Abstract

The study aims to determine (1) the state of social capital businesses agro-industry palm sugar in the buffer zones of protected forest sub district of Bulango Ulu Bone Bolango regency, (2) the state of the business development agro-industry of palm sugar in the buffer zones of protected forest sub district of Bulango Ulu Bone Bolango regency, (3) the role of social capital for the development of agro-industrial enterprises palm sugar in the buffer zone of protected forests Bulango Ulu sub district Bone Bolango regency. This research is quantitative. Sources of data in this research are secondary data from the primary data from questionnaires to farmers. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and regression. These results indicate that (1) Social capital is owned by farmers in a fairly good state because it has an average value of 83.32%. This shows that people in a community of palm sugar craftsmen were able to cooperate with each other and mutual cooperation in achieving the common good in a business that was involved. (2) The Palm Sugar Agro-industry business development in the area of protected forest buffer Bulango Ulu sub district Bone Bolango regency has been running quite well because it has an average value of 76.76%. (3) In partial and simultaneously social trust, social norms, social networks and local wisdom a significant effect on the business development process agro-industry of palm sugar in the buffer area of protected forests Bulango Ulu sub district Bone Bolango regency the determinant value of 79.90%.

Abstract

The research aims to develop an alternative recommendation agribusiness program development paddy rice farming relation to food security in the district was. This research is quantitative. Sources of data in this research is secondary data and primary data from questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the SWOT analysis. These results indicate that Based on the SWOT analysis proves that the strategy of the development of barns through agribusiness development program to support rice farming rice fields of food security in the district was located in quadrant I, which means it supports aggressive strategy or strategies SO. In quadrant I (aggressive) all the potential power that the majority of the district was a farmer who has the experience and motivation of farming is high, the potential for a large area, the production ability is above average, and institutional barns that support, can utilize / seize opportunities demand for rice increases, as well as increased yield harvest with agricultural intensification, so the chances of barns society has the potential to be developed further.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Sumberejo Kecamatan Ngablak yang merupakan salah satu Desa yang bergerak dibidang pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi luas lahan yang ditanami cabai keriting; (2) menentukan secara ilmiah seberapa besar pengaruh faktor-faktor tersebut terhadap luas lahan yang ditanami cabai keriting. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November sampai Desember 2020. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksplanatori dengan metode survey. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 50 responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, faktor luas penguasaan lahan, modal usahatani, tenaga kerja, dan pengalaman berusahatani berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap luas lahan yang ditanami cabai keriting. Sementara harga jual cabai keriting musim tanam lalu dan harga cabai keriting yang akan datang tidak signifikan terhadap luas lahan yang ditanami.

Abstract

The study was conducted to assess the factors that contribute to post harvest losses of farm produces in the Nkwanta Districts, Volta Region, Ghana. Data was collected from 250 farmers in the district using a structured questionnaire. The last item on the questionnaire examined the level of agreement attached to various factors influencing post harvest losses in the district on a five point Likert scale. Multivariate factor analysis method was used in the analysis. The results indicated that about 87.2% of the total respondent experience of post harvest losses and there are five salient factors that influence post harvest losses. Difficulties in market accessibility related factors was the most important factor of all. Another important factors accountable for post harvest losses are lack of knowledge and technology related factors, lack of storage facilities and poor packaging, the poor road network, and labour cost. It is therefore recommended that different forms of training and information should be made available for farmers. Also, the establishment of the factories and storage facilities at farming communities should be put in place in order to reduce post harvest losses by way of processing and storage of the excess produces at the local level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were: 1) Analyzes the factors that influence the development of coconut cultivation in Pohuwato; 2) Coconut farming development strategy in Kabuoaten Pohuwato.The study was conducted in Pohuwato of the month December 2019 until February 2020 with a sample of 40 farmers. The method used is a survey method possible. Analysis of the data used is analysis SWOT. The results showed that the factors that influence the development of coconut in Pohuwato namely internal and external factors that influence the development strategy of the Coconut Pohuwato that internal factors are replaced plant coconut, oil prices often fluctuate, the lack of rejuvenation of coconut plantations and processing farms palm are still traditional. While external factors are unpredictable weather conditions which cause crop failure, there is no pricing dassar coconut and coconut farmers besides farming. The development strategy of coconut in Pohuwato which is located in Quadrant I, which supports the strategy Aggressive or S-O strategy (strenght - opportunity) by using the strength of such experience or the ability of farmers, as well as take advantage of existing opportunities such as coconut plants have good market prospect, to minimize weakness as oil prices frequently fluctuate, then the existing threats as there is no basic pricing oil and erratic climate conditions so that the development of coconut cultivation achieve progress.
