive. The quality of mine wastewater released to water or river bodies and the quality of surface water in a former mine (void) becomes a representation of the danger of the use of water for human health.

Abstract

Unconventional mining is still the choice of the people of Bangka Island. One of the locations on the Bangka islands that still conduct tin mining activities on a small scale or community scale is Sambung Giri Hill, Merawang District, Bangka Regency. Based on understanding distribution patterns of the mineral will provide a general description that can prevent and minimize damage caused by mining activities. Interpolation of Tin (Sn), zircon (Zn) and hematite (Fe2O3) using anisotropic semivariogram in the Ordinary Kriging method uses the distribution pattern of each of these minerals. In this method uses the best anisotropic semivariogram model of each mineral. Models that are more suitable for hematite and zircon minerals are exponential, whereas tin uses the Gaussian model. Based on the results of the Ordinary Kriging method, the mineral distribution pattern was obtained in accordance with the east direction around the Sambung Giri Hill. The estimated pattern of mineral distribution, provides a general description that can minimize environmental damage due to mining activities in Sambung Giri Hill.
