Jurnal Ilmu Keperawatan Jiwa [e-ISSN 2621-2978] is a means of developing and publishing scientific works for researchers, lecturers and practitioners of mental nursing published by the Persatuan Perawat Nasional Indonesia Jawa Tengah. Jurnal Ilmu Keperawatan Jiwa is an electronic journal with an open access journal system published twice a year, namely in May and November. Jurnal Ilmu Keperawatan Jiwa publishes articles within the scope of mental nursing broadly but is limited, especially in the field of mental nursing in healthy, risk and disturbance groups. Articles must be the result of research, case studies, results of literature studies, scientific concepts, knowledge and technology that are innovative and renewed within the scope of mental nursing science both on a national and international scale.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is defined as a collection of symptoms that can cause serious psychiatric problems, and one of the negative symptoms of Schizophrenia is low self-esteem. Low self-esteem is a negative self-evaluation of oneself which causes feelings of worthlessness, insignificance, low self-esteem, and if it is prolonged, it is called chronic low self-esteem (HDRK). HDRK is owned by a 30 year old man with a medical diagnosis of Schizophrenia. Clients experience HDRK because they feel they have cognitive deficits. The application of mental nursing care standards aims to make the client have a self-concept; optimal confidence. Nursing intervention that is carried out is to identify and train the abilities or positive aspects possessed by the client. The purpose of this case study is to analyze the results of mental nursing care provided to schizophrenia clients in increasing self-esteem during the online Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in writing is a case report which Ade carried laut for 20 days with a total 0f 14 meetings online via videocall whatsapp. The results of this scientific work show that clients experience an increase in self-esteem after being given mental nursing care online. The effectiveness of the application of standards of nursing care in increasing the self-esteem given to clients is shown by decreasing the signs of low self-esteem in cognitive, affective, behavioral, physiological, and social responses.

Abstract

The Community Mental Health Implementation Team or TP-KJM is a team at the District/City level which consists of several elements and is directly involved in mental health issues in the community. The purpose of this study was to provide an overview of the stigma and perceptions of the TP-KJM regarding mental health problems in the community. This research design is descriptive quantitative with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were part of the TP-KJM, as many as 46 respondents. Data were collected using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire The results showed that 57% of the TP-KJM had a negative stigma and 43% had a positive stigma regarding mental health problems in the community. The description of negative stigma includes assuming that people with mental disorders (ODGJ) cannot control themselves (33%), cannot be allowed to do their own activities outside (26%), people who cannot take care of themselves (24%), are dangerous (22%), disturbing the peace in society (20%), unable to work normally (17%), have no future (4%), disgrace in the family and society (4%), and disturbs the safety of others and the environment (2%).

Abstract

Stroke is a cerebrovascular disease. Ischemic stroke occurs when a blood vessel that supplies blood to the brain is blocked by a blood clot. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family emotional support and the implementation of Continuity of Care for ischemic stroke patients in RSUP. DR. M. Djamil Padang. This research is a descriptive analytic cross sectional approach, sampling using a non-probability method with consecutive sampling technique, the sample is 123 according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection using a questionnaire with Cronbach's alpha is 0.8> 0.01. Data analysis using chi square test. The test results showed that most of them provided good family emotional support. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship with p <0.05 between family support for the implementation of Continuity of Care. Based on the research, it can be concluded that optimal family emotional support increases the implementation of Continuity of Care and has an impact on improving the quality of life of stroke patients.

Abstract

Providing education on the prevention of pneumonia is an effort to reduce morbidity and mortality among children under five. However, after education on mothers of children under five, the incidence of pneumonia is still high. This research is a descriptive study that aims to explore the characteristics and behavior of mothers regarding the prevention of pneumonia. This is done to be able to plan the provision of further interventions for mothers of children under five. The sampling technique used non-probability methods with total sampling techniques totaling 76 respondents. The research instrument used KAP(Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices) with a total of 32 questions, Cronbach alpha knowledge (0.844), attitude (0.807), and action (0.826). Data analysis using analysis univariate. Characteristics of respondents aged 18-40 years (90.8%), most education was high school (65.7%), and non-working / housewives (85.5%). Mean knowledge value7.55,  attitude with the mean value 26.16, and measures with a mean value of 27.22. Based on the conclusions of the results of research on maternal behavior regarding the prevention of pneumonia in children under five associated with inadequate risk factors for pneumonia, it can cause toddlers to have a risk of pneumonia.

Abstract

Caring for individuals with chronic illnesses can be stressful for family members. The majority of hemodialysis patients experience difficulty in carrying out their personal tasks so rely on family caregivers to carry out their daily activities. Family caregivers of hemodialysis patients bear a high burden of care that has a negative effect on their quality of life. This study aims to determine the effect of Family Psychoeducation Therapy (FPE) on the quality of life of the family caregiver in patients undergoing hemodialysis. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design pre-post test with control group. Sampling using random permutation with a sample size of 56 people with 28 family caregivers in the intervention group and 28 family caregivers in the control group. Measurement of quality of life data for family caregivers using the WHOQOL-BREF quality of life instrument. Data analysis used statistical test with t test. Family Psychoeducation Therapy was conducted in 5 sessions. The results showed that there were significant differences in the quality of life of family caregivers before and after Family Psychoeducation Therapy was carried out Therapy (p value 0.0001).

Abstract

Social media being the most frequently accessible to all the community, especially teenagers. Teenangers being more susceptible to the negative impact of social media because the limitation of their self-regulation. So, self-control to be the one important factor that can be strongly influence the behavior of social media usage in adolescents. The purpose of this study was identify sel-control of social media usage in adolescents at SMAN 10 Bandung. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The samples recruited in this study were class XI students who have social media applications on their smartphones and use SKS learning system with using a total sampling technique (n=286, response rate 67,6%). Data collection using a modified Self Control Scale by Rika (2012) and Self-Control theory by Averil with validity values between 0.424-0.778 and alpha Cronbach coefficient 0.919. The instrument consists of 27 statement items using a 1 – 5 Likert scale. Data analysis used frequency distribution and percentage. The result of the research showed that 66,8% of teenagers at SMAN 10 Bandung had moderate self-control of social media usage, the largest percentage of participants had high cognitive control (62,9%), moderate decisional control (81,8%) and moderate behavioral control (76,2%). The conclusion of this research that the largest percentage of participants had moderate sel-control of social media usage which meant that participants have not maximized their self control abilities and have the potential to lead to low or high self control.

Abstract

The performance of HIV/AIDS cadres playing a role in the wider community is still low. The capacity of cadres needs to be improved through partnerships with stakeholders. The purpose is to explain the implementation of the partnership of HIV/AIDS cadre with stakeholders as an effort to reduce stigma among people living with HIV/AIDS in Kudus Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia. The research method used a holistic multiple-case design, with a focus on PLWHA and HIV/AIDS cadres in two locations are Kandangmas and Rejosari villages, Dawe sub-district, Kudus district. A total of 40 participants were recruited through purposive sampling with inclusion criteria. Data analysis using thematic and document analysis. The results showed that after training HIV/AIDS cadres felt more empowered, knew their roles and carried out partnerships with stakeholders. The partnership strategy addresses the critical challenges of health human resources in this region. HIV/AIDS cadres with their transformative role have the potential to improve services in the community to reduce the stigma of PLWHA so as to achieve the goal of HIV elimination.

Abstract

Aggressive behavior is a reaction in the form of attacks carried out by individuals on people and objects around them on purpose with the intention of hurting and damaging them. And in recent times aggressive behavior has increased, one of the causes is addiction to online games. Online games are very popular with all people, including teenagers. Long-term use of violent media such as online games can instill a mindset about violent actions and increase aggressive behavior.The research aimed to determine the description of aggressive behavior in online game addiction. This research is a descriptive study with 225 sample.The sample selection techniques using purposive sampling. The measuring instrument used for the level of online game addiction is the Game Addiction Scale (GAS) instrument, then the researchers used the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire Scale (BPAQ) questionnaire to measure the level of aggressive behavior.The data were analyzed using the frequency distribution. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the higher the online game addiction category, the more likely the aggressive behavior will occur.

Abstract

Preschool aged children are children aged 3-6 years. At preschool age, the psychosocial development of children is obvious, because they have started to actively engage with their peers. The signs of psychosocial development at this stage are that the child begins to know the rules. The psychosocial development of children at the preschool stage will form the basis of a person's psychosocial condition as an adult. Genetic, environmental, and health factors can influence a child's development. One of the health factors that can affect a child's development is a history of using antipyretic drugs. The purpose of this study was to determine the psychosocial development of pre-school age children with a history of using antipyretic drugs before and after being given motor and language stimulation. The research was conducted in Kendal City. This study used a quasi-experimental design with pre post test with control group. The research measuring instrument used a questionnaire with validity and reliability and an observation sheet to measure psychosocial development in preschool children. The research sample consisted of 120 children who were divided into 2 groups. Data were analyzed univariately with central tendency and frequency distribution. While the bivariate analysis used the chi square test. The results showed that there were differences in psychosocial development in pre-school age children in the control group and the intervention group after providing language and motor stimulation with a value of p = 0.038 (p <0.05).

Abstract

The Exposure to The Promotion of Dairy Substitute for Breast Milk and Maternal Motivation As a Factor for Exclusive Breastfeeding. The importance of exclusive breastfeeding has promulgated in health programs, laws, and regulations by Indonesia's Government. However, the rate of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still low, especially in DKI Jakarta. This research conducted to determine the correlation between maternal motivation to breastfeed exclusively in DKI Jakarta. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. Retrieval data performed on 100 mothers who have babies aged between 7 to 24 months in DKI Jakarta using the consecutive sampling method by filling out an online questionnaire. From this research, it obtained that there was there is a significant correlation between maternal motivation with exclusive breastfeeding (p0,000>α0,005) with OR=6,7667 (95%CI:2,702-16,947) where the high motivation in giving breast milk 6.77 times more potential to be able to give her baby exclusive breastfeeding.
