Abstract

Diseases are classified into different types based on the symptoms, causes, and disturbances they cause to the human body. Among the disease categories that have a wide range of sub-specialties and branches is internal medicine. Early disease detection is difficult because many diseases exhibit similar symptoms. To diagnose the disease, medical specialists will conduct a series of physical and laboratory tests. However, before going to the doctor, the patient should learn about the disease and begin treatment so that it does not worsen and become dangerous. As a result, we require a system that can assist patients in receiving information and detecting their disease early. An expert system was developed in this study to help people obtain complete and precise information about their disease. It is hoped that by using this system, people will be able to obtain preliminary information before visiting a doctor, thereby reducing the risk. An expert system is a type of artificial intelligence application that is a computer program designed on knowledge and rules that could act similarly to or as well as an expert. Expert systems must be able to function in the presence of uncertainty. A number of theories have been developed to deal with uncertainties, one of which is the certainty factor method, which is ideal for analyzing uncertain data. This technique provides a solution by calculating the values of certainty and uncertainty. This study concentrated on three types of internal medicine and 27 symptoms to be diagnosed; the end result was a diagnosis of the type of internal medicine encountered and the percentage of confidence, along with treatment recommendations.

Abstract

PT. Karya Tanah Subur (KTS) is a palm oil processing industry located on Jalan Gemmpang-Tutut, Padang Sikabu Village, Kawai XVI District, West Aceh District. Based on the results of observations and interviews conducted with the person in charge of the factory, it is known that there are potential hazards that occur during the production process. The potential hazards that occur cannot be separated from various risks in the work environment, as well as negligence and also non-compliance by workers in using PPE. The purpose of this research is to identify the potential hazards at the Loading Ramp, Sterilizer, and Thresher stations and then assess the risk level of these potential hazards and determine control measures for these risks. The method used in this research is Job Safety Analysis (JSA). The results of the analysis revealed that the potential hazards in the 3 areas studied were the Ramp Loading, Sterilizer, and Thresher stations. The potential hazards found in the Ramp Loading area were being pinned by the tailgate of the FFB transport truck, being crushed and punctured by FFB thorns, falling into a pile of FFB, being stabbed by a gancu. . Potential hazards at the Sterilizer Station include exposure to hot steam, electric shock, heat at the end of the lorry, being injured by capstand ropes and slipping due to slippery floors. The potential hazards at the Thresher station include being exposed to the heat of the lorry when it is unable to attach the rope that holds the crane, falling from the workplace, being crushed by fruit that has been boiled in heat. The highest potential hazards are at the Sterilizer station, where workers' hands are injured by capstand ropes and the slippery floor causes workers to slip, and at Thersher stations, where boiled fruit is crushed. Control efforts that can be proposed are to hold internal outreach to company workers which discuss risks in the workplace as well as discussions about occupational health and safety so that workers always use complete PPE in the workplace.

Abstract

Noise is one of the factors that can interfere with the welfare and comfort of employees' work. Too high noise can cause hearing loss, stress, and decreased concentration. Therefore, it is important to measure the noise level in the work environment and take the necessary measures to reduce the unsafe noise level. To measure the noise level at the machine room station PT. Socfindo Seunagan, the researcher used a noise measuring instrument that corresponds to the dar booth (sound Level Meter). This research was conducted at several points at the PT machine room station. Socfindo Seunagan, including near the main machines, around the production area, and in the employee's work area. The results showed that the noise level in the machine room station PT. Socfindo Seunagan exceeds the safe limits set by the Indonesian National standard. The highest noise level detected was 174 dB(A). Based on the results of this study, measures are needed to reduce the noise level at the PT. Socfindo Seunagan in order not to harm the welfare and comfort of work of employees. Possible actions include the use of ear protection, reduction of noise sources, and rearrangement of the layout of the engine room station.

Abstract

Double Base Propellants (DBP) has been frequently utilized in the fields of rocket propellant and gun propellant. DBP has various advantages over conventional propellants, including easy formulation, high energy, and smokelessness. The research conducted in literature studies was applied by referring to the various energetic materials for DBP. The composition of a DBP consists of energetic raw material of Nitrocellulose (NC) and Nitroglycerin (NG). According to data analysis, NC can be manufactured from the raw material Nata de Coco, which has a nitrogen content of more than 12,5% in NC, which is in line with the levels of conventional military and propellant raw materials. Meanwhile, SMX (1,4-dinitrate-2,3-dinitro-2,3bis (nitratomethylene) butane) or GAP (Glycidyl Azide Polymer) on double-base propellants is suggested as potential alternative energy sources that can be utilized to substitute NG. The choice of new energetic material is influenced by the fact that Nata de Coco is abundant in Indonesia, while SMX and GAP in terms of manufacturing and handling are safety. The several parameters to characterize double-base propellants include thermal analysis, microstructure, surface area, burning rate value, and gaseous product. The results of thermal properties by DSC analysis on a DBP based on NC+NG+TiO2-trifluoroacrylate showed a change in exothermic decomposition at a temperature of 199.2oC. Meanwhile, TGA analysis of a DBP based on NC+NG+GAP showed mass decomposition at temperature 199,3oC. Furthermore, it was found that thermoplastic elastomers GAP have a significant effect on increasing the low-temperature mechanical properties of double-base propellants. As a result, the literature studies approach, which includes consideration of alternative energetic raw materials and characterization for double-base propellants, is the recommendation for obtaining superior performance double-base propellants with energetic materials.

Abstract

PT Beurata Subur Persada (BSP) is a company engaged in processing Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) into Crude Palm Oil (CPO) located in Nagan Raya District, Aceh Province. In carrying out the production process, the thresher station is one of the stations in the factory that functions as a machine that ejects fruit from the stage of the jongkos (palm stalk) by slamming the FFB into the thresher drum successively. However, based on initial observations, it is known that the BSP operator who controls the thresher machine also controls other machines, so this increases the physical and mental workload of the operators. The purpose of this study was to analyze the physical workload and mental workload of station operators using the %CVL method and the NASA-TLX method which are influenced by the subjectivity of the operators. The results of the study found that there were 2 operators who experienced rather high physical workloads, while the other 2 operators experienced moderate physical workloads. While measuring the mental workload it is known that all operators are in the moderate category.

Abstract

Indonesia's decision in the procurement of the 4.5th generation Rafale fighter jets was agreed to replace the obsolete aircraft Hawk 109/209 and grounded F-5. The selection of Rafale was not only based on the defense relationship between Indonesia and France that had existed for a very long time but also based on the foreign policy adopted by Indonesia. The free and active foreign policy is shown by several defense equipment owned by Indonesia, not only from a particular country. The government's considerations in choosing the Rafale to strengthen the TNI and cooperation in the defense sector with France include: Advantages of the Rafale Fighter Jet, Long-Term Investment in Indonesian Alutsista, Development of Defense Industry Cooperation, Budget Efficiency, Aspects of Defense and Political Strategy, and Free Guarantee from CAATSA Sanctions. In this case, it is expected that Indonesia will not rely on the procurement of defense equipment from abroad, and the implementation of the Transfer of Technology, Local Content and Offsets on Rafale fighter jets can run as expected, therefore a strategy is needed in accelerating defense acquisition, where there are three strategies for technological development and the defense industry to improve significantly.
