Abstract

Waste management methods in Indonesia largely rely on unsustainable practices such as open dumping and landfills which urgently need transformation. Pyrolysis is one alternative solution for waste problems as it can process waste into other products. As the existing production system was not set up to manufacture this machine, we proposed a production system to produce a pyrolizer so that a more effective and efficient production process can be achieved. In this study, we employed Group Technology approach using Rank Order Clustering (ROC) method to create cell manufacturing groups. Based on our evaluation on the shortest material movement, we produced 2 different cells to manufacture the pyrolyzer. Cell, I contained plate cutting, drilling, pipe cutting, and bending machines (M2, M5, M3, M4), whilst Cell 2 contained rolling and lathe machines (M1, M6).  It also contained main reactor, pyrolyzer reactor burner, middle condenser, upper access door, bottom access door, upper condenser, bottom condenser components (A, F, H, B, C, G, I). Out of the sixteen components to be made, seven components were in Cell I whereas the other nine were in Cell II (N, P, J, E, D, K , L, M, O) comprising burner case, access ladders, separators, firewalls, reactor base frames, condenser frames, gas piping, water piping, and sprinklers components. By applying this group technology method to the pyrolyzer production system, the production process could be carried out in a more efficient and organized manner.

Abstract

Accidents and occupational diseases occur frequently, especially in the manufacturing industry. Workers also have psychological burdens in the industrial era 4.0 as indicated by the increase in cases of stress experienced when interacting with machines. These concerns led this study to reduce the psychological and social negative impacts on workers interacting with machines. This was achieved through a systematic literature review using the PRISMA stages to comprehensively determine the burden experienced by workers and their impact. It was discovered from the 14 articles that meet the search criteria that the psychological and social conditions of workers are very bad mainly due to the application of technology in the Industry 4.0 era. This was caused by eight factors which include (1) workload exceeding capacity, (2) high concentration and cognitive activity demanded at work, (3) increased cognitive load, (4) anxiety about their ability to use technology, (5) work becoming increasingly complex, (6) worried that their position will be replaced by technology, (7) inability to operate technology, and (8) reduced social interaction. It was recommended that the impact be reduced by managing the causative burdens using two main approaches which include the company and the individual worker affected.

Abstract

Eye tracking (ET) banyak digunakan untuk mendeteksi perubahan okular, namun belum banyak penelitian yang menganalisis kemampuan indikator ET dalam mendeteksi kewaspadaan. Padahal indikator okular banyak dikaitkan dengan kelelahan yang dapat menurunkan kewaspadaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan indikator ET yang dapat mendeteksi kewaspadaan pada pembatasan durasi tidur dan waktu pemeriksaan. Penelitian melibatkan 28 pria yang diminta melakukan inspeksi cacat (scratch, dirt, missing part, dan poor assembly) pada 50 senter sambil dilakukan pengukuran Psychomotor Vigilance Task (PVT) dan indikator ET. Durasi tidur dibatasi 4 dan 8 jam, serta waktu pemeriksaan terdiri dari waktu yang dibatasi dan tidak dibatasi. Variabel terikat adalah mean RT (reaction time), % minor lapses, dan mean 1/RT dari PVT. Dari ET diukur durasi fiksasi, diameter pupil, jumlah sakadik, dan kecepatan sakadik. Hasil eksperimen diolah dengan Two-way Repeated Measures ANOVA dan Pearson Correlation. Hasil ANOVA dengan signifikansi α=0,05 menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh durasi tidur terhadap mean RT, % minor lapses, dan mean 1/RT. Sedangkan waktu pemeriksaan berpengaruh terhadap durasi fiksasi dan jumlah sakadik. Berdasarkan uji Pearson Correlation, indikator ET dan PVT berkorelasi lemah atau sangat lemah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapatnya indikator ET yang cukup baik untuk mendeteksi kewaspadaan pada pembatasan durasi tidur dan waktu pemeriksaan.  Abstract [Analysis of Eye Tracking Indicators to Detect Vigilance Affected by Sleep Duration and Inspection Time Constraints] Eye tracking (ET) is widely used to detect ocular changes. However, few studies analyze the capability of ET indicators for detecting vigilance, albeit ocular indicators are often associated with fatigue which can reduce vigilance. This study aims to determine ET indicators that can detect vigilance on limited sleep and inspection duration. This study involved 28 men who were asked to perform inspection tasks for defects (scratch, dirt, missing parts, and poor assembly) on 50 flashlights while Psychomotor Vigilance Task (PVT) and ET indicators were measured. Sleep duration was limited to 4 and 8 hours, while inspection duration consisted of two levels, i.e. limited and not limited. Dependent variables were mean RT (reaction time), % minor lapses, and mean 1/RT of PVT. Furthermore, ET indicators included duration fixation, pupil diameter, number of saccades, and saccades velocity. The data were processed using Two-way Repeated Measures ANOVA and Pearson Correlation. ANOVA with significance of α=0,05 shows that there was an effect of sleep duration on mean RT, % minor lapses, and mean 1/RT. In addition, inspection duration had an effect on fixation duration and number of saccades. Based on Pearson Correlation test, all ET and PVT indicators had weak or very weak correlation. This research indicates that there is no ET indicator that is adequate to detect vigilance in limited sleep and inspection duration.Keywords: eye tracking; inspection duration; sleep duration; vigilance

Abstract

Penilaian performansi bertujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi, kepuasan kerja, dan komitmen pegawai terhadap organisasi. Nilai dan budaya organisasi adalah aspek yang perlu diintegrasikan dengan proses penilaian performansi yang berorientasi pada pengembangan pegawai. PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang jasa outsourcing yang memiliki pegawai outsource yang melebihi 1.000 orang. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan penilaian performansi pegawai Head Office (HO) PT. XYZ masih menggunakan sistem penilaian searah dan tertutup, selain itu belum ada evaluasi maupun feedback yang diberikan dari hasil penilaian yang dilakukan. Pegawai merasa program pengembangan & pembelajaran, sistem penilaian, dan penghargaan masih belum sesuai dengan ekspektasi. Hal ini berdampak pada kepuasan pegawai dan menjadi salah satu latar belakang meningkatnya angka turn over pegawai pada tahun 2021. Penelitian ini membahas tentang sistem penilaian performansi pegawai HO sebagai upaya awal meningkatkan kepuasan pegawai dan merangsang peningkatan performa. Fuzzy AHP dengan metode penilaian 360 Degree feedback digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan terhadap kesubjektifan penilaian. Metode penilaian yang digunakan diintegrasikan dengan nilai dan budaya perusahaan. Berdasarkan perhitungan fuzzy AHP dimensi dengan bobot tertinggi adalah performansi tugas 0,595, performansi adaptif 0,205, performansi kontekstual 0,144, dan perilaku kerja kontraproduktif 0,056. Hasil penilaian kemudian digunakan untuk proses perhitungan pemberian insentif.  Abstract[Development of Employee Performance Appraisal System in Outsourcing Service Companies] Performance appraisal aims to develop employee potential, job satisfaction, and commitment to the organization. Organizational values and culture are aspects that need to be integrated with a performance appraisal process that is oriented toward employee development. PT. XYZ is a company engaged in outsourcing services with more than 1,000 outsourced employees. In carrying out employee performance appraisal activities at the Head Office (HO) of PT. XYZ still uses a unidirectional and closed scoring system, apart from that there has been no evaluation or feedback given from the results of the assessment. Employees feel that development & learning programs, assessment systems, and awards are still not in line with expectations. This has an impact on employee satisfaction and is one of the reasons for increasing employee turnover rates in 2021. This research discusses the HO employee performance appraisal system as an initial effort to increase employee satisfaction and stimulate increased performance. Fuzzy AHP with a 360 Degree feedback assessment method is used to solve problems regarding the subjectivity of the assessment. The valuation method used is integrated with the company's values and culture. Based on the AHP fuzzy calculation, the dimension with the highest weight is task performance 0.595, adaptive performance 0.205, contextual performance 0.144, and counterproductive work behavior 0.056. Abstract

Dalam memilih dan membeli tanah liat, Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) kerajinan gerabah memiliki empat pemasok tanah liat yang berlokasi di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Seiring berjalannya pembelian bahan baku tanah liat, muncul masalah terkait kualitas tanah liat. Masalah tersebut adanya pemasok tanah liat yang memberikan kualitas tanah liat tidak ulet dan sulit dibentuk yang mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas produk gerabah dan terjadinya peningkatan biaya produksi karena melakukan pembelian tanah liat kembali. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memilih prioritas pemasok tanah liat yang memiliki kualitas bahan baku yang baik dan membuat usulan desain Standar Operational Procedure (SOP) pengadaan bahan baku gerabah yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk dan mengurangi biaya produksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan kombinasi metode yaitu metode kaizen berupa diagram Pareto dan diagram Fishbone dalam menganalisa permasalahan yang muncul. Kemudian pada tahap pengolahan data, metode yang digunakan adalah metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) yang multi kriteria untuk menentukan kualitas bahan baku dari empat pemasok dengan bantuan dua responden yang merupakan ahli dibidang pembelian bahan baku. Penelitian ini telah membuat desain SOP pengadaan barang pada departemen produksi UMKM gerabah. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa urutan prioritas pemasok tanah liat yang memiliki nilai bobot tertinggi dari hasil pengolahan data dengan metode AHP yaitu, yang pertama pemasok GE (0,5814), yang kedua adalah pemasok KA (0,1890), kemudian pemasok GD (0,1246), dan yang terakhir adalah pemasok MA (0,1051). AbstractIn selecting and purchasing clay, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) for pottery crafts have four clay suppliers located in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. As the purchase of clay raw materials progresses, problems arise regarding the quality of the clay. The problem is that there are clay suppliers who provide quality clay that is not ductile and difficult to form, which results in a decrease in the quality of pottery products and an increase in production costs due to repurchasing clay. This research aims to select priority clay suppliers who have good quality raw materials and make a design proposal for a Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) for the procurement of pottery raw materials that can improve product quality and reduce production costs. This research uses a combination of methods, namely the kaizen method in the form of Pareto diagrams and Fishbone diagrams in analyzing problems that arise. Then at the data processing stage, the method used was the multi-criteria Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the quality of raw materials from four suppliers with the help of two respondents who were experts in the field of purchasing raw materials. This research has created an SOP design for procurement of goods in the pottery MSME production department. The results of this research are in the form of a priority order for clay suppliers that have the highest weight value from the results of data processing using the AHP method, namely, the first is the GE supplier (0.5814), the second is the KA supplier (0.1890), then the GD supplier (0.1246), and the last one is the MA supplier (0.1051).Keywords: analytical hierarchy process; kaizen; supplier selection; clay; MSMEs

Abstract

Samsung mengalami penurunan persentase penjualan sebesar 15,2% menjadi 53,5 juta pada kuartal II tahun 2023 dibandingkan dengan data kuartal II pada 2022 lalu dengan angka penjualan sebesar 63,1 juta. Guna mencegah penurunan penjualan lebih lanjut dan menjaga serta meningkatkan penjualannya di Indonesia, perusahaan Samsung perlu memahami faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian smartphone Samsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: Pengaruh dari harga, kualitas produk, citra merek dan promosi secara simultan terhadap keputusan pembelian smartphone Samsung, pengaruh secara parsial dan saran apa yang dapat diberikan bagi perusahaan Samsung guna meningkatkan posisinya di pasar smartphone di Indonesia. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan jumlah sampel 200 menggunakan metode convenience sampling. Pengolahan data dengan regresi logistik biner. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah harga, kualitas produk, citra merek dan promosi secara simultan memiliki pengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian sebesar 33,2%. Secara parsial, kualitas produk dan citra merek memiliki pengaruh yang positif signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian smartphone Samsung, dengan persamaan regresi logistik Y (x) = -9,354 + 0,122X2 + 0,244X3. Perusahaan Samsung dapat lebih memperhatikan kualitas produknya, misalkan dengan menambah fitur-fitur canggih di produknya. Kemudian untuk aspek citra merek, Samsung dapat menjadikan artis atau selebgram ternama untuk meningkatkan citra mereknya di mata masyarakat.  ABSTRACTSamsung's sales decreased by 15.2% to 53.5 million in the Q2 of 2023 from 63.1 million in the Q2 of 2022. To prevent a decline in sales and increase sales in Indonesia, Samsung needs to understand the factors that influence people's decisions to buy Samsung smartphones. This research aims to determine the simultaneous influence of price, product quality, brand image, and promotion on the decision to purchase Samsung, as well as their partial effects. Additionally, recommendations are provided for Samsung to improve its position in Indonesia. The data collection method involved using a questionnaire with a sample size of 200, employing convenience sampling. Data processing using binary logistic regression. The results of the study indicate that collectively, price, product quality, brand image, and promotion have a 33.2% influence on the decision to purchase. Partially, product quality and brand image significantly influence the decision to purchase Samsung, with the logistic regression equation Y (x) = -9.354 + 0.122X2 + 0.244X3. Samsung should pay more attention to the quality of its products, such as incorporating advanced features. Additionally, for brand image, Samsung could collaborate with well-known celebrities or influencers to enhance its brand image in the eyes of the public.Keywords: smartphone; price; product quality; brand image; promotion; binary logistic regression
