Abstract

The aim of this research was to (1) identify the effect of spray solution (lime and sugar) at different doses on mortality embryo, hatching time and saleable tegal ducks, (2) investigate the best spray solution at different dose on mortality embryo, hatching time and saleable tegal ducks.  The research was conducted from 11th December 2015-9th January 2016 at Beruang St, 12 Kedaton, Bandar Lampung.  Research using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2x2 of nested model.  The main block is the kind solution (lime and sugar) and the partial block is dosage solution (5% and 10%) with 5 replication.  Every unit experimental consist of 3 eggs with average initial weight at 72 ± 1.8 g/egg with coefficient variation ± 2.45%.  variables measured were mortality of last three days of hatching, hatching time and saleable DOD tegal ducks.  Research data were analyzed by using the assumption of variance on the real level of 5%.  The results shows that (1) spray solution (lime and sugar) at different dose give no significant effect (P> 0,05) on mortality, hatching time, and saleable DOD tegal ducks, (2) yet there is the best spray solution at different doses on mortality, hatching time and saleable DOD tegal ducks. Key words: Hatching Time, Mortality, Saleable DOD Tegal Ducks, Solution Dose, Solution of Time, Solution of Sugar

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of Multi Nutrients Sauce (MNS) ERO II in the ration on feed consumption and average daily gain of beef cattle.  The research was conducted October 30th, 2015 - December 6th, 2015 at Ngudi Makmur farmer group, Mulyo Asri village, Tulang Bawang Tengah district, Tulang Bawang Barat regency. Samples ration was analysed at the Laboratory of Nutrition and Feed Science.  Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung.  The experimental design used was a randomized block design (CRD) with three treatments and four blocks. The treatments were: 1. Basal diet; 2. Basal diet + 10% MNS; and 3. Unila diets + 10% MNS. Result of experiment showed that the addition of MNS ERO II significantly affected (P<0.05) on consumption, and average daily gain of beef cattle. Abstract

The experiment was conducted at the Animal Nutrition Laboratory and field laboratory, Animal Husbandry faculty, Brawijaya University Malang for making the oil palm fruit fiber amoniasi and analysis of nutrient content and digestibility in vitro is carried out from July to August 2011. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of differences in the level of use urea and palm amoniasi as a forage substitute. To get the optimum level of use of oil palm fruit fiber amoniasi that gives the best response to digestibility in vitro. The results are expected to be used as information about the utilization of oil palm fruit waste as an alternative to cattle feed.  Materials on research are oil palm fruit fiber and urea as a feed ingredient substitutions. The research method is experimental by design Factorial Randomized Block Design, study the influence of the addition of urea level and duration of incubation in the oil palm fruit fiber for nutrient content and digestibility in vitro. Variables measured, a research study nutrient content, digestibility of DM (Dry matter) and digestibility of OM (Organic matter) of oil palm fruit fiber amoniasi. Data were analyzed by variance and if the real test followed by Duncan.  The results of the research showed that the addition of urea level and duration of incubation significant effect (P <0.05) to 50.61% DM and 48.23 % OM which is in P2.  It can be concluded that use 50 % corn plant and 10% of oil palm fruit fiber and digestibility optimum at DM and OM. Suggested the use of oil palm fruit fiber is to field research to know how impact in dairy cattle. Key words: Amoniasi, In Vitro, Oil Palm Fruit Fiber

Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe the qualitative characteristics of high pigeon (the coat color, head shape, tail shape, body shape, eye shape, the shape of the wings, beak shape and the shape of the foot at the local high pigeon male and female); 2) describe the behavior of pigeons move higher (fly, hanging, running, fighting), and mating behavior (male approaches the female, browse, and making out). This research are conducted in August 2015 in the Rawa subur Road No. 49, Enggal Centre Tanjung Karang, Bandar Lampung. This study used a descriptive exploratory conduct direct observation of the behavior of pigeons and doves characteristics of male and female local high. The results showed qualitative characteristics pigeons local high male and female varied: head shape (type round, type jenong, and type turtledove), beak shape (type rambon and type taper), shape (type of banana bod and ball type), the type of hair (tenuous and short) and the frequency and timing of moving the highest relative to the local high pigeon is flying, while the mating behavior is investigate. Key words: Characteristics, Behavior, Local High Pigeon Males and Females

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of fermented palm oil waste in the ration to the energy intake and digestible energy in cattle grade Ongole. The research was conducted in September-December 2015 in the Laboratory Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. This study uses a randomized block design consisted of three treatments and three replications. Grouping based on body weight is between 200-250 kg in group I, between 170-199 kg  in group II, and between 140-169 kg in group III. Ration treatment used are R0 = control diet (15% of rice straw, 22% of copra meal, 32% of cassava waste, 25% of fine bran,  4% of molasses, 1% of urea, and 1% of premix), R1 = dietary based palm oil waste without fermentation (15% of palm midrib and leaves, 355 of copra oil, 18% of cassava waste, 25% of fine bran, 4% of molasses, 2% of urea, and  1% of premix) and R2 = dietary based palm oil waste fermented (15% of palm midrib and leaves fermented , 35% of copra oil, 18% of cassava waste, 25% of fine bran, 4%of molasses, 2% of urea, and 1% of premix). The data obtained were tested by analysis of variance followed by Least Significant Difference Test if the value of analysis of variance showed real results. The results showed that: (1) awarding dietary based palm oil waste significant (P <0.05) on energy intake and digestible energy. (2) the highest value of energy intake and digestible energy is on R2 with the dietary based palm oil waste fermented. Keywords :Digestible Energy, Energy Intake, Palm Oil Waste
