Abstract

Information security related to computer use cannot be separated from cryptography. Hill cipher is an application of modulo arithmetic in cryptography. This cryptography technique uses a square matrix as the key used to carry out encryption and decryption. This cryptographic technique was created with the intention of being able to create ciphers (codes) that cannot be broken using frequency analysis techniques. Hill Cipher does not replace each of the same letters in the plaintext with other letters that are the same in the ciphertext because it uses matrix multiplication as a basis for encryption and decryption. Hill Cipher cryptography is a type of classic cryptography that uses a substitution method by providing random keys and the number is the same as the plaintext. The use of encryption and decryption using the Hill cipher algorithm is to help secure data so that it is not easily falsified or accessed by irresponsible people by changing the original image into a different form where the image is not easy to recognize. The encryption and decryption process was designed using the Java programming language using NetBeans 8.2 and the Hill Cipher algorithm to encrypt RGB digital images

Abstract

Electromagnetic waves are a type of wave phenomenon. Electromagnetic waves are transverse waves that arise due to changes in electric fields and magnetic fields that oscillate with each other. Electromagnetic waves can be generated, one of the ways, from BTS towers so that they can produce intense electromagnetic field radiation. Health problems resulting from exposure to electromagnetic wave radiation cannot be felt directly. However, the longer you are exposed to electromagnetic wave radiation, the more dangerous it will be to your body's health. The aim of this research is to carry out mapping from measuring the intensity of electromagnetic field radiation in the BTS area and to determine the health impact of large electromagnetic field radiation on the surrounding community. Data processing in this research was carried out using quantitative techniques and qualitative techniques, namely by measuring the intensity of the electric field and magnetic field of electromagnetic waves and evaluating the results of the intensity of electromagnetic field radiation as well as conducting interviews as a public health survey. The data obtained in this research was processed using ArcGis and Surfer software for mapping results. Based on the evaluation and mapping results, it shows that the intensity of electromagnetic field radiation is still below the threshold value according to the 2020 ICNIRP standards. Based on the results of this research, there are no significant health effects occurring in the surrounding community.

Abstract

Soft pneumatic actuators (SPAs) offer unique possibilities in robotics and automation due to their compliance and versatility. Unlike conventional actuators that can move either revolute or prismatic, SPAs can produce complex motions, especially when configured in combinations. This paper systematically investigated the performance of four distinct SPA configurations (Types 1-4) concerning the task of moving a planar square object and swaying it laterally to the right and left. These configurations are analyzed for their ability to achieve desired movements and orientations. Type 4, involving two SPAs, emerges as the most effective configuration, successfully navigating the challenges posed by the desired task. In contrast, Type 2, consisting of four SPAs, encounters difficulties in executing the task attributed to increased inertia, which was similar as type 3. Types 1, while not precisely meeting the primary task, reveal distinctive movements - left-right motion without orientation change. This study contributes valuable insights into the complex dynamics of SPAs, offering considerations for optimal design and performance. The outcomes could be developed in the future in soft actuator applications, especially those involving configurations based on specific needs.
