Abstract

A hydraulic system is one of the secondary power used to drive the flight control surfaces, retract and extend landing gears, and to provide power to wheel brakes when the aircraft is on the ground. The failure of the hydraulic system results in aircraft lost of control which can lead to aircraft accident and passenger deaths. This journals discusses the safety assessment of the hydraulic system to be used in H-8 aircraft which includes the safety assessment process, regulations of the aircraft hydraulic system, the hydraulic system loads, and the aircraft hydraulic systems performance. The safety assessment begins with identification and classification of the functions, failure conditions, the effects of failure, and classify the failure conditions of the hydraulic system.

Abstract

The measurement of the duration of solar irradiation at the climatology station can be done using campbell stokes and pias cards. The aim of this research is to assist the climatology station operator to determine the burn object on the SO-40U (1400-40S) type of pias cards, making it easier to calculate the duration of solar irradiation. This app is designed and built to successfully segmentation the burn on the card automatically. In this research, the data was collected at a climatology station located in Barongan, Sumberagung Jetis, Bantul. Based on the test conducted segmentation generated in this study is good and produce RMSE number of object result of segmentation equal to 2,6485 to sum object in original image. The difference in object calculation results from a segmentation error caused by a small burning object of the pias card and or a thin but translucent object, so that the object is partially lost or forms an object's separation area.

Abstract

The research is located at Kulonprogo Dome, Central Java and Yogyakarta Province. The aim is to identified landform unit at Kulonprogo Dome as result of geomorphology process recorded on Landsat 8 and SRTM image.This research was conducted by analysis and class division of landform at Landsat 8 image and division of slope class on SRTM image. Of the two image are supported by secondary data in the form of divison of slope class and genetic landform.The field observations can identify the lithology of the research area composed by clay-sand deposits, clay stone, tufan sandstone, andesite lava, and andesite breccia. The interpretation of the SRTM image illustrates the slope at Kulonprogo Dome is 0-2%, 3-7%, 8-13%, 14-20%, 21-55%, 56-140%, >140%. Interpretation of Landsat 8 image shows landform fluvial processes (floodplains, lakes), denudational processes (denudational slope and hills, denudational hills and mountains), volcanic processes (volcanic denudational hills)

Abstract

The main challenge for the development of unmanned aircraft today is the cruising range of unmanned aircraft. One of the causes of limited cruising range is the weakness of the communication system between aircraft and ground station. In this study designed a system of data downlink integrated with adaptive control so that it can increase cruising range from unmanned aircraft. The method used in this research is the experimental method to get the design and pilot plan downlink data system combined with adaptive control to create intelligent data downlink device that can increase cruising range unmanned aircraft. From this research found that Kalman Filter is the best algorithm used in designing an adaptive downlink system.

Abstract

 Pegas adalah suatu komponen yang berfungsi untuk menerima beban dinamis dan memberikan kenyamanan dalam berkendara. Permasalahan yang sering dialami oleh pegas daun adalah patah akibat beban lebih atau kondisi jalan yang kurang baik. Penanganan pada hal seperti ini adalah penyambungan menggunakan las SMAW.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi arus pengelasan terhadap kekuatan impak, kekerasan dan Struktur mikro. Jenis las yang digunakan adalah las SMAW. Variasi arus pengelasan yang digunakanadalah 100 A, 120 A dan 140 A. Jenis kampuh yang digunakan adalah jenis kampuh V.Hasil uji kekuatan impak tertinggi diperoleh pada variasi arus 100 A yaitu sebesar 1,698 J/mm2. Hasil uji kekerasan tertinggi diperoleh pada variasi arus 140 A yaitu sebesar 355,338 HVN. Struktur mikro pada daerah las memiliki ukuran butiran yang semakin besar dan struktur perlit yang semakin banyak untuk variasi arus 140 A.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the technology of unmanned aircraft for agricultural purposes in realizing the food security of Indonesia. One of the main problems of agriculture in Indonesia is the high cost of agriculture especially the use of chemicals, fertilizer to labor. During this time farmers spend resources such as fertilizer to all plants without the required portion. So it should be attempted an engineering that can reduce the cost of agriculture in terms of labor usage for fertilizing activities and spraying of pests are relatively expensive. The method that will be used for the problem is to make a prototype of pest spraying system by using liquid media on platform unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) with quadcopter base. Stages in this research include: desk assessment, making of design requirement objective, conceptual making and basic design and making real prototype UAV. The performance of the spraying results is done flight stability test and pest spraying performance. The test results show that the prototype UAV platform using 0.5 litres liquid media, capable of spraying an area of 2 m2 with a flying time of 10 minutes with a height of 70 cm from the ground. The results of this test will be developed further to be made a larger platform dimensions and capability of transport.

Abstract

Konsumsi energi yang berasal dari bahan bakar fosil yang semakin tinggi dan ketersediannya di alam yang terbatas sehingga jumlahnya makin lama semakin berkurang, memaksa orang untuk mencari alternatif sumber energi lain. Energi angin menjadi salah satu energi alternatif yang penting dan diperhitungkan sejak adanya krisis energi dan isu lingkungan (polusi udara) akibat penggunaan bahan bakar fosil. Energi angin dimanfaatkan dengan cara mengubah gerakan angin menjadi energi listrik dengan turbin angin (wind turbine). Banyak turbin angin dengan skala besar yang telah dibuat atau dikembangkan di berbagai negara karena terbukti sangat efektif untuk menghasilkan energi listrik. Turbin angin skala kecil juga ikut dibuat dan dikembangkan hingga saat ini karena beberapa kelebihannya jika dibandingkan dengan turbin angin skala besar. Kelebihan itu diantaranya tidak terbatasnya daerah atau lokasi pemasangan turbin angin karena ukurannya yang kecil sehingga dapat ditempatkan di daerah seperti perkotaan. Untuk turbin angin skala kecil, jenis vertical axis wind turbine (vawt) sangatlah cocok digunakan di daerah perkotaan karena karakteristik VAWT yang dapat bergerak tanpa tergantung arah angin, hal ini sesuai dengan karakteristik angin perkotaan. Selain itu, VAWT dapat bergerak dan menghasilkan energi listrik pada kondisi kecepatan angin yang rendah. Penelitian ini fokus pada perancangan VAWT skala kecil yang dapat diaplikasikan pada kecepatan angin rendah dan berubah-ubah arah seperti karakteristik angin di perkotaan Indonesia serta analisis aerodinamika menggunakan metode double-multiple stream-tube (DMS).

Abstract

Technology makes it easy to get various information. Various sources can be easily accessed. The speed of providing up-to-date information on social media has become one of the necessities of late. Indirectly assist the dissemination of various information in Indonesia. Technological updates make no geographical barrier, norms, ethical boundaries, less visible. The various facilities offered will have a higher value if the truth of the information can be accounted for. On the other hand as a human being still has inherent human rights, as well as citizens. Therefore, in accessing, utilizing and disseminating various information obtained required a filter called information literacy. Anyone who has had information literacy does not easily disseminate information without first checking the truth. Distribution of various information that is correct and polite will make the recipient of information reasoning well so it is not easy to be hooked to do something unsettling. Thus, information literacy is essential to support national resistance.Keywords: technology, information literacy, national resistance.
