Abstract

The ground water exploitation and the AMDK factory construction of PT. Investama at Darmaga and Pasawahan Village, Sub-District of Cisalak will raise effects towards the environment. Hence the needs of EIA study is very crucial to minimize all the effects that will appear in the future to support sustainable development.

Abstract

The study of Quaternary deposits was conducted using analyses of sedimentology and stratigraphy of thirteen boreholes obtained along the west to the east traverse, which was approximately parallel to the valley of Duren river, not far from the Duren Village between Bikang and Gadung villages, District of South Bangka, Province of Bangka-Belitung. The depth of each borehole varies from 2.20 to 30.10 m.Studies on Quaternary deposits revealed five facies which represented, encompassing alluvial fan (FKa), river channel (FAs), floodplain (FDb), lake/lacustrine (FDn), and swamp (FRw) depositional environments. Based on the result of correlation of the lateral and vertical variation of the facies, four intervals of the deposition (IP I-IV) were recognised. Each of the interval exhibits the variation of the depositional environment under the control of tectonic and climatic changes. The tectonic activities and climatic changes which controlled the deposition were recorded as four episode stages. These respective episodes were, (1) dry climate with tectonic effects, (2) sub humid climate which was influenced by fault in the west, (3) humid to sub-humid climate which was followed by active of the three faults on the basin, and (4) dry climate without being influenced by tectonics.

Abstract

The southern part of Bandung area available some geo-tourism, both was developed or not yet. Wayang Mount area and surrounding are one another that fully developed not yet. That area has geological phenomena and natural preserve. The objective of research is supporting geological information available for tourism developing at Wayang Mount area and surrounding. Main theme of research is modeling of tourism development that cares with environment. Base on literatures study, Bandung area has potency and constraint in connection with area development. That two aspects cause environmental problem that necessary integrated management. Some methods are used to get data; among other are literature study, field survey, and laboratory analysis. Probabilistic approach is used for data analysis.Research result show Wayang Mount area and surrounding is product of Quaternary volcanic. It has gentle to very steeply with elevation about from 1,425 to 2,198 meters from sea level. The drainage patterns are sub-radier, sub-dendritic, sub-parallel, and sub-rectangular. Stream order from 1 to 5 with drainage density reach 8.3 km / square km. Lithology is product of earlier Pleistocene to Holocene volcanic. That lithology consist volcanic breccia, tuff, and lava. A part of them hydrothermal altered and weathered. Base on analysis of microscopic, geochemistry and physic-mechanic show rock and weathering result’s can studied with measured. The available of hot spring in Wayang Mount area is controlled by structure pattern and active tectonic. The tourism development at Wayang Mount and vicinity is supported by strategic location, some geological phenomena, exquisite view, etc. That area is suitable for geo-tourism and agro-tourism development. The constraint aspect in development program is complicated environmental problem. Those problems are Wayang Mount area is natural preserve and main water resource of Citarum River.

Abstract

Luk Ulo Melange Complex is situated in Central Java, this complex is characterized by the occurrence of Tertiary and Pre-Tertiary rocks as fragments embedded in sheared clay matrix. The fragments consist of ophiolite, metamorphic, chert and carbonate rocks. This research is focused to high pressure metamorphic rock which is represented by glaucophane schist. The rocks consists of albite, augite and ferroaugite, Mg – cataphorite, glaucophane, ferrian and crossite, almandine spesartine, quartz; and rarely can be observed lawsonite, hornblende, tremolite and actinolite. The latter mineral assemblage indicates that the rock was formed at 580oC - 500oC and 14,5 - 4 kbar. Temperature and pressure obtained from glaucophane schist indicated that the rock came from the lower interval of the subduction environment and the possibility have already been in retrograde stage. This is showed by recrystallization of amphibole-glaucophane to sericite or chlorite, and chlorite after garnet. This may represent the retrograde stage in lower temperature-pressure conditions. This data explains the accretion and exhumation history of high pressure metamorphic rocks from subduction depth to the surface condition.

Abstract

Volcanic rock units of the Kalipalung, Kalibabak, and Lekopiko Formations are well cropped out at East Lombok area, composed predominantly of volcanic breccias. Grainsize analysis of selected volcanic breccias matrix show a similarity characters on the Kalipalung and Kalibabak Formation. On the other hand, a real difference founded between these formations with the Lekopiko Formation.

Abstract

Land use in spatial planning, often forgetting that the land carrying capacity refers to the thematic maps. The number of land suitability analysis on spatial planning that is not appropriate, and often result in the basic physical problems. Basic physical problems will interfere the facilities and infrastructure which supporting economic activity, resulting in financing that sometimes is not economical.
