Abstract

The main goal of this research is in order to know more about the appreciation of the listener to the program of Funkyndo Request in radio Ninetyniners. The research method that used is a quantitative description. The data gathering were done by using an observation, polling, interview, bibliography review. Sample determining was gained by sampling purposive because the taken sample based on criteria of twice song request and send message while the observer search and had already played role actively for about two years (2004 until 2006). Therefore the taken amounts of respondent are 84 person. The result depicts, that the cognitive as pact of respondent have already known about Funkyndo Request in radio Ninetyniners in a generally. The emotional aspect show, that generally respondent are satisfied of Funkyndo Request program. In this case, respondent level satisfaction is not maximal yet. That is mean, there is respondent necessary is not fulfill yet according to their request. Evaluative aspect show, that generally respondent have given a good mark toward the Funkyndo Request. In this case respondent evaluate that there is weakness in the program. In program duration respondent consider needed to add broadcast time more than two hours. Its means allowed more chance the listener for participating. Beside that respondent evaluate is not suitable in placed program time. It is caused by the time decided is 09.00-11.00 WIB coincident convenience. Therefore, regarding listener’s appreciation suggested to make a change and to add time program.

Abstract

This research revealed an ecological adaptation and coping strategy of local community under conflict context between the community and government and the research took conflict case between local community and Halimun Salak Mountain National Park. Ultimate goal of the research was to recognize many factors affected community coping strategy and to design ecological adaptation model allowed community livelihood under wellbeing and maintained sustainable environment. Model of ecological adaptation and coping strategy formulated in the first year completed in the second year by including forest management policy and sustainable education. The model implemented with action research through natural resource management and livelihood environmental education for the local community and hopefully, the model will become an important media in positioning the local community in a significant role of forest manager and superintendent.

Abstract

The present research is aimed to: 1. identify individual perception or attitudes towards ’Liputan 6 Petang SCTV’, a news program with its motto: actual, critical and trustworthy. (2) identify the interrelation between individual characteristic with audiences’ opinions towards the motto of actual, critical and trustworthy (3) identify relationship between communication attitudes and broadcasting design towards audiences’ opinion on the Liputan 6 Petang’s motto of actual, critical and trustworthy (4) identify attitudes and reactions with audiences’ opinion towards the Liputan 6 Petang’s motto of actual, critical and trustworthy. This research utilizes correlation description research method and 150 samples. A number of variables that measured including respondents’ characteristics, communications attitudes, broadcasting design, audiences’ opinions towards Liputan 6 Petang’s motto, as well as audiences’ reaction after viewing Liputan 6 Petang. Data were analysed based on Spearman correlation coefficient. Research findings show that: 1. there is a correlation between audiences’ characteristics in Jabotabek region with some parts of opinions of Liputan 6 Petang’s motto. 2. There is a significant correlation between audiences’ communication attitudes towards Liputan 6 Petang’s motto 3. In general there is a correlation between program design with Jabotabek audiences’ opinion towards Liputan 6 Petang’s motto. 4. There is a significant correlation a part of audiences’ opinions towards Liputan 6 Petang SCTV with audiences’ attitudes and reactions.

Abstract

Aim of the study was to analyze food consumption and socio-economic parameters in order for determine starvation indicators. The study was designed in a cross sectional method and samples collected in gradual cluster. First cluster consisted of four sub districts with eight selected-villages and as many as 233 samples were withdrawn from the eight villages for analyzing in discrimination method. If rice were used as starvation indicator, 48.5% of samples suffered starvation. The study resulted that 85% of the samples ate twice daily while 15% of the samples ate three times in a day. According to frequency of food consumption as starvation indicator, the samples did not suffer from starvation. In addition, the study showed that 45.8% samples of city areas which the member more than four people suffered starvation and so did the 68.1% samples lived in villages which the member more than four people. Moreover, 15% of husband which bachelor degree holders lived in city areas and 1.8% of husband which bachelor degree holders lived in villages did not suffer from starvation. As many as 45% of heads of families whose work as government employees at city areas and 2.7% of heads of families whose work as government employees at villages did not suffered from starvation. Based on food expenses criteria used as a starvation indicator, 32.5% samples lived at city areas and 83.2% samples lived at villages were suffer from starvation. The study showed that high sensitivity at either cities or villages occurred on bachelor degree holders and government employee’s criteria, and contrary, the high specificity at either cities or villages occurred on government employee’s criteria when food expenses criteria used as a gold standard

Abstract

The fiscal policy of in the form of food subsidy that had been set by the government contained in Budget of the State. The main problem is the effort to respond to a variety of policy issues on agriculture subsidies that encourage changes in economic growth, the amount of labour absorption, income distribution, and poverty in rural and urban households. The study aimed to analyse the impact of fiscal policy on major issues above. CGE approach is a method of analysis used. The analysis showed that the impact fiscal policy in the form of food subsidies to the economy, especially macroeconomic indicators to improve national economic growth in both the short and long term; gives a higher impact of the increasing number of employment categories in the sectors of agriculture and agriculture-based industries in both urban and rural areas. That policy has a number of labour absorption capacity and increased real income at the household level in rural and urban areas for short and long term. The impact on poverty when viewed from the poverty incidence, poverty depth and severity of poverty shows that, in the short and long term shows households poverty reduction in the rural areas tend to be higher than the households poverty reduction in urban areas. The implication is food subsidy policy is quite effective in improving income distribution and poverty reduction especially in rural households. This suggests that in order for effective implementation of this policy is better, it is necessary to improve market structures in both the rural and urban areas. Efforts to increase the absorption of the workforce and reduce inequality of income distribution at household level in rural and urban areas is necessary to improve the macro-economic growth through a combination of a variety of other fiscal policies, especially fiscal policy in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing the effects of political advertising media exposure, political advertising message, and message and political advertising media exposure on the beginner voter behaviors. This research had been designed in a correlation survey research and had been conducted at Kabupaten Sukabumi. Research population consisted of the beginner voter of students in high school of SMAN 1 Parungkuda in Regent and Vice Regent Election at Sukabumi District in 2010, and 121 students were determined as the research samples with a simple random sampling method. The collected data were analyzed with Pearson’s product moment correlation and multiple regression analysis. Result of the research showed that the voting behaviors of the beginner voter were significantly affected (P<0.05) by the advertising media exposure, the political advertising media message, and both the political advertising media exposure and advertising media messages

Abstract

When decentralization policy applied, almost often actors with different in background and identity compete for local political-economic sources. In this competition, among actor do clash and applying any strategy in order for winning the clash and establishing actor power. In this case, proposed question were what factors create actor clash space under local political-economic arenas did? Who were and how did the clash happen among the actors under local political-economic arenas? And then, how the clash strategy implemented by the actors in order for winning the clash happened under local political-economic arena was? In order for answering the all questions; the study used a qualitative methodology of non-positivistic paradigm under a structuralism- constructivism perspective approach. Study analysis unit was actor located at Kendari, South-East Sulawesi. Data were collected by in-depth interview, structured interview, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) applied to the actor with different ethnics (Tolaki, Muna, Buton, dan Bugis) and professions (politicians, bureaucrats, academicians, and NGO activists). Results of the study revealed that in order for recognizing the clash, it was important that the actor practices at local political-economic arena be understood. There were three known actor practices, namely, practices in ethnic power culture, practices in organizing identity economic, and practices in identity politics. Thus, there were three arena spaces of the actors as followed: (1) clash space for symbol of economic power, (2) clash space for symbol of political power, and (3) clash space for political- economic powers. In such strategy involved in reproduction symbol, investment symbol, reproduction expression, alliance development, economic invasion, expression support, symbol infiltration, power invasion, and symbol support.

Abstract

Profit is one of business successful indicators of an enterprise. The enterprise profit was affected by managerial capability of a businessman. This research aimed at revealing businessman potency and the effect of the managerial capability on profitability of shoe maker at Kecamatan Ciomas Kabupaten Bogor. The research method applied qualitative descriptive and correlation analyses. The research result concluded that shoe maker at Kecamatan Ciomas Kabupaten Bogor owned a potency to be developed based on natural, human, and technology resources as well as public acquisition and geographically as tourism area. In addition, the shoe maker owned a good managerial capability (human resource, financial, marketing, and operational managements). The managerial capability affected on profitability of shoe makers at Kecamatan Ciomas Kabupaten Bogor.
