Silogisme : Kajian Ilmu Matematika dan Pembelajarannya, adalah sebuah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo (Unmuh Ponorogo) bekerjasama dengan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun (Juni dan Desember), berisikan enam sampai sepuluh artikel dan menerima artikel di bidang kajian ilmu matematika (pendidikan dan murni) dengan metodologi penelitian yang memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan untuk publikasi. Naskah artikel bisa berasal dari para peneliti, akademisi, praktisi, dan pemerhati bidang ilmu matematika.

Abstract

This research is intended to describe the students concept of the ring in the course of algebra structure 2 in terms of creative thinking in upper students. This research is included in this type of qualitative research. The subject of the study is a mathematics student who has taken the course of Structure Algebra 2 (Ring Theory). The subjects in this study are three students who have high math skills. Instrument  used in research 1) Test of Concept of Ring Concept (TPKR), 2) Interview Guidelines, 3) Creative Thinking Rubric, 4) Recording Equipment, 5) Documentation. Based on the results of the study and discussion, the findings involving the students' concept of the ring in the course of algebraic structure 2 in the upper sstudent can solve the problem in terms of explaining the associative nature, explaining the nature of the identity element, explaining the nature of each element having a good inverse. However, I can not only use one solution only, but it is less diverging and able to find other solutions. At the student level still not able to meet the original indicators in creative thinking

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the influence of social usage of Facebook on student learning outcomes, (2) student response in solving problems using Facebook and (3) obstacles and suggestions in implementing learning using social networking site Facebook. This finding is useful for educators to make Facebook as one of the media that can be used in teaching. This study is a combined study between quantitative and qualitative research. Quantitative research methods with the use of quasi-experimental, while the qualitative data obtained from the observation data and questionnaire responses of students about learning using Facebook media. Based on the results of pre test and post test analysis, concluded that the pre test and post test data are normally distributed so that t-test can be performed. Based on the calculation obtained and , because  concluded there is influence of the use of Facebook as a medium of learning on student learning outcomes, student responses to learning through the media Facebook can be quite good enough indikasinya is the number of comments from students related to questions posted, as many as 13 students or 76% expressed happy with learning using Facebook,  10 students or 59% who stated more freely in convey opinions, 11 students or 65% who claimed to understand the material using Facebook, 14 students or 82% who expressed interested in solving the problem through Facebook, and 12 students or 71% who said can understand the strategies in solving problems using Facebook. While the obstacles faced by most students are poor networks, limited quota and difficulty in expressing opinions through writing

Abstract

AbstractThis research is a class action research (CAR) with research subject of student of semester 3 of mathematics education of STKIP Muhammadiyah Kuningan. This study aims to determine the implementation of peer teaching method (peer tutoring) in the subjects of Kapita Selekta Mathematics for Junior High Schooll students of third semester of STKIP Muhammadiyah Kuningan to improve students' understanding of the lattice national test about the mathematics of junior high school. In the pre test the average score achieved was 59.17, the students understanding about the lattice about the mathematics of junior high school at the time of pre test of 66.67 including good criteria and 33.33% including enough criteria. In post test cycle I average value is 75,83, student understanding about lattice about mathematics of junior high school at post test cycle I as much 66,67 including criteria very good and 33,33% including good criterion. In post test cycle II average value is 75,83, student understanding about lattice about UN mathematics junior high school at post test cycle as much as 66,67 including criteria very good and 33,33% including good criterion. The average increase that occurred from pre-test to post-test cycle II that is equal to 16,67 or equal to 28,17%. Keyword: CAR, peer teaching, understanding math.

Abstract

Self confidence in learning must be owned by students. However, the fact that happened to the students of semester 1 year 2016/2017 in Fondasi Matematika course still not maximal. Teori Bilangan is a course given to students of the second semester of mathematics education program at Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. The purpose of this research is to increase students' self confidence in the subject of Teori Bilangan using Two Stay Two Stray learning model. Thus it is expected that students will be more confident in learning in other subjects in Mathematics Education program. This classroom action research is conducted in two cycles. Results of data analysis before the implementation of the study is 18.52% of the overall students who have high confidence. After analyzing the final data of cycle 2, it is found that the percentage of students who do not have high confidence is 22.22%. The TSTS steps used to improve students' self-confidence is with the improvement effort in the form of lecturers providing assistance to groups that have difficulty in solving the LKM problem..

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Flat space is part of the geometry that has an important role in applied mathematics and a lot in life, so understanding geometry concepts need to be taught to students early on. Reality on the ground shows that the students' understanding of the concept of geometry is still low. One of the students' a difficulty in understanding the geometry is influenced by the presentation of the material is less an impression of the teacher to the students. Students are not given the opportunity to discover the concept of geometry independently based on the characteristics of the stages of thinking. To overcome the difficulties of the students in learning geometry, how that can be achieved is by the application of the van Hiele theory.Key Words: flat space, Van Hiele theory learning phaseABSTRAK. Bangun ruang sisi datar merupakan bagian dari geometri yang mempunyai peranan penting dalam matematika dan banyak diterapkan dalam kehidupan, sehingga pemahaman konsep bangun ruang perlu diajarkan pada siswa sejak dini. Kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep bangun ruang masih rendah. Salah satu faktor kesulitan siswa dalam memahami bangun ruang dipengaruhi oleh penyajian materi dari guru kurang membekas bagi siswa. Siswa tidak diberi kesempatan untuk menemukan konsep bangun ruang secara mandiri berdasarkan karakteristik tahap berpikirnya. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan-kesulitan siswa dalam belajar geometri tersebut, cara yang dapat ditempuh adalah dengan penerapan teori van Hiele.Kata Kunci: bangun ruang sisi datar, fase belajar model Van Hiele
