Abstract

Aspek farmakokinetik dan farmakodinamik yang diwakili oleh sifat adsorpsi, distribusi, metabolisme, ekskresi (ADME) merupakan syarat penting suatu obat dapat menuju targetnya. Pada tahun 2021, food and drug administration (FDA) menyetujui 35 senyawa entitas molekul baru (EMB) untuk digunakan sebagai obat di masyarakat. Pada penelitian ini dikaji profil ADME dari senyawa-senyawa EMB tersebut yang meliputi kelarutan, GI absorption, BBB permeant, Lipinski rule of five, bioavailibility score dan synthetic accessibility. Struktur senyawa diperoleh dari basis data Pubchem dan kemudian dihitung profil ADME-nya melalui server SwissADME. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar senyawa memenuhi persyaratan terkait sifat ADME terutama untuk obat-obat yang diadminitrasikan lewat oral.

Abstract

Bakteri Escherichia coli merupakan salah satu bakteri penyebab infeksi dan penyakit yang bersifat patogen. Salah satu cara untuk menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri tersebut maka diperlukan senyawa antibakteri alami. Salah tumbuhan yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri yaitu tanaman kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata L). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan metabolit sekunder ekstrak metanol dan etil asetat daun kirinyuh serta pengaruhnya terhadap zona hambat bakteri Escherichia coli. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode ekstraksi dan metode difusi sumuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol dan etil asetat daun kirinyuh memiliki kandungan metabolit sekunder yaitu flavonoid, alkaloid, terpenoid, saponin dan tanin. Hasil zona hambat terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli untuk esktrak metanol yaitu 21,5 mm dan esktrak etil asetat yaitu 18,5 mm. Diameter zona hambat ekstrak metanol dikategorikan sangat kuat dibandingkan ekstrak etil asetat dengan kategori kuat.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Lake Limboto is a natural resource currently owned by Gorontalo Province. Lake Limboto has played a role as a source of income for fishermen, flood prevention, irrigation water sources and tourism objects. Sediment is sediment that comes from the breakdown of rocks, or biological materials that are transported through a liquid, and solid materials (sediments) that float in, or are deposited in water. This study aims to determine the content of calcium and potassium in the sediment of Limboto lake, straw, and analysis of Ca and K in liquid organic fertilizer from straw and sediment using the AAS method. The results showed that the levels of calcium (Ca) from the three points in the sediments of the Limboto lake met the SNI standards, namely 0.20, 0.37, 0.59%. Meanwhile, the potassium (K) levels from the three points did not meet the SNI standards, namely 0.15, 0.10, 0.13%, different from those obtained from the analysis of the calcium and potassium content of the straw that met the SNI standards of 0.35% and 1.52. %. In liquid organic fertilizer the content of Ca and K from three points yields little, while the results of Ca content meet the SNI standards of 0.04, 0.05, 0.06%, the results of K levels do not meet the SNI standards, namely 0.09, 0.07, 0.08%. Abstract

Daun ketapang (Terminalia catappa L.) merupakan tumbuhan pesisir pantai yang memiliki kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder yaitu flavonoid, alkaloid, steroid, saponin dan tanin yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi senyawa metabolit sekunder daun Terminalia catappa L. dan menguji aktivitas antioksidannya. Metode penelitian eksperimen laboratorium kuantitatif dan kualitatif meliputi ekstraksi, isolasi dan identifikasi senyawa metabolit sekunder menggunakan spektrofotometer FTIR, penetapan total kadar flavonoid dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis, dan uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH. Hasil uji fitokimia ekstrak metanol mengandung senyawa flavonoid, steroid, saponin, tanin dan isolat menunjukkan hasil positif senyawa flavonoid. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan keberadaan gugus fungsi flavonoid dengan adanya pita serapan seperti O-H, C-H aromatik, C-H alifatik, C=O aromatik, C=C aromatik dan C-O alkohol. Hasil pengukuran total kadar flavonoid sebesar 114,65 mgQE/g. Nilai aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak metanol sebesar 460,37 mg AEAC (Ascorbic Acid Equivalent Antioxidant Capacity) /g dan isolat diperoleh sebesar 19,62 mg AEAC/g.

Abstract

Pencemaran limbah di wilayah Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) yang diakibatkan oleh industri baik skala kecil dan industri besar sangat sulit dihindari karena penyebarannya sulit terdeteksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kualitas limbah cair industri kecil menengah (IKM) di DAS Poso yang terletak di Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara. Penelitian dilaksanakan di wilayah DAS Poso Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara. Data kualitas limbah cair diambil dengan metode sampling. Pengambilan sampel limbah cair dilakukan secara langsung di badan air yang sedang dipantau. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada inlet dan outlet. Pengujian parameter fisik dilakukan dilapangan sedangkan parameter kimia dan biologi dilakukan di laboratorium. Hasil analisis menemukan kualitas limbah cair hasil produksi IKM tahu Total Suspended Solid (TSS) tidak memenuhi baku mutu kualitas limbah cair di lokasi inlet. Sedangkan lokasi outlet masih memenuhi standar mutu limbah cair. Tingginya TSS pada kluster IKM tahu berdampak pada meningkatnya indikator kimia berupa Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) dan Chemical Oxygen Demand COD di lokasi inlet IKM tahu. Selanjutnya hasil identifikasi TSS pada wilayah outlet IKM minyak kelapa tidak memenuhi syarat dan berpotensi merusak lingkungan di DAS. Kekeruhan akibat TSS tinggi menimbulkan kemampuan organisme untuk mengurai limbah cair menjadi berkurang dan berdampak pada peningkatan parameter BOD dan COD

Abstract

Cocoa is a rich source of essential minerals and contributes a significant amount of minerals in the human diet. Processed products from cocoa in the form of chocolate are in great demand by almost everyone from various statuses and social groups. The high consumption of chocolate is also not a fact that chocolate is beneficial to human health. The essential minerals (Mn and Zn) in cocoa beans are needed by the human body as a source of minerals, but if excess can be harmful to the body. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of essential trace elements in cocoa beans and their potential as raw materials for food products. The analysis method uses AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry). The results showed the content of micronutrients (Mn and Zn) in cocoa beans at five location points with an average value of 0.8976 mg/100 g and 5.7534 mg/100 g.

Abstract

Sphalerite is a mineral rich in Zinc and Iron is the main source of zinc metal production in the world. The purpose of this study was to determine the mineralization in the Cigudeg area, Bogor Regency, West Java, especially the mineralization of Zinc (Zn) by using mineragraphic analysis. Mineragraphic incision analysis is performed to describe the structure and composition of a mineral, the Physico-chemical properties of the mineral, and the presence of associated minerals in the sample. Based on the test results, the mineral component of sphalerite (ZnS) 40-45% as the most dominant component, often contains inclusions of very fine copper grains measuring less than 1 m to 5 m and quartz (SiO2) 10-15% is granular, as for sulfide ore minerals. Others such as chalcopyrite (CuFeS2), pyrite (FeS2), cuprite (Cu2O), and galena (PbS) are present in small amounts.

Abstract

Diabetes is a degenerative disease characterized by high levels of glucose in the blood. Diabetes can lead to complications if left untreated. Treatment of diabetes can be done pharmacologically (using traditional medicines or synthetic) or non- pharmacologically (accustoming a healthy lifestyle). The use of traditional medicines is relatively cheap compared to synthetic drigs so that can be used as an anti-diabetic is the Jamaica Cherry (Muntingia calabura L.), as it contains secondary metabolites tha act as antidiabetics. Therefore, this present research aimed to determine the as an antidiabetic in male mice. The research methods used were maceration, phytochemical screening, anti-diabetic test with pre test and post test control design methods to determine if there was a decrease after the administration of the extract. The finding depicted that in the phytochemical screening test, it was observable that Jamaica Cherry (Muntingia calabura L.) bark contained secondary metabolites, incluiding alkaloids, flavonoids, and tannins, while the antidiabetic test indicated that all four extract with concentration of 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg and 400 mg were effective to reduce the blood sugar level with each percentage of 9%, 16%, 26%, and 42%. In brief, the antidiabetic compounds that play a role in the ethanol extract of Jamaica Cherry (Muntingia calabura L.) bark were flavonoids and tannins.

Abstract

Ants nest (Myrmecodia pendans.) is an epiphytic plant from Papua which is used as herbal medicine. The reseacrh to isolate and identification the ethyl acetate fraction of phenyl penatnoate compounds from ant nests(myrmecodia pendans.). The isolaton process was carried out using the maceration technique, fro the purifcation and separation of compounds the thin layer chromatographic and gravity column chromathographic were used F1 isolated were obtained weighing up to 180 mg in liquid. Identification using spectroscopy Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Proton (1H-NMR) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Carbon (13-NMR). The result of identification of isolated F1 indicated the posibillity of a phenyl derivative compound with the proposed name 6-hydroxy-5,5-dimethyl-phenyl-pentanoate.
