Abstract

The study was conducted in May 2001 wlth aims to identifl and examine changes the biotic condition of coastal resources. The study used dual approaches of old and new data collections followed by statistical test of Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test.

Abstract

The scads population have long been exploited in ldonesia Exploitation to the offshore water started when purse seine was introdused in 1970. The exploitation extends eastwards to the Macassar Strait and nonhwards to the southern part of the south china sea.

Abstract

Bottom long line fisheries in the continental shelf area of the Arafura Sea has have practised and developed since the last two decades. But bottom long lining in the slope area seemed to be unusual fishing operation for most Indonesian fishers as this fishing activily facing a relatively higher rbks of fishing gear lost.

Abstract

The digestive organs of two sea turdes, Chelonia mydas L. and Eretmochelys imbicata L. with purpose to analyse the digestive tract and other organs, also to preform their weight were carapace length relation skimp. The specimens of the two species were obtained from slaughtered houses in Benoa Bay, South Bali.

Some reproduction aspects of "layang deles" (Decaperus macrosoma) in the Java Sea were investigated using microscope, gonado somatic index and diameter of eggs for determining the stage of maturity.
