Abstract

The influence between number of unemployment and number of poor population on Indonesian GDP is shown by regression analysis in Rstudio software. Transformation of regression is examined in order to equalize units between variables in which the effect of increase or decrease can be interpreted by percentage. The number of unemployment has a significant influence on the GDP with a 99% confidence level where a 1% increase in the number of unemployment will raise GDP by 1.5581%. The number of poor population has a significant influence on the GDP with a confidence level of 99.9% where an increase of 1% on poor population will reduce GDP by 3.6266%. The number of unemployment and the number of poor population simultaneously has a significant effect on the GDP with a confidence level of 100% where the dominant effect is on the poor population. The results of statistical tests show the transformation of regression between the number of unemployment and the number of poor population can illustrate its effect on the GDP up to 62.54%. The proposed policy implication based on the regression is to maintain the equilibrium between the price setting and the wage setting that provides welfare for the community so that poverty can be suppressed. Decreasing poverty will increase the consumption power of the population in which Indonesia's GDP will increase as well.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the independent variable (reference interest rate, the amount of credit extended to the public and the amount of third party funds received from the public) on the dependent variable (net interest income at conventional commercial banks in Indonesia). The research method uses multiple linear regression analysis. The stages of the research are determining the multiple linear regression equation, calculation of the coefficient of determination, F test (simultaneous) and t test (partial). The results showed that the most influencing variable Net Interest Income based on the order of the coefficient was the Amount of Credit, Reference Interest Rate and Amount of Third Party Funds. That as much as 91.70% of the factors that influence the independent variables can be explained by the independent variables, while the remaining 8.30% can be explained by other factors outside the variables in this study. And simultaneously or partially all the independent variables play a role in influencing the dependent variable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of increased local government taxes and expenditure on the consumption of Lampung Province society. The estimation model in the simultaneous model of the increase in taxes and expenditure of the Lampung provincial government uses the 2 SLS (Two-Stage Least Squares) method. The simulation results of a tax increase of 10% reduced the Gross Regional Domestic Product of Lampung Province by 0.03% and the consumption of Lampung Province by 0.03%. This is also shown by the decrease in demand for the Province's money by 0.01%. On the other hand, the simulation results of the Lampung Province Government spending increase by 10% raised the Lampung Province Regional Domestic Products by 2.06% and the Lampung Province people's consumption by 0.04%. In conclusion, the increase in regional government expenditure is a driving factor that provides stimulus in addition to the Gross Regional Domestic Product and the consumption of the Lampung Province community, as well as to the activities of private investors and regional exports and imports including the money supply.
