Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of stop motion technique in teaching subnetting with Variable Length Subnet Mask (VLSM) through multimedia-based learning. Subnetting, particularly with VLSM, is often perceived as a complex and challenging topic for students in the field of computer networking. Thus, this study focuses on the development and evaluation of instructional materials that use stop motion technique to visually and interactively explain subnetting concepts. The methodology involves designing and creating stop motion videos that illustrate the steps of subnetting with VLSM. These videos are then integrated into a multimedia learning module accessible to students. The effectiveness of using stop motion videos in enhancing students' understanding and skills in subnetting is evaluated through case studies and surveys. The results indicate that the use of stop motion technique significantly facilitates clearer and more engaging comprehension of subnetting with VLSM. Students exposed to multimedia learning materials with stop motion technique demonstrate a notable improvement in their understanding and application of subnetting compared to traditional methods. The study concludes that stop motion is an effective tool in teaching networking techniques, positively impacting student engagement and learning outcomes.Keywords: stop motion, subnetting, Variable Length Subnet Mask (VLSM), multimedia learning

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to improve the quality of digital images without losing important details, such as object edges, while also developing efficient and user- friendly software for image processing. Bilateral filtering is a non-linear filtering method used to reduce noise in images while preserving edge details. This filter works by combining smoothing based on spatial proximity and pixel intensity similarity. Thus, bilateral filtering is effective in reducing noise without blurring the important edges of the image. This research develops an application that can open, process, and save digital images, allowing users to practically reduce noise in images. The results show that bilateral filtering can significantly enhance digital image quality with substantial noise reduction, although certain types of noise may require further parameter adjustments for optimal results. Keywords: Bilateral Filtering, Digital Image, Noise, Visual Basic, Image Processing.

Abstract

PT. Indonesia Comnets Plus (ICON PLUS) SBU West Java Region in the Development and Activation Division requires an application that can improve efficiency in data processing because previous data was processed manually and not integrated. The purpose of this study is to design and implement a web-based project management application using the Laravel framework and using the agile scrum writing method. The stages carried out from the beginning are planning the project (Project Planning), then creating a product backlog, then doing sprint planning, doing sprints, doing daily scrums, doing sprint reviews, which design is implemented. After the system is built, testing is carried out on the system using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results of the design of the web-based project management application in the development and activation division produce 4 user actors, namely Super Admin, Staff, Maintenance, and Technicians. The implementation of this system utilizes information technology by optimizing management to manage data efficiently, access information quickly, and facilitate communication between parties involved in managing the web-based project management application in the development and activation division. Keywords: project management, agile scrum method, data processing efficiency

Abstract

PT Indonesia Comnets Plus (ICON+) Regional West Java SBU requires improved efficiency in managing operational vehicle rentals, which was previously done manually. This study aims to design and implement a web-based vehicle rental system using the Laravel framework to simplify the rental process and data management. The system is designed based on 107 functional requirements and 15 non-functional requirements, developed using the agile scrum approach, which includes five stages: 1) sprint planning, 2) system development, 3) testing, 4) sprint review, and 5) deployment. The testing was conducted using Blackbox Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results of the study show that the implemented system successfully enhances operational efficiency, minimizes the risk of errors, and facilitates monitoring vehicle usage through an integrated dashboard. The UAT results indicate that the system falls under the "Strongly Agree" category, with functionality at 86.8%, reliability at 88.5%, usability at 90%, and efficiency at 93.6%, with an overall rating of 89.41%. These results suggest that the system meets the expected quality characteristics and effectively supports operational processes. Keywords: efficiency vehicle rental system, agile scrum, operational efficiency, Laravel framework, digitalization of vehicle rentals

Abstract

Website-based student offense monitoring information system is a web designed with the aim of monitoring student offenses at SMKN 2 Padang Panjang. The purpose of this information system is to provide accurate, fast and more efficient and effective information about student offenses, and assist schools in taking appropriate action. In its development, this information system uses the PHP programming language, MySQL as a database, and the Laravel framework as a web development tool. The features in this information system are student profile data collection, teacher account registration, and management of student offenses by teachers and admins. With this information system, it is also expected to increase student discipline in carrying out the rules that have been set at school. Keywords: Information System, Monitoring, Violation, Student, Web, Laravel Framework
