Abstract

In this paper, described the condenser kinerjance analysis before and after overhoul. Plant is used as object of research is power plant PT. Indonesia Power UJB Lontar Banten Unit 3. The power plant consists of three units, the capasity each of 315 MW. Power plant Lontar Banten works by using cycle rankine. Condensers used are surface condenser, where the steam and cooling water separately. The efficiency of the condenser is affected by the value of heat rate, heat condenser, a decrease in the average logarithmic temperature, cleanliness factor. Condenser heat is calculated by heat balance approach and condenser heat rejection. The data used in this study is data operations in 2015 (Juni 2015 and Oktober 2015). From the analysis of the obtained results that the increased efficiency of the condenser by 10% from 43.6% to 53.6% after the overhoul. Increasing the efficiency of the condenser is affected by the decrease in heat rate 5.32 %, decrease condenser heat 7.03 %, decrease the average temperature logarithmic 8.11 %, improved cleanliness factor of 22.91 %. From these results indicate that the activity overhoul effectively improve the efficiency of the condenser

Abstract

The Importance of considering the literature of study the effect of different boundary conditions, strain-rate effects, and the influence of inertia in predecting the response of the such systems is demonstrated Under Impact conditions it is shown that a cluster of such tubes is subjectd to a shock wave which travels through the system. These experimental results compare favorably with numerical-structural shock-wave-thoery prediction.

Abstract

Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) is one of the most important equipments in Gas and Steam Power Plants Semarang that have Hp economizer which serves as heater of boiler feed water before it goes to kettle drum and evaporator, so that evaporation process would be more easy with utilizing high temperature exhaust gas from HRSG. But, frequently issue that often arise is shutdown occurrence because of damaged or leaked some tube. It is an issue that has to be solved. In this reaserch, analysis focused to identify material of the unbroken tube to perfome examination of chemical composition of the tube, so the characteristics of the material would be known. The characteristics of material could be known by elements that were contained of that material. From that characteristics, worthiness of the material would be known where the power refers to existing standard and discussion of the reasearh has be supported by a good research meathod

Abstract

One method to improve the performance of vapor compression refrigeration system using subcooling. The liquid line suction heat exchanger (LLHX) sub-cooler is a method to increase the cooling capacity of the evaporator by lowering temperature at the condenser outlet. LLHX always Increased effect of refrigeration, work of compressor and heat rejected in the condenser. The results Showed that LLHX lowering condenser exit temperature and exit temperature compressor increases as a result of superheat. LLHX exit temperature compressor with stable at 28oC compared to 16oC on the operation without LLHX in 60 minutes. The experimental results also showed that the evaporation temperature decreases of 15.2 with the addition LLHX be 17.4oC. and the latter can increase the value of COP of 2.85 until 3.5.

Abstract

The heat treatment is a combination of heating and cooling operations to metals or alloys in solid state at a certain time interval detention. This heat treatment is given on the metal or alloy to obtain certain properties. The heat treatment process varies depending on the purpose of the provision of heat treatment itself, which commonly refers to the mechanical properties and microstructure of the material. In this study, we want to know is the effect of heat treatment on mechanical properties and microstructure happened. The heat treatment process is carried out by the method of quenching and tempering method, performed at the beginning of the workpiece AISI4340 and medium carbon steel and mechanical testing is performed tensile test, hardness test rockwell, and testing of microstructure.

Abstract

Utilization of water as electrical energy is a form of exploitation of natural resources as a renewable energy that is free of smoke and fuel. Mrawu river, Giritirta located in the village, district Pejawaran, Banjarnegara, Central Java has the potential for the development of Micro Hydro Power Plant. In designing this Micro Hydro , rapid optimum diameter pipe ( penstock ) D = 0.42 m , 52 m length of pipe , and the pipe thickness t = 10 mm , the author uses Crossflow turbine , with a design quantity Q = 0.35 m3 / s , and Head H = 14.5 m . Obtained power generated by P = 30 kW . With these data Main dimensions planned this crossflow turbine that is, the outside diameter D1 = 0.25 m runner , the inside diameter D2 = 0.17 m , width arm turbine bo = 0.4 m , the number of blades Z = 22 blade and shaft diameter Dp = 50 mm.

Abstract

In many real situations, the estimated demand is very uncertain. This uncertainty has the tendency to greater degree for next coming period of time. Inefficiency of order management can give impact to customer service, order cycle time and operational costs for an order. Order management is a series of related to the management of customer orders using the standard order document. The main focus of this research is the development model of the planning system in coordination function to allocate production orders into the use of different capacities. The test uses three different distribution and calculating the total cost for 30 periods. The goal is to achieve an efficient and effective system taking into account the availability of generating capacity and minimize total costs of production and delivery. Based on experiments with a number of orders, the calculation of the total cost of the proposed method in accordance with the total cost equation. The total cost of the trial simulation on each distribution is influenced by the number of demands in each period.
