Abstract

Trade of reptiles in regional and international have been increased every year. The trade of reptileswas three divided, that is pet reptile, consumption reptile and reptile skin. The trade of skin reptile was greater than pests, because the skin of reticulated python is the most popular and to be excellent among exporters. Quotas export is all of number of quota exporter should be traded by exporter to international. This study aimed to identify of key variables exporter and formulation of calculation quota exporters of reticulated python. The methods used in this research were examination of administrative documents exporters and direct observation to the enclosure to 44 exporter skin of phyton reticulated. The key variables have corelate with the calculation of quota exporter are export realization ofthe previous year (X1), labor (X2), crusted product (X4), investment value (X5), yield (X6), PNBP (X7), state of export (X8), time of realization (X9), conservation activities (X10), chemicals (X11), and electricity (X12). Based on the analysis of linier regression formula obtained quota determination exporter: Y = 2.001 + 0.002 X3 + 0.072 X4 + 0.080 X5 + 0.030 X6  – 0.384 X9  + 0.059 X10. The result of regression equation of adjusted R square is 0.916. It means that the quation of regression linear is 91.6% for calculation of quotas as it could be explained by finished product, products crusted, yield, investment, time of realization and conservation activities, while 8.4% is explained by variables that are not included in of this research. Variables were positively related to the calculation of export quotas include finished product (X3), product crusted (X4), investments (X5), yield (X6), and conservation activities (X10), while the variables that have a negative relationship is time of realization ( X9).

Abstract

Industrial Estate development has an important role for national economic growth. The government regulation number 24 year 2009 (replaced by number 142 year 2015) states that most of all industrial / manufacturing activities in Indonesia should be located in industrial estate. By this reason, an integrated environmental management in industrial estate will become the significant strategic to support national sustainable development. Industrial estate developer should have a proper environmental management system to minimize the negative impacts of its activities to environment. The sustainability performance analysis was conducted in Jababeka Industrial Estate, year 2008-2014, which refer to PROPER KLHK green rating criterias (the assessment program for company performance rating in environmental management issued by Ministry of Environment and Forestry). The analysis was approached by multi-dimensional scaling (MDS) with rapfish software modification. The sustainability analysis result showed that the ‘sustainable’ status was only achieved on institutional management dimension (Stress: 23.15%, R2: 94.4), while other dimensions (ecology, technology, social and economy) had the status of ‘less sustainable’ or ‘not sustainable’. The dominant leverage factors in environmental management were 3R hazardous waste implementation (RMS 8.69 > median 4.35), the financing of water conservation and wastewater reduction (RMS 4.08 > median 2.275), community development implementation (RMS 6.38 > median 5.69), air emission reduction technology (RMS 10.65 > median 2.79), and benchmarking policies (RMS 15.45 > median 12.15). By considering this dominant leverage factors, Industrial Estate Company was recommended to apply the strategic plans to achieve the sustainable performance in the near future.

Abstract

Hotels commonly still use electric energy inefficiently. One kWh consumption equals to 5,2041x10-4 mtCO2 emission. This research discusses about reduction of CO2 emission through electric energy management in hotel’s public spaces. The design was a survey with 90 respondents in 4-star hotel ABC Jakarta.  The kWh measurements were conducted in Lobby Hotel ABC. The research was done in 2012 and it showed correlation between workers’ knowledge, attitude and behavior to the quality of electric energy management. The hotel showed low quality of electric energy management. Electric energy use for illumination in Hotel ABC was 3,232.8 kWh/year equals to1.68 mtCO2/year. The experiment was done by using LED lamps with reduction of CO2 results for Lobby Hotel ABC was 55.90% equals to 0.94 mtCO2/year. In conclusion, worker’s behavior gives influence to the quality of electric energy management. To improve the quality of electric energy management, it is recommended to determine electric energy efficiency policy and program, relevant training and working procedures, implementation of best practices and if necessary use LED lamps to replace incandescent and CFL lamps.

Abstract

Saguling reservoir is an artificial reservoir located in West Bandung regency at an altitude of 643 m above sea level and serves to stem the Citarum River which is the largest river in West Java. Upper Citarum River has detected the organochlorine insecticide, one of them iss DDT. It is feared that DDT can accumulate in Saguling Reservoir which is the first dam to stem the Citarum River. This is very worrying given Saguling has greatly affect to the lives of many people. This study was conducted to estimate the fugacityvalue and concentration of DDT in each environmental compartment, such as in water, sediment, fish, aquatic plants, and mollusks by using Fugacity models. From calculation result, average DDT fugacity in the air is 3.23.10-14Pa, on the soil 2.73.10-17Pa, in the water 1.78.10-9 Pa, in sediments 9.64.10-10Pa. DDT concentration in the air compartment at Saguling Reservoir is 9,1.10-12ppm, on the ground 4,5.10-11ppm, in the water 6,9.10-4ppm, in sediments 0.99ppm, in the fish 0.013ppm, in the aquatic plant 0.005ppm, and in the mollusk 0.002ppm. Fugacity models are useful in predicting the distribution of DDT in each environmental compartment in Saguling Reservoir.

Abstract

Pudu River that flow from Kota Duri which has a length of 26.04 km which is one of the rivers that flow in Kecamaan Saber and indicated many declined. One reason is the liquid waste that comes from the remnants of domestic waste water (domestic wastewater) and leachate (leachate) from the accumulation of garbage from several locations in Pudu River. This study aims to determine how the image quality of BOD and COD in Pudu River. The method used in this study with the primary survey (sampling), laboratory testing, and subsequent use QUAL2Kw program. The results obtained are: 1) the pollutant load of BOD, almost all the observation location above the threshold specified safe, except the observation location 5 (Bridges Tough Road I; Sub Pematang Pudu) is equal to 1,218 mg / l; and 2) the COD pollutant load in Pudu River, shows that at all locations on the above observations safe threshold. To anticipate is necessary to recover the quality of Pudu River, including: coordination between stakeholders in order to minimize the pollutant load, checking the presence / absence of wastewater before the wastewater discharged, the supervision of solid waste that are not disposed directly into Pudu River
