Abstract

Environmental Dramaturgical Practice for Ecotourism Profiling Based on Drone Technology in Bleberan Hamlet, Kulonprogo Regency, Yogyakarta Special RegionThis article examines ecological dramaturgical practice through drone-based performative mapping within the context of ecotourism and communitybased cultural performance. Responding to conditions of twenty-firstcentury media abundance, dramaturgy is reconceptualised from a predominantly analytical framework into an expanded, practice-based methodology operating across ecological, spatial, and digital domains. This study positions drone technology not merely as a visual documentation tool, but as an intermedial dramaturgical agent that actively shapes relationships between bodies, landscapes, technologies, and communities. Drawing on a case study in Padukuhan Bleberan, Kulon Progo, the research demonstrates how ecotourism functions as a performative practice that integrates ecological landscapes, ritual spaces, cultural memory, and local creative economies into a digital mapping system. Drone-based visual profiling produces performative archives that extend cultural practices beyond live events, enhancing visibility, accessibility, and sustainability. Methodologically, the study combines dramaturgical practice, ecological performance perspectives, and digital media analysis, supported by field observation, interviews, and collaborative evaluation with the local community. This approach contributes to contemporary discussions on ecodramaturgy, intermedial performance, and community-based spatial practice. Keywords: dramaturgical practice; ecological dramaturgy; performative mapping; drone technology; ecotourismKata kunci: ekowisata; teknologi drone; model profil; dukuh Bleberan.

Abstract

This research seeks to examine the bâjâng kertè art form from various aspects, including its history and developmental dynamics, form and function, transmission and regeneration, as well as performance modes and survival strategies. The study employs a qualitative research approach, utilizing ethnographic methods. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews, and literature review. The data were then interpreted by employing a multidisciplinary perspective, including history and performing arts. The findings reveal that bâjâng kertè is an intangible cultural heritage of significant value to the community of Situbondo. It was created by a skilled Madurese puppeteer named Kertisuwignyo, who later migrated and settled in Situbondo. Bâjâng kertè flourished in Situbondo during the 1970s to the 1990s. It was performed in various contexts such as parlo, rokat panhâbâ, rokat tasè’, rokat bhumi, salamettan, and other events. Its performance structure consists of several parts, including dhing-ghendhingan, tèmangan, tari srimpi, and maen carèta. This art form serves multiple functions within the community, including educational, entertainment, spiritual, and economic purposes. The knowledge and skills related to bâjâng kertè are culturally transmitted by its artists through two pathways: informal learning (cantrik) and group training. Various challenges and problems faced by bâjâng kertè artists have ultimately sparked new innovations. These include the emergence of new performance modes such as topeng rokatan, topeng can-macanan, topeng lawak, and the incorporation of bâjâng kertè content in audiovisual recordings.

Abstract

The Impact of Covid-19 Pandemic Toward Film Festival; Case Study on Jogja Student Film Festival 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic poses a big challenge for the sustainability of film festivals as a space for the distribution and appreciation of student works in Indonesia. The Jogja Student Film Festival (FFPJ), which has been taking place since 2010, faced an extraordinary situation in 2020 when the organization had to transform from an offline format to an online format. This study aims to describe the adaptation process of FFPJ management throughout the pandemic and identify the driving factors for these changes. A qualitative descriptive approach is used with data collection techniques in the form of documentation, structured observations, and interviews with founders, judges, volunteers, and festival participants. The validity of the data is maintained through source triangulation while the analysis is carried out using the management function theory framework (POAC). The results of the study show that strategic adaptation and the use of digital technology allow the sustainability of the festival without permanent sponsors, while still prioritizing aspects of critical literacy and appreciation space for young filmmakers. FFPJ organizers and communities have shown the ability to maintain the existence and regeneration of the student film community even in crisis conditions. Keywords: Student's Film Festival, Covid-19 Pandemic, Existence
