Abstract

Pneumonia is an acute infectious disease that occurs in toddlers caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Risk factors for pneumonia are prematurity, BBLR, lack of exclusive breast milk, cigarette smoke, air pollution and congenital heart defects. The death rate of children under five in the world due to pneumonia in 2019 began to decline but the decline was lower than other infectious diseases. Data shows that pneumonia and diarrhea cause 2 million children to die each year. Toddler pneumonia in Indonesia is the second leading cause of death, with a mortality rate of 0.16% for toddlers, while West Java is among the 10 provinces with the most pneumonia cases, and Tasikmalaya Regency is among the 10 most regions with 1,814 cases of toddler pneumonia. Based on these data, appropriate management is needed to reduce the morbidity and mortality of pneumonia in toddlers. The research method is a quasi-experimental design of a pre-test post test with a control group design. The population of all hospitalized toddlers, the number of 30 respondents for the intervention group and the control group used time-based accidental sampling. Data analysis was univariate and bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and the Mann Whitney-U test. The research instrument used questionnaires, namely demographic data, Perceived Disease Severity Scale, childcare stress questionnaire, child quality of life questionnaire (PedsQLTM 4.0), and satisfaction questionnaire. The results showed that the interventions given in the intervention group showed that there was an effect of the Continuing Nursing Care Program on quality of life p-value 0.007, nursing stress (p-value 0.006), and hospitalization satisfaction (p-value 0.011), as well as inpatient satisfaction in the control group (p-value 0.044). This shows that the Continuing Nursing Care Program is effective in providing nursing care for toddlers with pneumonia in hospitals.

Abstract

Adolescents are in the age group of 10-18 years, need to prepare for adulthood and improve their health among malnutrition. Obesity is a condition where body fat is more than it should be. This situation can be caused by poor diet and lack of physical activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of diet and physical activity to the incidence of obesity in adolescents 16-17 years at High school Bengkulu City. This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 7 Bengkulu City. A sample of 81 students was obtained using random sampling technique. Diet was collected by instrument, with Eating Behavior Patterns Questionnaire (EBPQ), Physical activity using Physical Activity Questionnaire - Adolescent (PAQ-A). Measurement of body weight and height to determine IMT/U.Obtained students with a good diet of (80%), while physical activity is sufficient as much as (84%). The chi-square results show that there is a relationship between diet and obesity with a p-value (p=0.003) and there is a relationship between physical activity and obesity with a p-value (p=0.005).Concluded that diet and physical activity can affect the incidence of obesity in adolescents 16-17 years at High School Bengkulu City

Abstract

Craniotomy is a common surgical procedure in the neurosurgery division that involves making a sufficient hole in the cranium for optimal intracranial access. An important part of craniotomy is the maintenance of stable intracranial pressure by administering furosemide. The purpose of this administration is to observe changes in urine output. Objective to know the relationship between furosemide administration and changes in urine output volume of craniotomy patients at Hospital Tegal. This study was analytic observational with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used total sampling with a total of 31 respondents. Data analysis using fisher excat test. The results of this study showed that most patients experienced changes in urine output volume of 27 respondents (87.1%) with an average change in urine from 245.8 ml to 1469.3 ml. There is a statistically significant relationship between furosemide administration and changes in urine output volume of craniotomy patients with the fisher exact test obtained a value of r = 0.013, so that alternative hypothesis can be accepted. The Conclusion there is a relationship between furosemide administration and changes in urine output volume of craniotomy patients at hospital in Tegal City.

Abstract

Tuberculosis or also known as TB is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, in which the bacterium can not only attack the lungs but also attack other organs such as carbuncles, skin, meningitis, lymph nodes, intestines and other people. The transmission originates when the patient sneezes or coughs so that the germs spread through the air in the form of sputum. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the incidence of tuberculosis in the work area of the Bengkulu Pasar Ikan Market Health Center. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted at the Fish Market Health Center in Bengkulu City from November 25 to December 24, 2022. The research sample was taken from a total of 64 people using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out by univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test with α = 0.05. The results of the study showed that there was an influence between age, knowledge, attitudes, gender, smoking habits, ventilation, occupancy density, humidity and lighting related to the incidence of tuberculosis.

Abstract

Introduction: Uric acid the end product of purine catabolism in the human body. The cause of increased uric acid levels is influenced by various factors including alcohol, genetics, hypothyroidism, obesity, and a diet high in purines. Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by increased blood sugar, which is caused by an imbalance between blood supply and the need to increase glucose into cells to make it available for cell metabolism and growth. The decrease or absence of insulin makes glucose stuck in the blood and causes blood sugar to increase, while cells lack glucose which is needed for cell survival and function. Objective: To determine the relationship between blood uric acid and fasting blood sugar levels in the Academic Community of the Bengkulu Ministry of Health Polytechnic. Methods: The design of this study was observational with a cross sectional design. This research was conducted on May 8-19, 2023. Sampling in this research will be conducted at the Bengkulu Ministry of Health Polytechnic. Data collection techniques use secondary data. The data collected was then processed and analyzed using Univariate analysis to find out the average frequency distribution of each variable and a data normality test was performed between uric acid levels and fasting blood sugar levels, and bivariate analysis using the Pearson correlation test. Results: There was no significant relationship between uric acid levels and fasting blood sugar levels in the Academic Community of the Bengkulu Ministry of Health Polytechnic in 2022 (p=-0.051). There is no relationship between uric acid levels in men and women with fasting blood sugar levels of the Academic Community at the Bengkulu Ministry of Health Polytechnic in 2022 (p=0.872) and (p=0.470). Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between uric acid levels and fasting blood sugar levels in the Academic Community of the Bengkulu Ministry of Health Poltekkes in 2022.
