Abstract

Al-ṣâwî’s attitude toward Isrâ’îlîyât history (attitude in the book of ḥâshiyah) is reflected in his collection of such histories. In many interpretations, Isrâ’îlîyât’s history is widely cited, but the quotation does not include any evidence of the truth of the story, nor the quality of the history. In this article, the author examines al-ṣâwî’s attitude toward the Isrâ’îlîyât story contained in ḥâshiyah al-ṣâwî’s alâ Tafsîr Jalâlayn. This study aimed to find out whether al-Sawi was critical of the Israeli story. The author uses the library reseach method (literature). To obtain information from various sources, the author uses the documentation method then analyzes the data using a discourse analysis method developed by Tuen A.van Djijk namely macro structure, superstructure, and microstructure. The results of this study reveal that al-Sawi does not always provide comments on the quoted Isra'iliyat story. There are several stories that he included in his sanad and gave an explanation of the truth of its history. He also does not display sanad from the history cited. Likewise with the history of the record, sometimes al-Sawi comments, but also the opposite.Keyword: Israiliyyat, attitude of al-ṣâwî, and ḥâshiyah al-ṣâwî

Abstract

Qur’an as self-referential text within the word Quran and Qul represents the moral dimension involved. It is a dimension when the Quran frequently is applied as a narrative object in daily life by which, according to Frédéric Deny, it is called Performative. In aesthetic reception discourse, Qur’an as a text is placed as an object approached beautifully. For instance, it’s voiced by sound and rhythm called murattal or Mujawwad. The oldest quranic recording is found in 1855 by S Hurgronje in which it was a starting point for the Quran to recept digitally in media matters. Around 2000, Quranic Aesthetic reception in media tools Was widespread massively, then reading Qur’an in this time using Rythm isn't a matter to be coached directly. By phenomenological approach, this research tries to mapping the typology as well as the history of the reader (Qori) who changes to use social media as a listener and appreciator by uploading his/her reading. The result shows that three aspects are influencing the reader's acts in social media, 1) to show the existence of the Quran 2) religious narcism, 3) authoritative freedom. Keyword: Performative, Aesthetic Reception, Qari’, Social Media

Abstract

Sufi interpretation is an important part in expressing the meaning contained in the Qur’an, there is the meaning of outer and inner meaning. The meaning of outer is the outside of textual meaning that is the spiritual area. Sufi interpretation does not mean leaving the aspect of outer or aspects of language, but at the same time combing the inner aspect, this also happens in the book of Tafsir Fayd al-Rahman by KH. Shalih Darat. The intended orientation in Sufiinterpretation is more about overcoming mental problems that often forget the essence of essential life. The inner meaning will provide added value in matters of worship, especially in the interpretation of the letter (Q.S. al-Baqarah: 183). In interpreting the verse KH. Shalih Darat interprets the Isyari, so that the essential inner meaning is obtained to express the social dimensions that encourage the birth of empathy in the family, social, and among humans. So that the container in realizing superior social dimensions in the community needs to increase fasting both in terms of dhohir and in terms of the heart. The approach taken in this study uses a sufistic approach to the theory of Sufi Ishari and Isharah method (Devine Method). The results obtained from the interpretation of the verse parse about fasting there are four things, taqwa which manifests on the dimension of divinity and the human dimension of basyariah, manifests itself in the form of love between humans, disciplined life and tazqiyah al-Nafs.Keywords: Fasting, Tafsir Faidh al-Rahman, Sufistik Logic

Abstract

The discussion in this paper focuses on the contributions of Ibn Abî Hâtim al-Razi in the Jarh wa Ta'dil Science. This paper comes from library research. The method that used is descriptive-history-analysis. With this intellectual history approach, this paper finds that Ibn Abî Hâtim al-Razi's biggest contribution is seen in some basic theories of jarh wa ta'dil, ie the collective ta'dil which then develops into the theory of “kullu shahabah udul” (all of the companions are fairness), objectification of the evaluation of the narrators of the hadith, and the rating of the narrators of the hadith, both in terms of jarh and ta'dil. Ibn Abi Hatim divided the ranks both on ta'dil or tajrih of hadiths narrators into four levels, those who doubt the critics of the hadith, the fair narrators, the strong history, the content of the report, the religion, the guardianship of the hadith, and the fearful, the truthful and the wizards, but sometimes mistaken, and Being honest and frank, but a lot of things go wrong.Keywordi: Ibn Abî Ḥâtim, Jarḥ, Ta’dîl, Hadis, ‘Udûl

Abstract

This essay tries to explicate how Ibn ‘Aṭâ‘ Allah understands Qur’an within his popular book, al-Ḥikâm. It is not merely his huge opus yet one of several books in which Indonesian Moslems like to learn and discuss. It covers the opened aphorisms stands on three entities, these are Qur’an, hadith, including some habits of Prophet Muhammad and subsequently I opt al-Ḥikâm. As a sample, I am such demanded to come in through his interpretation concerning “will” or kehendak. Ibn ‘Aṭâ‘ Allah, as far as I feel, has deep conception with regard to “will” which is wallowed with dilemma. Sometime, he puts it as something freely owned by human, sometime on the contrary. By that conception, Ibn ‘Aṭâ‘ Allah covets an ideal figure such “superman”—to borrow Nietzsche phrase—as if. A super human that prefer living within dark surrounding to comfort, that is able to reflect his hard problems often and then solve it well. This article thus interests to look further how Ibn ‘Aṭâ‘ Allah’s hermeneutic model, particularly when composing al-Ḥikâm. Who is his target audiences and how does it absorb to daily activities. The essay argues that Ibn ‘Aṭâ‘ Allah’s prescription in approaching Qur’an is going to a couple point, these are what I call as “creative abstraction” and an endeavor to reinvent Quranic mode or “reinvention of Quranic mode”.Keywords: Ibn ‘Aṭâ‘ Allah, the opened hermeneutic, creative abstraction.
