Abstract

This paper provides an explanation of how the use of history textbooks by history teachers or teachers. The use of textbooks needs to be highlighted because textbooks not only function as a source of students learning but also a guide in learning activities used by teachers. Textbooks must be adapted to the needs of students and teachers so that there needs to be a suitability for use for teachers. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative and the data collectiontechnique used is a literature study data obtained from previous reading and research sources. In essence, textbooks have a greatcontribution to the learning of history. Textbooks as a source of learning history in schools can add insight to students so that what previously did not know becomes known. In addition, students can also explore the values in the textbook such as heroic values, nationalism values and patriotism values

Abstract

The Bani Abbasiyah period was the peak of its glory that occurred during the reign of Caliph Harun ar-Rashid and his son Al-Maksum. The Abbasiyah experienced setbacks and destruction when the Mongol invasion appeared, led by Halagu Khan in 1258 H. Types and methods of historical research. This study aims to find out about the golden age and the decline of the Abbasiyah dynasty at that time. In collecting data, the authors use the method of literature research (library research). The collected data is then read and recorded for processing and analysis as research material. The type of data used consists of books, e-books, and articles on websites. The Golden Age of the Abbasiyah dynasty and Islamic culture reached its glory during the Abbasiyah dynasty which emphasized the development of Islamic civilization and culture rather than expanding territory. The factors that resulted in the decline and destruction of the Abbasiyah dynasty were due to two factors, namely internal and external factors. The Abbasiyah dynasty experienced the golden age, excelling in the fields of translation, science, economics, religion, social, military, and also in politics. The decline of the Abbasid dynasty was caused by 2 factors, namely internal and external. From the internal factors of the decline of the Abbasiyah dynasty, the most dominant influence on the decline of the Abbasiyah dynasty was that Muslims abandoned their religious teachings.

Abstract

The writing of this paper aims to determine the application of meaningful learning in history learning. As for the preparation, the author uses the literature method, both book sources and journals found on the internet. In addition, the purpose of the preparation of this work is to explain the importance of meaningful learning in the learning process in schools, besides that the author also applies it in the design of history learning in schools. Seeing that history learning is one of the learning that contains noble values in it, so that by using this meaningful learning strategy students not only get limited knowledge, but the learning results can be applied in solving problems, answering questions, and producing good attitudes and characters of students. Based on the discussion that has been done by the author that Ausubel's learning theory is one of the many learning theories that are the basis for cooperative learning. Ausubel's learning theory is suitable for use in history learning, because the learning process will be more meaningful if students are able to connect the knowledge they have with learning material in the classroom.

Abstract

This research was carried out to increase the independence of students in the process of learning history in class XII IPS SMAN 1 Tapa. Techniques to increase independence with the KLOS method. The KLOS method is used by providing learning materials in the form of incomplete discourses or readings. Certain parts are omitted with the aim of independent learners in the learning process. The results of classroom action research carried out for two cycles on students of class XII IPS SMAN 1 Tapa showed a change in the independence of students in the learning process in class. Based on cycle I and cycle II data, it is clear that there is an increase in students independence in the learning process in class XII IPS SMAN 1 Tapa. This is seen in all aspects in cycle I and then increases in cycle two. The results of the study clearly show that the KLOS method can be used as one of the techniques to increase the independence of studentsin the process of learning the history of international respons material to Indonesian independence

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the comparison of government and education systems in two dynasties, namely the Ummayad dynasty and the Abbasid dynasty. Government and education systems are interrelated things in a country. In the Umayyad and Abbasid dynasties, there were differences in the system of government and education. The researcher uses the library research method, which involves the analysis and synthesis of information from written sources such as books, journals and other materials. The results of this study are to know: (1) Ummayah dynasty system of government, (2) Ummayah dynasty education system, (3) Abbasid dynasty system of government, (4) Abbasid dynasty education system, (5) Comparison of government and education systems in the two periods Ummayad dynasty and Abbasid dynasty.
