Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the partnership pattern in the agribusiness system between PT Great Giant Pineapple and Koperasi Hijau Makmur, Arjuna Farmer Group and banana mas farmers in Tanggamus Regency. The location was determined deliberately, considering that Tanggamus Regency has been the center for the production of golden/mas banana in Lampung Province. The number of respondents in this study was 39 households taken simply randomly. Data collection was conducted in May - August 2020. The analytical methods used were farm income analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the average income over the total cost of farming bananas mas was IDR 4,494,342 / hectare and an R/C of 1.27. The partnership pattern carried out by PT Great Giant Pineapple with Koperasi Hijau Makmur, Arjuna Farmer Group and mas banana farmers is an agribusiness operational cooperation partnership pattern. The procurement of agricultural production facilities covering the area of land, labor, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and agricultural tools is in accordance with the exact six applications recommended by the company and the needs of the farmers.  Processing of mas bananas includes the stages of weighing, handing, washing, grading, and packing. The marketing channel of mas banana is monopsony and the marketing agencies involved are farmer groups, cooperatives, and PT. Sewu Segar Nusantara, while support services included farmer groups, cooperatives, information and communication technology.Key words: agribusiness system, agricultural, banana mas, partnership.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the comparison of income, risk, risk mapping, and risk management strategies by farmersof corn farming in dry land and rainfed land.  The survey was conducted in Metro Kibang District, East Lampung Regency in January 2021.  The respondents were randomly selected as many as 70 farmers consisting of 40 dry land farmers in Margototo Village and 30 rainfed land farmers in Kibang Village.  The data were analyzed using the income difference test, the coefficient of variation difference test, risk mapping, and descriptive analysis of farmers’ strategies.  The results showed that the income of corn farming grown in dry land and in rainfed land was different, but both were profitable.  The risk of production and income of corn farming in dry land is greater than in rainfed land.  The risk mapping in dry land and rainfed land shows that the highest risk source come from pests.  In general, dry land farmers and rainfed land farmers have similar strategies, i.e: doing replanting and spraying pesticides for controlling pests. Key words: corn farming, income, risk, risk mapping

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the farm income and household income of lowland rice farmers, to evaluate the nutritional status of children under five and to analyze the factors that affect the nutritional status of the children.  This research is located in Kotadalam Village, Way Lima District, Pesawaran Regency involving 32 rice farming families with children aged 13 to 59 months.  The research used a survey method and data collection was carried out in February - March 2020 and analyzed quantitatively, descriptively, and statistically using Seemingly Unrelated Regression (SUR).  The results shows that the average income of lowland rice farmers was IDR16,678,15.63/year, contributed (67.28%) to the household income of IDR 24,791,015.63.  The nutritional status of children under five calculated based on weight/age was mostly in the normal weight category (96.88%), based on the height/age most children was included in the normal category (71.88%) and based on BMI/U, 71.88% included in the category of good nutrition.  Based on the results of statistical tests, the nutritional status based on body weight/age was influenced by maternal nutritional knowledge, energy sufficiency level, protein adequacy level and parenting styles.  Nutritional status based on the height/age was influenced by the mother's nutritional knowledge, the number of siblings, the level of energy sufficiency and the adequacy level of vitamin A.  Children’s nutritional status based on BMI/age was influenced by the number of siblings and the level of protein adequacy.Key words:, household income, lowland rice, nutritional status

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze the level of food security and the factors that affect the level of food security. The research is conducted by survey method in Metro City that is chosen purposively as the research location. Respondents consisted of 17 paddy farmer households, 5 maize farmer households and 22 non-farmer households which were selected by simple random sampling. The data of income of farmers is analyzed by summing the total income from farming (Paddy and corn), non-farm income and non-agricultural income, while non-farm household income is obtained from the sum of the main work and gifts from children / siblings.  Then to analyze the level of food security it is calculated based on the cross classification between the share of food expenditure and energy adequacy.  The result of this research showed that the average of household income of paddy farmers was IDR 2,984,183/month, the average of household income of corn farmers was IDR 2,682,250/month and the average of household income of non-farmers was IDR 3,003,571/month.  Most of the paddy farmer households were classified as less food (52.94%), as food secures (41.18%) and the rest respondents classified as vulnerable food (5.88%.  Maize farmer households were classified as less food (80.00%) and as food secure (20.00%). Non-farm households were classified as less food (31.82%), as food secure (50.00%) and the rest respondents were classified as vulnerable food (18.18%). The factors that affected the level of food security are the formal education of household head.Key words: farmer and non-farmer households, food security.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the readiness of farmers, their income, and marketing of certified organic coffee in West Lampung Regency. This research conducted in Sindang Pagar Village, Sumber Jaya Sub-District, Mutar Alam Village and Tambak Jaya Village, Way Tenong Sub-District, West Lampung Regency. The samples of this research were all farmers participating in the organic coffee certification program, 35 farmers totally. Qualitative descriptive analysis used to analyze the readiness of farmers in participating the certification program, quantitative descriptive analysis used to calculate farm income, marketing channels, and marketing margins. The results showed that the farmers were not ready to take part in the organic certification program because there were still unfulfilled indicators. Organic coffee farming income is IDR3,741,918 per ha with an R/C value of 1.74. Coffee marketing in this research area has 3 marketing channels. In marketing channel I farmers sell their coffee to coffee processors, in marketing channel II farmers sell to wholesalers then to exporters, in marketing channel III coffee farmers sell to collectors, then to wholesalers, and finally to exporters. The selling price in the first channel is more profitable for farmers than the second and third channels. Marketing carried out by farmers participating in the certification, namely 18% is sold at the price of organic coffee, and the remaining 82% sold underpriced. In the second and third channels, farmers do not get a premium fee for marketing the coffee products they produce during the certification process.Key words: coffee, certification, farmers, organic.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze management of raw material procurement; cost of production, added value and profit; distribution channels in the luwak coffee aroindustry. The method used was a case study on the Ratu Luwak Agroindustry in Balik Bukit District, West Lampung Regency. The research was conducted from April 2020 to June 2020. The data analysis methods used were quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicated that the management of raw material procurement was not yet economical; the cost of production, added value and profit of the agroindustry had positive values which means that the agro-industry was profitable; distribution channels shown that the marketing was efficient. Key words: agroindustry, luwak coffee, performance, regular coffee.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to explore the travel costs incurred by visitors to Bukit Sakura, the factors that affect the number of tourist visits to Bukit Sakura, the economic value of Bukit Sakura and the impact of Bukit Sakura on the people's economy. The research location was chosen deliberately in Bukit Sakura Nature Tourism. Data collection was carried out in March-July 2020. The method used in this study was a case study with 76 visitor respondents, 15 worker respondents and 8 business unit respondents. The data analysis methods used are travel cost analysis, Poisson regression analysis, economic value calculation, and Keynesian multiplier effect. Travel expenses incurred by visitors to Bukit Sakura tourism are IDR 88,805 per person per visit. The factors that influence the number of visits to Bukit Sakura are the age and cost of the trip. The economic value of Bukit Sakura based on the travel cost method is IDR 13,111,054,718.63. The Income Multiplier Keynesian value is 0.45 while the Income Multiplier Ratio Type 1 value is 2.68 and the value obtained from Income Multiplier Ratio Type 2 is 5.18. The Income Multiplier Keynesian value of 0.45 indicates that Bukit Sakura tourism still has a low economic impact.Key words: economic impacts, economic value, number of visits, and travel costs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of food consumption and nutritional status of under five year children (toddlers) at the coastal areas of Teluk Betung Timur Distric with secondary data description method.  This research is part of an umbrella study conducted in three areas in Bandar Lampung City, namely the highlands, lowlands, and coastal areas.  The research sample in this study was 32 children aged 12-59 months.  The data was analyzed by scoring the Desireble Dietary Pattern (DDP) to determine the food consumption pattern of toddlers and nutritional status assessment.  The results showed the level of Energy Adequacy (TKE) of toddlers at the coastal areas of Teluk Betung Timur District of 110.13 percent which can be categorized as normal.  Toddlers with an energy deficit of 5 toddlers (15.63%) while toddlers who experienced excess energy as much as 12 toddlers (37.15%).  Only one toddler has a deficit of vitamin A while there are 19 toddlers who have a calcium deficit.  The results showed the DDP of toddlers was only 72.32 which can be interpreted that DDP of toddlers have not reached the maximum score.  Toddlers at the coastal areas of Teluk Betung Timur District who experienced malnutrition as much as 21.88 percent; stunting toddlers as much as 28.13 percent; and skinny toddlers as much as 15.63 percent.Key words: DDP, food consumption patterns, nutritional status, toddler

Abstract

Thei study aimsi toi analyze the levels of satisfaction andi loyaltyi ofi consumers toi the purchase of lapis legit sponge cake in Selera Rasa Bandar Lampung. This research was  conducted in Lapis Legit Selera Rasa, Bandari Lampungi. The research method used is a survey method. The sampling technique used was accidental samplingi. The numbers respondents was 55 costumers. The analysis method used is the i Customeri Satisfactioni Indexi (CSIi) analysisi andi thei loyaltyi pyramidi. Thei resultsi showedi thati Lapisi Legiti Selera Rasa consumers were satisfied with a high level of satisfaction (CSI = 68,85%). The consumer loyalty pyramid was at the level of liking the brand, meaning that consumers really like the brand of Lapis Legit Selera Rasa and willing to bear the transition costs.Key words: Consumer satisfaction,lapis legit cake, loyalty
