Abstract

In order to develop the resilient agricultural be required the professional agricultural officers, creative , innovative , and trustworthy in the field setting, counseling services and appropriate qualifications and specifications necessary for the development of sustainable agriculture. Productivity is influenced by individual, social work environment, and work conditions factors. Creativity is influenced by encouragement from outside the self, such as control or supervision by the leadership and service provided a relevant agencies. The aims of this study are to analyze (1) the influence of the supervision by the Food Security and Agricultural Counseling (BKPLUH) on the productivity of agricultural instructur, (2) the effect of the service provided by the Food Security and Agricultural Counseling (BKPLUH) on the productivity of agricultural instructur, (3) the influence of supervision and services provided by the Food Security and Agricultural Counseling (BKPLUH)  on the productivity of agricultural instructur. The results shows that the positive effect between control and productivity of 0.269 but is very weak at only 0,072 at 5 percent confidence level. There is a positive effect between BKPLUH services on the productivity of 0.583 and strength are approximately 0.383 with a confidence level of 5 percent. There is positive effect of BKPLUH supervision and services on the work productivity for 0.017 and 0.584. Keywords : Agricultural Counseling, Productivity, Supervision

Abstract

Paddy is a food ingredient that produces rice which is the staple food lndonesian population that are not easily replaced by other feed ingredients. Rice is a social commodity therefore changes in rice would be so easy mepengaruhi other social and economic life. Therefore the government's attention to rice supply be a program priorities. The research objectives are: 1). to assess the availability of subsidized fertilizer to rice cultivation needs in order to achieve food security at Deli Serdang Regency, 2) to assess the fertilizer subsidy will increase the rice productivity at Deli Serdang Regency, 3) to assess the fertilizer subsidy will increase rice production in Deli Serdang Regency .The results of this study shows that : 1) the provision of fertilizer subsidies for Deli Serdang Regency is very supportive of the needs of rice cultivation in order to achieve food security at Deli Serdang Regency, 2) the fertilizer subsidy for the Deli Serdang Regency had been increased the land productivity per hectare, 3) the fertilizer subsidy for the Deli Serdang Regency had been increased the rice production at Deli Serdang Regency. The availability of subsidized fertilizer to food security will increase the productivity of land and increase the production of rice based on the SWOT analysis, then the realization of food security in Deli Serdang Regency. Keywords: availability of fertilizer subsidies, food security, SWOT

Abstract

The rubber is one of the plantation commodity which is the source of livelihood for 1.6 million peasant families, as well as the second largest source of foreign exchange after palm oil and also employers as well as suppliers of various raw materials in the domestic rubber industry. As a commodity plantation, in the development, are required to contribute to optimal results both for the welfare of the community and the sustainability of its business . The objectives of this study  are: to determine the external and internal strategic factors that influence the development of smallholder rubber agribusiness in South Tapanuli, to determining the strategic formulation of smallholder rubber development of agribusiness in South Tapanuli, and construct the strategic priority to develop agribusiness in smallholder rubber South Tapanuli .From the analysis, can be conclusions that: there were 13 external strategic factors and 10 internal strategic factors affecting the development of smallholder rubber agribusiness in South Tapanuli. The results of analysis by the SWOT matrix and QSPM analysis can be recommended six priority smallholder rubber agribusiness development strategy and medium term and six long-term strategic priorities to be diimplemerrtasikan by policy makers to agribusiness development of smallholder rubber in South Tapanuli . Abstract

The study was conducted at the Labuhan Deli Village, Medan Marelan District which is one of the shrimp farming locations at the Medan City, starts from April to May 2008. The purpose of research is to analyze how the effect of work ability, work motivation and support work on the productivity of farmers in the cultivation of shrimp ponds at the Medan City. The study used descriptive method through surveys. The data analyzed by multiple regression models of Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and developed with path analysis to determine the work ability, work motivation and support work affect the work productivity. The data used are primary data by research and secondary data from reports of the Marine Fisheries Service of Medan City, the Department of Marine and Fisheries and from other sources related to this thesis. To determine the relationship between work ability, work motivation and support employment of labor productivity simultanously by F-test, while partially by t-test. The number of fish farmers as respondents was 35 from 40 populations taken by simple random sampling. Instruments used to collect data by questionnaire with a scoring system number 1 to number 5 (Likert Scale). The results showed that the variables work ability, work motivation and support work simultanously had a positively and significant effect on labor productivity, that’s mean that if the work ability, work motivation and support improved simultan then the labor productivity of fish farmer will increase significantly. Partially, the ability to work and the work motivation had a significantly effect on labor productivity. Keywords : productivity, of ordinary least square (OLS), tiger shrimp

Abstract
