Abstract

Abstrak: Minyak jelantah atau used cooking oil (UCO) merupakan salah satu limbah rumah tangga yang hampir selalu dihasilkan setiap hari, yang apabila dikonsumsi terus–menerus dapat membahayakan tubuh dan memicu berbagai penyakit. Permasalahan jelantah juga terjadi pada rumah tangga ibu–ibu di Kecamatan Turi, Sleman. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan limbah minyak jelantah menjadi berbagai barang yang lebih bermanfaat, dengan mitra sasaran Ibu–ibu anggota Pimpinan Ranting ‘Aisyiyah (PRA) Donokerto I, Turi berjumlah 30 orang. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilakukan dengan beberapa metode yaitu sosialisasi, penyuluhan, demo dan pelatihan, praktik serta pendampingan. Evaluasi dilakukan selama dan paska kegiatan dengan pre–test dan post–test, serta penilaian terhadap produk yang dihasilkan. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Ibu–ibu ‘Aisyiyah dalam mengelola minyak jelantah menjadi barang yang lebih bermanfaat. Tingkat partisipasi peserta dalam berbagai kegiatan mencapai 90%, pengetahuan Ibu–ibu ‘Aisyiyah tentang bahaya penggunaan minyak jelantah meningkat dari 67 menjadi 83, dan sebagian besar peserta (90%) menyatakan akan merubah pola pengelolaan minyak jelantah dari yang sebelumnya hanya dibuang akan diolah menjadi lilin jelantik dan sabun cuci tangan. Untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan program tetap perlu dilakukan pembinaan dan pendampingan yang berkelanjutan terutama oleh Ketua PRA dan Majelis Ekonomi.Abstract: Used cooking oil (UCO) is a household waste almost always produced daily. If consumed continuously, it can harm the body and trigger various diseases. The problem of waste cooking also occurs in women's households in Turi District, Sleman. This community service aims to increase knowledge and skills in utilizing used cooking oil waste to create various more useful goods, with the target partners being 30 members of the Branch Board of the 'Aisyiyah (PRA) Donokerto I, Turi. Community service uses several methods: socialization, counseling, demonstrations, training, practice, and mentoring. Evaluation is carried out during and after the activity with a pre–test and post–test and an assessment of the products. The results of community service were that they could increase the knowledge and skills of ‘Aisyiyah members in managing used cooking oil and making it more useful. The level of participant participation in various activities reached 90%, the knowledge of 'Aisyiyah members about the dangers of using used cooking oil increased from 67 to 83 (100 scale), and the majority of participants (90%) stated that they would change the pattern of managing used cooking oil from previously just throwing it away to processing it into aromatherapy candles and hand washing soap.

Abstract

Abstrak: Stunting atau pertumbuhan fisik yang terhambat pada anak yang bersifat irreversible, menjadi isu kesehatan yang serius di sejumlah negara berkembang, termasuk di dalamnya Indonesia. Untuk mengurangi prevalensi stunting, diperlukan upaya pencegahan melalui kegiatan yang intensif. Kegiatan tersebut bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan sasaran terkait stunting pada anak. Pengabdian dilakukan oleh mahasiswa tim KKN Desa Tegaldlimo dengan metode sosialisasi tentang stunting melalui media power point dan sesi tanya jawab. Peserta kegiatan sosialisasi adalah 66 dari 75 peserta yang telah diundang terdiri dari ibu yang memiliki balita, ibu yang sedang hamil, dan kader kesehatan. Evaluasi kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa semua indikator keberhasilan telah terpenuhi, dengan kehadiran peserta mencapai ≥75% dari total undangan yang disebarkan, serta peningkatan pengetahuan peserta berdasarkan hasil pre-test (49%) dan post-test (65,3%) yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya.Abstract: Stunting or stunted physical growth in children that is irreversible, has become a serious health issue in a number of developing countries, including Indonesia. To reduce the prevalence of stunting, prevention efforts through intensive activities are needed. The activity aims to increase understanding and knowledge of targets related to stunting in children. The service was carried out by students of the Tegaldlimo Village KKN team with socialization methods about stunting through power point media and question and answer sessions. The participants of the socialization activity were 66 out of 75 participants who had been invited consisting of mothers who had toddlers, mothers who were pregnant, and health cadres. The evaluation of this activity shows that all success indicators have been met, with the attendance of participants reaching ≥75% of the total invitations distributed, as well as increasing participants' knowledge based on the results of the pre-test (49%) and post-test (65.3%) that have been carried out previously.

Abstract

Abstrak: Dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, setiap perpustakaan dituntut untuk berbenah diri guna mengikuti perkembangan tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem pengelolaan perpustakaan terkini dan terintegrasi antara satu perpustakaan dengan perpustakaan lainnya di lingkungan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Mulawarman (Fisip Unmul) agar perpustakaan-perpustakaannya tidak ketinggalan jaman. Untuk merealisasikannya, metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui pendampingan, workshop-training, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Mitra dari kegiatan ini berjumlah 9 orang, yang terdiri dari dua orang teknisi/admin website Fakultas, tiga orang operator perpustakaan Fakultas, dua orang operator perpustakaan program Magister Administrasi Publik (MAP), dan dua orang operator perpustakaan program S1 Pemerintahan Integratif (PIN). Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah telah terbangunnya sistem perpustakaan terkini dimana tiga perpustakaan dimaksud telah berhasil diintegrasikan dan telah berfungsi/beroperasi secara penuh (realisasi 100%), sehingga banyak kemajuan yang telah dicapai dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan dengan sistem baru dibandingkan dengan yang lama dalam hal efisiensi kerja, jumlah koleksi digital dan sistem pengaksesannya, serta sinergitas antar perpustakaan. Disamping itu, skills dari mitra dalam membangun perpustakaan terintegrasi mengalami peningkatan rata-rata 77,22% dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini.Abstract: With the rapid development of information and communication technology, any library is required to revitalize itself to keep up with such development. This service activity aims at building an advanced and integrated library system between one library and another within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Mulawarman University (Fisip Unmul) so that the existing libraries are not outdated. The methods used to implement it are through mentoring, workshop-training, as well as monitoring and evaluation. There are 9 partners for this activity, consisting of two Faculty website admins/technicians, three Faculty library operators, two library operators for the Master of Public Administration (MAP) program, and two library operators for the undergraduate study program of Integrative Government (PIN). The result of this activity is that the latest library system has been developed where the three libraries in question have been successfully integrated and are fully functioning/operating (100% realization), so that much progress has been achieved in library management with the new system compared to the old one in terms of work efficiency, the number of digital collections and their access systems, as well as synergy between libraries. Apart from that, the skills of partners in building integrated libraries increased by an average of 77.22% in implementing this activity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kebutuhan akan penilaian berbasis digital akhir-akhir ini melatarbelakangi kegiatan pelatihan ini. Pelatihan ini terutama ditujukan untuk mendampingi para guru-guru SMA Islam Nusantara dari semua mata pelajaran untuk membuat asesmen digital menggunakan aplikasi Quiz-maker I-Spring. Dalam pelatihan ini, metode yang dipakai adalah pelatihan. Dalam pelatihan ini pengabdi bermitra dengan SMA Islam Nusantara, tempat pengabdian ini berlangsung, dengan partisipan sebanyak 13 guru. Dalam proses pengumpulan data sekaligus evaluasi dari pelatihan yang dilaksanakan, kami membagikan kuesioner kepada peserta sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Di samping itu, kami juga mengumpulkan data berupa observasi dari kegiatan yang sedang berlangsung dalam bentuk data lapangan. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari analisis data yang terkumpul menunjukkan bahwa peserta sangat antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan yang dinilai sangat bermanfaat untuk menyiapkan guru-guru menghadapi era digital. Di akhir pelatihan, dari hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru-guru dalam membuat asesmen digital dengan aplikasi Quiz-maker I Spring mengalami peningkatan. Selain untuk guru, pelatihan ini dinilai juga sangat bermanfaat untuk siswa di kemudian hari.Abstract: The recent need for digital-based assessments has prompted the initiation of this training program. This training primarily aims to assist the teachers of SMA Islam Nusantara in creating digital assessments using the Quiz-maker I-Spring application. The method employed is hands-on, taking place in SMA Islam Nusantara, involving fifteen teachers from across subjects. In the process of data collection and evaluation during the training, we distributed questionnaires to participants both before and after the training sessions. Additionally, we gathered observational data from the ongoing activities. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results of the data analysis indicate that participants were highly enthusiastic about the training, considering that it’s very beneficial in preparing teachers to face the digital era. At the end of the training, observations showed that the ability of teachers to make digital assessments with the Quiz-maker I Spring application experienced an improvement. Moreover, the training was deemed highly valuable not only for teachers but also for students in the future.

Abstract

Abstract: One of the most crucial phases of cattle farming is the supply of high-quality animal feed, which can enhance productivity and animal health. Animal feed is often a problem in West Kalimantan. However, this area is an oil palm plantation, so it has the potential to produce oil palm waste. This community service activity aims to increase knowledge and practice community skills in oil palm plantations in utilizing palm oil waste in cattle feed. The community service applied a socialization and training methods to make high-quality fermented animal feed using palm oil waste, namely leaves and fronds. Participants in this program included the village chief and the village's livestock owners, a total of 30 people. The farmers benefited from the results of this training and socialization. The villagers can use palm leaves and fronds to make fermented animal feed. This adds insight into how to improve livestock productivity and health. In addition, this activity also has the potential to reduce the amount of palm oil waste generated, in addition to increasing the economic value of the waste. The results of the feed processing technology service activities after socialization and training were carried out, there was an increase in participants' knowledge regarding understanding feed processing, post-test scores from 33% to 80% after the post-test, and post-test scores on feed processing practices from 40% to 80% after the post-test.

Abstract

Abstrak: Stroke merupakan salah satu penyakit yang berlangsung dalam kurun waktu yang lama, serta dapat mengakibatkan kematian. Selain itu, stroke juga dapat berperan dalam timbulnya masalah demensia dan depresi. Pada lansia sendiri risiko terjadinya serangan stroke dapat meningkat sebanyak dua kali lipat. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan gejala stroke dan kemampuan koping, sehingga tindakan yang tepat dapat segera diambil ketika stroke terjadi. Metode Pengabdian dengan metode sosialisasi dan pemeriksaan kesehatan. Peserta merupakan para lansia yang tergabung dalam komunitas dahlia senja berjumlah 43. Nilai rerata pretes pengetahuan 4.05, sikap 11.93, dan keterampilan 11.65 meningkat menjadi pengetahuan 4.3, sikap 12.07, keterampilan 12.79 pada postes. Hasil yang didapat adalah peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, serta keterampilan terkait perilaku pencegahan stroke pada lansia.Abstract: Stroke is one of the diseases that occurs over a long period and can lead to death. Additionally, stroke can also play a role in the onset of dementia and depression. In the elderly themselves, the risk of experiencing a stroke can double. The goal of community service is to increase awareness of stroke symptoms and coping abilities, so that appropriate action can be taken promptly when a stroke occurs. The community service method involves pre-testing, counseling, post-testing, and health examinations. Participants are elderly individuals belonging to the Dahlia Senja community, totaling 43. The average pre-test values for knowledge, attitude, and skills are 4.05, 11.93, and 11.65, respectively, which increased to 4.3, 12.07, and 12.79 in the post-test. The results indicate an improvement in knowledge, attitude, and skills related to stroke prevention behavior in the elderly.

Abstract

Abstrak: Salah satu kelebihan dari PLC Outseal adalah skema elektronik dari PLC Outseal dapat dilihat, dipelajari, dimodifikasi dan dibuat sendiri, selain itu software ini juga termasuk freeware, sehingga mudah digunakan oleh siapapun saja. Dengan memberikan informasi aplikasi pemrograman berbasis GUI yaitu OutSeal Studio untuk digunakan sebagai basis pemrograman Arduino untuk PLC, dalam hal ini mitra pengabdian yaitu SMK Muhammadiyah 1 KOTA TEGAL dengan jumlah peserta 18 orang jurusan teknik kelistrikan dapat memperoleh pemahaman yang baik tentang teknologi ini, dan bagaimana cara kerjanya. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penyampaian materi adalah pemaparan/ presentasi dan demonstrasi coding diagram tangga hingga proses download ke perangkat simulasi PLC Hardware. Tujuan kegiatan ini memperkenalkan Aplikasi pemrograman berbasis GUI untuk pemrograman Arduino untuk PLC yaitu teknik program menggunakan model diagram tangga. Tahapan PKM yaitu melakukan survey dan persiapan equipment yang diperlukan, kemudian pada tahap pelaksanaan berupa pemberian materi tentang Outseal Studio, yang diawali dengan pretest 10 soal, setelah pemaparan dan demonstrasi alat Outseal PLC kemudian diakhiri dengan post test 10 soal. Indikator keberhasilan dalam pelaksanaan PKM dilihat dari hasil post test, dimana ada peningkatan pemahaman perserta sebesar 58,75% dari hasil pretest sebelumnya.Abstract: One of the advantages of Outseal PLC is that the electronic scheme of Outseal PLC can be seen, studied, modified and made by yourself, besides that this software is also included as freeware, so it is easy to use by anyone. By providing information on GUI-based programming applications, namely OutSeal Studio, to be used as a basis for Arduino programming for PLCs, in this case the service partner, SMK Muhammadiyah 1 KOTA TEGAL with a total of 18 participants majoring in electrical engineering, can get a good understanding of this technology, and how it works. The method used in the delivery of material is exposure / presentation and demonstration of ladder diagram coding to the download process to the PLC Hardware simulation device. The purpose of this activity is to introduce GUI-based programming applications for Arduino programming for PLCs, namely programme techniques using the ladder diagram model. The PKM stages are conducting surveys and preparing the necessary equipment, then at the implementation stage in the form of providing material about Outseal Studio, which begins with a 10-question pretest, after exposure and demonstration of the Outseal PLC tool then ends with a 10-question post test. Indicators of success in the implementation of PKM are seen from the results of the post test, where there is an increase in participant understanding by 58.75% from the previous pretest results.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pelatihan pemilahan sampah menjadi salah satu cara untuk menuju gerakan zero waste, dengan pemberian pelatihan ini sejak usia dini dapat menumbuhkan kepekaan para siswa terhadap pentingnya menjaga lingkungan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan pemilahan sampah kepada siswa kelas 3 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah yang berjumlah 20 siswa di Sekolah Alam Gaharu sebagai mitra pada pengabdian masyarakat ini, dimana sekolah Alam Gaharu menerapkan konsep sekolah alam yang berarti pembelajaran berorientasi pada alam. Sesuai dengan visi sekolah yang dapat memberikan mafaat bagi masyarakat maka salah satunya yaitu dengan menerapkan sekolah zero waste dan sebagai langkah awal penerapan yaitu dengan pembelajaran pemilahan sampah. Pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui penyampaian materi, permainan, dan daur ulang sampah plastik. Pelatihan ini juga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan softskill yaitu meningkatkan kerjasama tim para siswa, serta melatih kreativitas para siswa dalam mendaur ulang sampah. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui survei terhadap guru dengan pertanyaan terkait manfaat, pemahaman siswa, penerapan 3R, dan dampak pelatihan. Hasil menunjukan bahwa 100% responden menyatakan pelatihan bermanfaat, siswa dapat memahami materi, dan mampu melakukan 3R. Pelatihan juga memberikan dampak signifikan dalam pembelajaran siswa.Abstract: Training on waste sorting is one of the ways to promote the zero-waste movement, and providing this training from an early age can cultivate awareness among students about the importance of environmental conservation. Community service in this regard aims to provide waste sorting training to 20 third-grade students at Gaharu Nature School as partners in this community service initiative. Gaharu Nature School adopts the concept of nature-based education, where learning is oriented towards nature. Aligned with the school's vision of benefiting the community, one of its initiatives is to implement a zero-waste school model, with waste sorting education being the initial step. The training is conducted through lectures, games, and plastic waste recycling activities. This initiative also enhances students' soft skills by fostering teamwork and nurturing creativity in waste recycling endeavors. Evaluation is carried out through surveys administered to teachers, focusing on the benefits, students' comprehension, implementation of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and the overall impact of the training. Results indicate that 100% of respondents affirm the beneficial nature of the training, stating that students grasp the material well and are capable of practicing the 3Rs. Moreover, the training has shown significant positive impacts on student learning.

Abstract

Abstrak: Gula merah berbahan baku nira lontar merupakan salah satu produk khas lahan kering kepualaun seperti di NTT, NTB dan Maluku bagian Selatan. Gula merah merupakan gula yang diproduksi dengan kearifan lokal yang diproduki oleh UMKM. Produk gula merah sangat potensial dikembangkan sebagai produk cindramata untuk menunjang aktivitas pariwisata. Diperlukan inovasi produk baik ukuran produk dan juga kemasan agar memenuhi selera konsumen pariwisata. Pada aspek produk, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan disain produk, kemasan dan brand produk. Sedangakn pada aspek SDM, kemampuan mitra dapat meningkat, khususnya dalam aspek inovasi produk, teknik produksi dan membangun citra produk. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan metoda ceramah, diskusi pemecahan masalah dan workshop. Mitra kegiatan adalah dua kelompok pelaku UMKM yang berlokasi di kawasan pariwisata Panati Lasiana, Kota Kupang. Jumlah Peserta yang mengikuti kegaitan ini sebanyak 20 orang. Evaluasi hasil pengembangan produk menggunakan panel test terhadap kelompok konsumen, sedangkan peningkatan skill peserta dilakukan penyebaran angket dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualtitaif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta telah mengalami peningkatan skill khususnya dalam memproduksi gula merah dengan disain yang lebih fungsional, penggunaan kemasan dan menjaga higienitas produk. Hasil analisis uji panel test menunjukkan bahwa konsumen respons positif terhadap produk yang dikembangkan, bahkan bersedia membeli dengan harga 30% lebih tinggi. 78,5% Peserta dapat memahami materi yang disampaikan, tetapi memiliki tingkat kesediaan menerapkan teknologi yang masih sedang (60,5%). Namun demikian, 85,5% responden akan menerapkan teknologi apabila mendapatkan insentif pendapatan.Abstract: Brown sugar is a typical product produced from archipelagic dry land agriculture, such as in NTT, NTB and southern Maluku. Brown sugar is produced with local wisdom and is produced by MSMEs. Brown sugar products have great potential to be developed as souvenir products to support tourism activities. Product innovation is needed in both product size and packaging to meet the tastes of tourism consumers. In the product aspect, this service activity aims to develop product design, packaging and product branding. Meanwhile, in the human resource aspect, partners' abilities can increase, especially in the aspects of product innovation, production techniques and building product image. Service activities are carried out using lecture methods, problem solving discussions and workshops. The activity partners are two groups of MSMEs located in the tourism destinations of the Panati Lasiana, Kupang City. The number of participants who took part in this activity was 20 people. Evaluation of product development results uses panel tests on consumer groups, while improving participants' skills is carried out by distributing questionnaires and explained qualitatively. The results of the activity showed that participants had improved their skills, especially in producing brown sugar with a more functional design, using packaging and maintaining product hygiene. The results of the panel test analysis show that consumers responded positively to the product being developed, and were even willing to buy at a 30% higher price. 78.5% of participants were able to understand the material presented, but had a moderate level of willingness to apply technology (60.5%). However, 85.5% of respondents will implement technology after receiving income incentives.

Abstract

Abstract: This community service project is a collaboration between the Faculty of Language and Arts, Jakarta State University, and the Cisaat Village Government, initiated by the English Literature Program in collaboration with the Visual Arts Education Program of the Faculty of Language and Arts, Jakarta State University. This community service project was conducted in Cilimus Village with the aim of enhancing participants' writing skills and their understanding of their own culture through a cultural knowledge strategy via creative writing training based on local wisdom, employing the technique of mind mapping. The subjects of this community service project were 17 students from Junior High School and Senior High School. The mind mapping technique was applied as a tool to organize ideas from Cilimus Village into creative writing pieces. The evaluation of the writing was carried out using a narrative writing rubric based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) W.7.3, assessing students' abilities in effective and comprehensive narrative writing. The evaluation results showed an increase in the number of participants who achieved a minimum score of 20 points, totaling 80% of all participants. The outcome of this community service project is creative writing by the young generation of Cilimus Village that reflects the cultural values and uniqueness of Cilimus Village, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Cilimus Village's cultural heritage.
